He was making coffee in an usual way with a drip process and wasn't done until my husband finished his meal. I had spring rolls and pho vegetables soup for breakfast. There was two little eggs in my soup. I had to ask. They were quail eggs. Tasty. My husband had the pork chop eggs and rice with a little salad garnish and small bowl of soup. An amazing meal! Last night on the way back from Sacramento, we were cold and hungry. In the mood for something warm and filling. I suggested pho and Bernie agreed! *This review is solely on the appetizers and banh mi* I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and fried tofu. First of all they gave me sweet and sour sauce instead of peanut sauce for my spring rolls. I was disappointed that I did not have the right sauce for my spring rolls. That is a ding for the customer service for putting the wrong sauce in my to go order. They are also pretty small for the price. The fried tofu was too breaded and the breading was too hard/overly crispy. My sister ordered the banh mi (not pictured). She did not like it at all. We couldn't wait to try this establishment when it opened. We were greeted soon as we came in and were seated quickly. The customer service was good! They managed to check on us multiple times and answered all the questions we had about the menu. The food was absolutely delicious! You can tell everything was freshly made with fresh ingredients. New Pho Restaurant. Just opened recently so you know we had to try it. We were going to order todo but decided to dine in since the ambiance was so nice. All the employees were very nice and efficient. We got the egg rolls and chicken wings as an appetizer, both were good but I do wish the chicken wings had different flavors to chose from. My BF ordered the #1 Pho combination and it loved it and had no complaints. Bun Bo hue: very good, love everything about it. Coffee: strong and just sweet enough Cleanliness : spotless because it's 2 days old. Grand opening was Saturday 6/12/23 Ambiance: nice atmosphere, bright and tables were spaced out comfortably. Service: staff was still new. Business was on its 2nd day. I can't judge because of the crowd that was there. When I return to this establishment in the near future, I'll give an honest opinion then when the staff has more experience. Over all a very good experience. I will definitely be back here again! Manteca doesn't have good place for pho, un-pho-gettable WAS good but it's hasn't been ever since owners have changed. I never went to a restaurant like this, that is so bad, the food is not tasty, the service it's really bad, I didn't even get all my dishes on time or or good enough of amount. I feel like they could be inconsistent sometimes especially in portion size, but I just love how they have vegan options(including the protein!) and the broth is just as flavorful as a meat based one. The broth is very "ok." The portions are wildly inconsistent. Don't order the lobster and wagyu. It is a gimic for social media and is not good. The Wagyu is not quality Japanese but cheap American "wagyu" and the lobster was overcooked and rubbery. It is a regular combo pho with meatball, tendon, tripe, steak, etc. with a lobster and a small side of raw beef. Should have stated that the other meats were included in case people do not like them. They do not have Ot Ngam Giam (pickled jalapeños), which is a kind of red flag that the food is not great Viet. Service is good. They seem understaffed but generally friendly. They're trying to keep up but need more help and could be more efficient, which will come with experience. The service is the best thing about this restaurant. The restaurant is clean and cute. I ordered a small chicken pho and got the pork Bánh mì. I loved the flavor in the sandwich! It was perfect! Very tender meat and the veggies were very fresh. I even dipped the sandwich into the pho broth. Legit the best I've had. The pho was really good! They had the fixings and all. But I couldn't get over how good the Bánh mì was.
