Definitely worth a visit if in the area. Delicious english pub food, massive portions, and something for everybody on a varied menu. For me, there is too much choice! I want to try everything! Its always busy, and has a good well, stocked bar. tv's everywhere show sports...usually football! Was dragged along by new co-workers for a dew pints and a bite to eat, and boy was I happy they did!!! First off the appearance inside and out is what you would figure a quintessential British hole in the wall pub would be like. Very low ceilings, nooks and cut outs for tables and the immense amounts of wood. l As I was waiting for other friends I helped myself to a few pints of Guinness and Kronenbourg 1664 both great brews. I also ordered a cheeseburger which came along with rocket and chips which was a great tasting burger. I normally can eat my through anything but I could not finish this burger!!! It was giant, you won't be cheated. Basically it's a great plaxe to stop of you have an extended layover at Heathrow Airport, short ride and walk if you take a bus from Heathrow Central. You'll have the co-mingling of Airport employees and staff so if you dont mind being in the company of locals and flight attendants, this is the place. read more

Convneient walking distance to the hotel we were at, which was great because we needed some fresh air after 3 days of meetings. Great food w large portions. Probably a bit too much for us, but menu had a lot of English dishes which was great for those us traveling from abroad and wanting to taste something english. Definitely recommend. The Pheasant Restaurant was recommended to us while we stayed at a hotel near Heathrow. It was just short walk down a side-street from the hotel. This place is such a gem! I've seen the wonderful reviews but I wanted to say that the The Pheasant Restaurant did a wonderful job with the very specific needs we had. My husband has celiac and they had a GREAT gluten-free beer he had never had! I'm a vegetarian and I had THE BEST veggie burger I have ever had! (And I have had a lot.) It was so good that I stopped the waiter twice to confirm that it was not beef. He said that people do that all of the time. The service is good. The restaurant is very nice and the food is excellent. What a find! read more

Lucked into this place after being a victim of the British Airways fiasco. Really turned around our holiday (honeymoon). Great staff, great food in the restaurant. The pub has plenty of seating inside and outside. Wish we could have a proper night out here. Will definitely visit next time we're in London. read more

On visiting my father to introduce him to my boyfriend for the first time he was recommended to this restaurant. On greeting we was asked to wait whilst the manager showed us to the restaurant full of empty tables bar 3 tables to the rear. The manager came out who was less than friendly, grabbed some menus and asked us to follow him upstairs. He moved very slowly so was a few minutes when we reached the table. He pulled a chair out with his back to us then started walking towards another then wondered off. The waiter then approached us who was actually quite friendly and took our drinks order. On his return he asked for our main order which I needed a few more minutes to decide. He came back a few minutes later and we all ordered. I chose the fillet and asked for it rare as I like my meat the way it should be, my father asked for the mixed grill and the bf the livers. The livers arrived like school dinner liver which everyone hates and why I don't eat them, the only words my dad could describe is mank for his meal and my fillet wasn't the best. My meal was served with potatoes which tasted like aunt bessies frozen which I only had at a friends mums house who can't cook! I wouldn't expect this from a restaurant charging over £20 for a steak. I eat at restaurants a lot and my bf is a chef so maybe I just have higher expectations than the others. I believe the other reviews must be based on the pub food not the restaurant as that was a lot more busy so take note if you do go there read more

The portions here are mega and quality is not forgotten for size, you'll be fuller for longer and still satisfied by the food. The place itself is cool and casual aswell, a great place for a catch up with friends. read more

This is my go to place when staying on the Bath Road side of Heathrow Airport. Prices are fair and portions are ok. I ordered the calamari strips, which was enough for 3 of us to share as an appetizer. Fish and chips for dinner which was good but I would have rather had an extra piece of fish and less fries. All in all the pints are good as well as a friendly staff. Place fills up quick, even early for dinner. In good weather there is an outside dining area. Enjoy! read more

So glad I checked Yelp before our overnight layover in LHR. We checked into the Hilton-Heathrow (Terminal 4) and then it was a $15/15 minute cab ride to The Pheasant. My husband and I had an amazing portion of beer battered cod and curly fries/cole slaw and I had the shepard's pie with vegetables and bread. Way too big to finish--so bring your appetite---but it was absolutely delicious. Everything we were looking for in an English pub and didn't have to waste time searching in London. Good food, good beer, and it was Saturday night so a very diverse group of locals dancing to an 80's mix. Very fun! Would go back in a heartbeat. read more

Good find and must if your in an LHR hotel. Short walk fr Renaissance ( don't use google path and you get there in 15 vs 37 min. Pub side is order 1st and hope to find a table. Most folks aren't alone so can secure table and send envoy to order. I was alone so went to restaurant side - all full so I headed back to hotel...owner/manager chased me down before I crossed street as they found little spot for me...yea! Service was fantastic start to finish. Food was good but I was unadventurous ordering soup and chicken pie. Soup was carrot, parsnip and coriander - very nice. Pie top notch, crust perfect. Menu has some very interesting choices - something for everyone. Portions large enough to share but didn't have oppt'y to see if they allow. As far as pub food goes this place rocks. English pub food and be bland and well, not just very appetizing. The menu is extensive and the food was fresh and well prepared each time I dined here on recent London stops. It walking distance from several hotels and can get crowded in peak times. I had the mussels and salmon dish which were both well prepared with lots of flavor in the accompaniments. If your are staying near LHR this is a good bet, the bar itself has a good selection of beer and adult beverages. The outside seating area is extremely nice and servers are very responsive. One of my better experiences in greater London to be honest. read more

I've been here a few times, and each time the food has been excellent. I've been here for the Sunday roast, and fish and chips and on each occasion the food was excellent. It does take a while to get served, but given the portion sizes, and given how well everything is cooked, I'm happy enough to wait. read more
