Delicious food! Pad Thai is fantastic! Service is great! So much food i had enough the next day!!

I've been eating Thai food since 1980 when a Thai, Chinese couple moved to the town where I was. I coined the term "melt your ears spicy" from my first experience. The lady asked how spicy and I said "The way you like it" and that was my first experience. That has never been duplicated. I happened to be that far north, coming from AllCare and stopped to try their food. First thing: I didn't see Prig King on the menu. That has been my go-dish since my first time eating Thai food. (I was told later just to ask for it. They have had enough requests.) I ordered the Panang Curry and the Thai Curry Puff Samosa appetizer, and a Thai iced coffee. The food was good. I needed chopsticks for the Curry Puffs because they were so hot. The Panang Curry had a portion of rice that would have been $3.99 anywhere else. Everything was reasonable and the food was good. The Thai iced coffee was different than expected but not bad. When I'm out that far for a walk, I'll try again. read more

When I order from here, I usually get the Singapore noodles because I love the thinness of them and the flavor that comes in the curry. Today I went with the Thai Vermicelli Bowl w/pork and a spring roll. I added soy sauce and sriracha as the dish itself doesn't come with over whelming flavor, but it's a nice go to when you want a cool dish that will fill you for the evening! I visited Mani Thai in April 2025 at 8:20 pm or so. I went with my niece and her grandmother. We didn't get much of a greeting when we walked in and sat ourselves at a table that would have comfortably sat 5-6 people. It wad dimly lit and had light music playing that wasn't too distracting. It was very quiet for a Friday night, might be a good option if you're looking for a non-crowded option. The only thing was that there seemed to be quite a few to go orders that were being picked up. Not a huge deal, just noticeable. Our order was promptly taken. I ordered the Pad Thai (spicy). Niece ordered the pot stickers. Her grandmother ordered the Yellow Curry with white rice. She also ordered a Thai iced tea. I tried the pot stickers and they were good but definitely had an aroma of vegetables. Might not be everyone's jam. My niece liked them and that's all that mattered. The Pad Thai tasted good but seemed really creamy compared to other places I've been. The flavor was good and level of spice was just right. If I had to change anything, I would say add just a touch more peanut flavor and throw 1-3 shrimp in the dish and it would balance it really nicely. At least an option would be nice! Overall, I'm going to give 4 stars. I wasn't too impressed with the service but the timelessness and food were good. First time going inside the restaurant, cute cozy vibes inside. Service was very pleasant and fast. I asked the server what curry was her favorite so that I can try something new and she said the panang curry. Which is this red curry and I honestly can't praise this dish enough. It was perfect! I got medium heat with chicken and shrimp and the flavors were so amazing I was contemplating on getting seconds. Served with rice , it was the perfect combination ! Since we were looking for another new place to try we placed a DoorDash order for dinner on Friday. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, duck curry and 2 Thai iced tea with boba. My boyfriend's go-to order is always the pineapple fried rice at Thai restaurants. He thought the dish here didn't taste so good. He said the sauce tasted off and the chicken was hard. He said he tasted better elsewhere. As for the duck curry, I didn't like color of the duck meat, It was red. I don't think I ate red duck meat before. It almost didn't look like duck to me and usually if the color is red it's not cooked. I tried microwaving a piece and it still had the red color. The dish overall was good and not spicy. I decided to try this place out via delivery service. My order was duck red curry, pad Thai, sticky mango rice and a Thai tea, which was delivered promptly without any issues. The problem was the food, particularly the duck curry. I noticed a weird smell right when I opened the lid (almost like it was off) but I tried it anyway hoping it was just the seasonings or something. I thought it was the strangest tasting curry I ever had. The duck was so chewy I spent about a minute chewing and chewing and finally spat it out and noticed all my chewing did absolutely nothing to the meat! It was still in one piece and then I noticed the taste it left behind. Definitely off and made me want to gag. I was happy I wasn't able to chew it and swallow it at this point. So good!! I was a little nervous coming in, and seeing this place empty at 7 pm on a Saturday. The staff was super friendly and had menus down as we walked in. I wasn't attended upon arrival although staff was aware I arrived given that they have a bell at the door. If I had to describe my first experience at Mani Thai Cuisine in Manteca in one word, it would be: WOW. If I had two words, they'd be: WOW and SPICY. Here's the scoop: Walking in, I was hit with the aroma of sizzling spices and basil so fresh it might have been grown out back by a Thai grandma. The ambiance? Think "Zen meets cozy meets 'I could live here.'" I half expected Buddha to come out of the kitchen with my Pad Thai. Now, the food. I started with the Pad Thai, which was so perfectly done, I suspect it did CrossFit before hitting the plate. Then came the Coconut Curry w/chicken, a dish so rich and flavorful it could probably run for office and win. The coconut curry chicken? Let's just say it had me questioning why I ever bothered with boring food before. Every bite was a flavor explosion--like a party in my mouth where everyone brought amazing gifts. Pro tip: If you don't handle spice well, proceed with caution (and maybe a fire extinguisher). The heat sneaks up on you like a Thai ninja--but hey, what's a good curry without a little thrill? The staff? Super friendly. They laughed at my pronunciation of "Pad See Ew" but didn't hold it against me. Pretty good in terms of flavor & spice, my only complaint is the ratio of veggies/noodles to meat in every dish that I've had from here. I get *maybe* 5 small pieces of chicken in the drunken noodles which isn't comparable to other Thai places I've been to. read more

My work friends and I ordered around 6 or 7 entrees here. We ordered upgrades such as shrimp and beef. We ordered specific heat levels of spice. Not only did they completely mess up in terms of not having any spice flavor this time, they also did not include the beef and shrimp that was ordered in our specific entrées. Complained to Uber eats. They did nothing. I will be sure that we do not order from here the next time we need food at work. Granted yes, Uber eats did not give us credit back on the up charges like shrimp and beef, but it was the restaurant who made these mistakes in the first place. I contemplated between a 2 and a 3 here. But to mess up multiple peoples orders seems like you can't give them the benefit of the doubt and round up. read more

My son loves Thai food. So we don't really have much choice but to try different Thai restaurants. When we reached the restaurant, it was empty around 2pm. We ordered Thai fried rice, steam rice and ginger shrimp stir fry. I was happy to see fresh flowers on table. Our server was super sweet, greeted us and checked on us several times while we dined in. As we were almost done with our lunch, we noticed several more people came. It feels like most of them were regular customers coming in for late lunch. Pro- Plenty of parking. This little hole in the wall is a gem in Manteca! If in the area try this local business and you won't be disappointed. The ambiance is exactly what you would expect from a small Thai business. The service is impressive, the waitress is very attentive and helpful. I asked to try the salad dressing and she happily obliged. It was not what I wanted as I am accustomed to another Thai restaurant's sauce so I decided to go with the wonton soup. I'm so glad I did! It is delicious! I would give it a 8.5 out of 10 stars. The carrots tasted off, maybe frozen? But the cabbage, broth, and wontons were absolutely fresh and delicious! I only got 8 wontons in my soup, I would suggest one wonton for every dollar the soup costs, so I'm this case 10 as the minimum amount of wontons. The waitress asked if I wanted chili for my soup and I responded yes. She returned with a carousel of three or four different types of chili. I prefer the oil based chili so that was the one I used, it was spicy just like I like! Excellent! I was wanting to try the mango sticky rice but needed to head home so I got it to go. It was delicious... mangoes are not in season so they were not very juicy but still sweet. The sweet sticky rice was served with the coconut milk (yummy) and cooked to perfection then topped with sesame seeds. Absolutely delicious and I am positive would be a 10 out of 10 stars if mangoes were in season, but I still give it a nine out of 10 overall. This local gym is a solid 4 1/2 out of five stars only yelp doesn't let me give half stars so I'm giving it for. I tend to order the curry dish that doesn't have potatoes. Sometimes green, sometimes yellow. I couldn't get enough of that stuff. They also had good Thai iced tea and crispy egg rolls. Manteca you deserve better than this. You commute 2 hours + a day and work hard for your money. Please understand that youre paying too much for this mediocre food. The flat noodle is never cooked correctly like other places that actually makes decent Thai food. This lady over the phone recommended I get the "lunch special " I should've asked the price over phone......When I showed up to pick up for the " lunch special " (For 2) she said $46! I was a bit surprised, as it didn't come with a drink. I figured this better be the best Thai food I've ever had. Well, coming from Sacramento and even Lodi area where there is good Thai for even cheaper price. Finally able to come back for dine in while I was in town. Food is delicious! I've followed the chef from restaurant to restaurant. Everything they make is delicious. Mani Thai is like a lot of places I like to visit, a small store front with a no frills approach and good food. I've had their yellow curry several times and it's one of my favorites. With chicken or just vegetables, it's flavorful and rich. Their papaya or mango salad have that fish sauce and sugar sweetness that's refreshing on a hot day (and we have a few of those out in Manteca). Service is friendly and they can help navigate you through the menu if this is your experience. I can't speak on the ambiance because I ordered takeout. The food is so delicious! I got the pad Thai and Thai fried rice (both veggie) and they're so full of flavor. The portion size is huge, I'll definitely have leftovers. I will say that the spice level is pretty intense and I enjoy spicy, it doesn't drown out the flavor but I'd definitely get even less spice next time. I did medium and I feel like it's very spicy. Our first time trying Mani Thai and we were not disappointed! The ambiance was very relaxing with very pleasant music playing in the background. Our waitress was super sweet and helpful offering to make recommendations if we needed. Once she found out it was our first time there she gave us a nice welcome and thanked us for coming in. The food was so delicious with just the perfect spice level at "Mild" for us both which still had just enough warmth of heat and flavor. I had the Mussaman Curry and my husband had the Pad Thai.
