I can't speak to how good the services actually are once you get in the door-- I spent over thirty minutes filling out online paper work only for that to crash once I attempted to submit. I called the location to make an appointment and was referred to a clunky app that now required me to resubmit all the same information. I gave up and called somewhere I could actually schedule a appointment with a person and the whole thing look less than five minutes for a next day visit. I just love taking my pups to The Pet Set. Everyone is always professional the moment you walk into the store. Kelly has been grooming my mini schnauzer for a few years and has always done a fantastic job. I recently added a giant schnauzer to the family and yesterday I took him to get his first cut. I was nervous because he's baby and is super fidgety which is normal at his age. As soon as they brought him out front all I could do is smile because he looked AMAZING!! Let me start off by saying I love bringing my pet here. I literally live walking distance from here but this place loves my dog like she's no other. Bre the groomer and daycare teacher is also my favorite too. She ensures my pet Luna is safe at all times and that there are no problems. These people have ensured that they communicate properly with the parents about everything even the smallest changes. My dog Luna is a big girl, very playful, but quiet and she won't speak up is something is wrong with her. Therefore The PetSet has always ensured Lunas concerns are always heard. They provide a generous amount of affection as well. I have never seen my dog so happy to leave me ever! May 25, 2023 Wanda groomed my two little pooches today and did an absolutely terrific job. I wanted them shaved down with a #7 blade since their hair mats easily. I appreciated that their toe nails were clipped the right amount, the hair on their foot pads was closely cropped and their private areas were cleaned up nicely. I'll definitely ask for Wanda the next time I bring my dogs in. My only issue today is that nobody told me I'd be charged an extra 4% for using my credit card. That, I didn't appreciate. But the manager handled it well and my overall experience at the Pet Set was very positive. read more

I brought my pup for a grooming he is a Maltese and Shitzu and they cut him like a French Terrier. I asked specifically not to cut his ears too low and they went ahead and did it anyways. I asked why wasn't I notified prior to doing it and they said because he was too matted and he wouldn't look right. I'm the paying customer and my request was not acknowledged at all. They also charged me extra for it.. They also told me three different prices throughout the day. In addition, I dropped him off at 9:30am and he wasn't done until 3pm. I had to call to see what time they'll be done. I will not be returning to this establishment as the communication is poor and customer service should be improved. read more

I really loved this place for my fur baby especially because it was across the street from my house so super convenient. My lease was up recently and I decided to rent a room to save money this time around weeks later I begin to see my dog growing, getting fatter, and her nipples started to sag. The owner is trying to convince you I'm not a customer, and he's exactly right - I am not anymore, but I have receipts. I found a groomer - Doggy Styles in L5P - that respects my time and money and, bonus, does a much better job. If you like your dogs, do not board them at the Pet Set of Briarcliff. I live from across the street and I can attest that the dogs are apparently left outdoors for most of the day, regardless of the weather and they are barking all day which is a sign of very little attention. This area is also in the back of the plaza and not too far from the trash containers that sometimes stink to the heavens. I really feel sorry for the dogs left there and I can understand that dogs will bark on occasion but all day long seems like a sign of negligence. read more

Get ready for the rant! So furious! We took our dogs to be groomed at The Pet Set. We have used The Pet Set for years. They shared via email and their website all the safety/disinfecting measures they are taking with the current virus that is going around killing dogs, said that they would work to get dogs done quickly, and let us know right away when they were done. We felt safe taking them in. When we dropped them off they assured us they would call as soon as they were done. We waited and waited. We called them after 5 hours to see what was going on they said they would check with the groomer and call us back. We finally get a text, and hour later, saying they are ready, but that one of our dogs had pooped, had to be washed twice and nipped at the groomer so it would be an extra $15 dollars. He has NEVER nipped! We immediately went and picked them up to only learn that they didn't tell us that our regular and requested groomer no longer worked there meaning that this was a groomer we didn't know. It was obvious that our dog had a stressful day. We noticed that the groomer did not really finish his grooming around his face either. The next morning his eye was really irritated and red. He has ongoing eye issues so we called the veterinary eye doctor he sees to get an appointment. He saw the eye doctor today. His eyelid and eye under the lid are bruised. The doctor said this is trauma and took pictures. He is now on 3 eye drops and an oral anti inflammatory medication, a check in via phone on Monday, and follow up appointments to come. We also found that both dogs were not cut well. Our dog that was not injured had a bald spot at the top of his ear and the bottom of his ears were very uneven. Our injured dog had not been fully trimmed under his chin or his beard. Neither dogs feet had been trimmed well nor had their nails been trimmed. Needless to say we will no longer be using The Pet Set and encourage others to do the same!!! read more

If I could give a 0, I ABSOLUTELY would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! Our dog was killed under their supervision last week! My sister dropped our beloved 6lb Yorkie off this morning for a trial doggy daycare visit before using them for boarding. She was told her baby girl would watched the full time and put with other SMALL dogs. Within a couple hours she got a call that our dog had been killed by an English bulldog while under supervision of an attendant. This is very unacceptable for a place that says "We separate pets by sizes into play areas." A bull dog is much larger than a tiny 6lb yorkie. I do not see how a staff member was not able to control the situation before this escalated so far. We were told there was no need to take Lexi to the vet because she was already gone by the time they got the other dog off of her. However, they do not have veterinary staff on hand to confirm this. Our family is extremely devastated by the loss and do not want to see other families go through the same heartbreak. read more

I took my dog her for a groom to get shaped up. The experience booking was very easy. They respond promptly to text and email. I originally wanted the mobile service however they worked with me to ensure I was comfortable bringing him for curbside drop off. The employees wore masks and the team overall was very welcoming. For his groom, I sent a photo and was specific with my request. They did a great job delivering! My dog smelled so great. His teeth were in good shape and all the knots were gone. His nails were trimmed evenly and he had the cutest bandana on him after it was over. I will be booking another appointment to ensure my dog is clean, free of matted hair, and with impeccable teeth! UPDATE: that's called and left a message on my answering machine attempting to apologize, by blaming me.she stated that I was the one being rude because she was busy with a customer. Earlier before the customer came in I had tried to engage Beth in conversation twice in which she ignored me. then when I asked her the question about the dog with wings in the window. She rudely snapped at me and said the prices on it look. She could see that I was trouble seeing due to I had a seeing eye dog on leash in front of me. and she's the one that's calling me rude for interrupting her wow! I'm more than likely will not return ever again to the pet set. I don't see how Beth, the manager, can be so rude to a disabled person and think that they'll come back into the store and reward her rudeness by purchasing items in the store.I certainly do not reward people with money because they treat me rudely. I was trying to purchase a large ceramic dog with wings and was treated so rudely by a person named Beth. I am disabled and legally blind and I have a service dog. I asked her for the price of an Item, and she snapped at me stating; "it's marked right on it, you need to look." It wasn't marked at all. Even being legally blind I could see that there was no tag on it or I wouldn't have asked her. I try to be as independent as possible. I then stated to her that she was being rude and there wasn't a label marking the price on the item at all. She then stated to me that she was too busy to help me. So I left the store. A few minutes later I called the store and ask to speak to the owner of the store. The man who answered the phone said that he wasn't there but he would leave a message for him to call me about the matter. within an hour I had a return call but it wasn't from the owner it was from Beth trying to make sure the owner didn't find out how she is so rude to customers. read more
