Super friendly staff and clean shop. I only needed them to check tire pressures and confirm if the warning light in my car was accurate or if I had a bigger problem. They were pretty busy but even so the very kind woman had a mechanic check my tires. I offered to pay but she would not take payment. Had a flat on my car. (First time in years). I've had a screw in one of my tires for like over a year. So been driving on borrowed time. But wasn't sure it was the same tire, anyway roadside came out and put my donut on. lol Went down to Tire Source, haven't been there in a long time. But have always given me great service. Old school service. Which is the best! She had quoted me $45 apiece because of my tire size, 20 inch. So I get down there and I find out that the tire that had the one screw, actually had a new screw in it, so one tire with two screws, and the "mystery flat"!!!! She had both tires done in probably a half an hour. Because I actually walked across the street to the restaurant to have lunch but they were closed because of Veterans Day. And so I just sat on the steps in the sun. Walked back across and there was my car sitting in the lot! I go in and she gave me a break. Only charged me $40 apiece! Came here in need of a replacement tire after my wheel gave out on the freeway. Kind woman came out took a look and gave me a couple options for getting a replacement tire. Chose a used tire and she took my car in for a few minutes and I was out of there under 30 mins! Very straight forward and great (fair) pricing! Had a bad tire about ready to blow and didn't have money for a new one; with a road trip coming up i needed help quickly. Called around looking for a used tire without success until one of the shops i called recommended Petaluma Tire Source. So i called....not only did they have a used tire my size, they had time to do it today!!!! I got over my shock and drove down to their convenient downtown location. There were a couple of people ahead of me but i was still out of there in less than an hour with a quality used tire in great shape for a very reasonable price. It's been years since my last review and it's AWESOME to know that the Tire Source hasn't changed A BIT! They are very honest people and not in business to rip you off! They're knowledgeable and I always get a phenomenal deal. You may pay $10 bucks less per tire at places like Costco, but have you ever been there?? Long waits for the tires and 20,000 others fighting for their spot in line. NO THANKS! I'll stick with the Petaluma Tire Source as long as they will have me! I purchased a full set back in December 2015 and got a flat this week. They patched the flat....no plugs here! Patches are waaaaaay better and they didn't try to sell me a new tire. Even looked up my record to let me know when my last set was purchased and when I should consider coming back. I LOVE this place. Aside from all the above praise, they also don't fool around! I had a great experience with Petaluma Tire Source. My front driver-side tire was flat and I needed a replacement. Because my other 3 tires were still in very good shape they recommended a good condition used tire. The price they offered was terrific and their quote included tax and labor. This is a legit tire shop. I'm happy to have found this place. They took my van first thing in the morning to patch a flat and rotate my tires so I can get on the road and make it to work. They were accommodating and happy to make it happen. Petaluma Tire is a smaller, more nimble business that was willing to make the extra effort to source and install a new tire within hours. They were very busy, but attentive. We prepared for a trip cross country and I went through my car dolly to make sure we didn't have any issues..... Of course issues popped up Friday evening before we left. My rims were extremely hot to touch and I could smell my brakes were engaged just going across town. I called them first thing Saturday morning and they told me to bring it in and they take care of us. That they did. They inspected the brakes and wheel bearings and corrected the issue quickly. Turned out to be a quick connect fitting inside the trailer frame came undone. They treated us very well with a very fair price especially for the short notice service request which they had a packed shop and still too us in! The Petaluma Tire Source is a prime example of the way business used to be done and how business SHOULD be done. I'm the years that my family and I have brought our business to Petaluma Tire Source we have never been up-sold, we have been treated with respect and old fashioned courtesy. The woman who works in the front office is knowledgeable and will absolutely match your level of respect. If you are patient and respectful, expect her to respond in kind. If you take a less polite approach, you receive the same. The one aspect of this business that I truly appreciate is the fact that they're only goal is to have your car leaving in the BEST possible shape possible. Multiple times I've needed a small add-on service or there was something that needed to be checked out and without fail they either: a) call and ask if I'd like them to do the other service rather than a "surprise this is on your bill now" or b) they have fixed whatever needed further inspection without charge. This isn't some scheme to trick me paying them less (which would be a questionable business strategy) but a level of genuineness that is hard to find today. I will be moving to another state soon and will sincerely miss the level of service and professionalism that is standard at The Petaluma Tire Source. My tire was flat because I had a nail in it and tried to take it to Midas which is where I got my tires from and the guy immediately told me it could not be repaired because of where it was in the tire and told me it would be $144 for a new tire. I told him I would like a second opinion and went to Petaluma tire source the next day. They told me it was patchable and left there 20 minutes later paying only $30. They saved me $114!!! This incredible tire store ticks off all the boxes for me. I have been here about 3 times in the few years living in Petaluma. Diane (not sure if she is the owner or just works the front desk) is always friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and fair with her assessment of my tires. I was in desperate need of 4 new tires plus an alignment and Diane was able to order 4 brand new ultra-high performance tires for my Lexus sedan and fit me in the very next day...first thing in the morning at 8 am! Right in time before the Christmas weekend rush. I was so thankful for this. I was in and out of there in a jiffy and their work was completed in the same estimated time frame Diane promised it would. I had previously shopped around before coming to The Petaluma Tire Source and had been to three "other local tire stores" and had to spend minutes searching in a maze of cars and employees for someone to help me and/or waiting to be helped while the front desk employees chat with one another - you know that feeling, right? But that just doesn't seem to happen at Tire Source - the moment I walk in the door, I've always been greeted promptly and asked how I could be helped. I like the smaller and quiet mom-and-pop feel of the store and quirky waiting room with toys for kids and tons of magazines stacked on huge monster tires. The chairs are comfy and relaxing to read in. There's even free coffee and snacks for sale in a vending machine. Every time I have come to the Petaluma Tire Source to get new tires and wheel alignments I have been surprised at how reasonable their fees are. Just out of curiosity I actually went online after getting a quote here and found two of the tires for the same price on Amazon as Diane quoted me. In fact, two of the larger tires on Amazon were actually MORE expensive than the Tire Source. The Petaluma Tire Source is a very honest and legit company. My car is driving smooth and great now. Hugging the road well on turns, and no more scary wobbly alignment issues. Thank you Tire Source. Consistent and quality customer service is evident here.
