First time here visiting as I'm on a work trip. The broth was a tad bit bland. I had to add a decent amount of fish sauce. But they give generous portions of meat and noodles. They do have a really good chili garlic oil that I added to my broth that kicked it up a notch. The 1 star I knocked off was the service. It wasn't that busy but my egg roll order was taken to the wrong table and then brought to me. Then I had to ask for water and napkins twice. I never got the check. My go to pho restaurant was closed for the holidays so I decided to try Pho Hanoi. Located at a very convenient spot, lots of parking. Option to dine in but I ordered the food to go. Conflicted with how I should review my experience... I ordered two dishes (#4 and #6), one for my partner and another for myself. Food was packed pretty carelessly inside. One rough turn and your broth will spill all over; luckily it's tied inside another bag. Other places that I've been to, if I ordered two pho meals, I would get them packed separately, which helps tremendously with securing the food. Got home... prepping to reheat the broth. Could tell it was super oily. Wish the container included jalapeños to help with the oil. Broth wasn't the best that I've had. I don't usually use any of the chili or hoisin sauce in my pho but I had to this time. Broth was just so oily and bland. Adding the sauce packs in my broth helped so much with the flavors. Not sure if the experience would've been better if I dined in instead. Price was more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants close by but the meat, noodles, and beansprout seemed fresh. It is located at such a nice location (next to 168), would be perfect to go to after or before grocery shopping, but I would make the extra mile drive to my go to instead. read more

I got takeout from Pho Hanoi and I was a tad bit disappointed. The broth was extremely oily and coated my entire mouth so it didn't give this nice cozy feeling that I usually get when eating Pho. I thought it was just an old cable and if you're in a pinch go for it, but there are definitely some better places nearby. read more

First and foremost, they open at 9am!! All other Pho joints open at 10:30am, 11 or 11:30am and I liked how they opened early. Second, on the table, they have my favorite - pickled peppers/garlic. This goes so well with the pho! I got the fresh spring roll and #4 - Pho with sliced beef. As for the Pho itself, it was decent. I liked that the broth was not on the sweet side and it hit the spot early in the morning! I ate half normally, then for the rest, I added the samba sauce that was on the table to give it some spice. This brings the pho to new flavor level, definitely recommend it. The spring roll was good... I also add the siracha sauce to give it some kick. Then added some pickled peppers on top before eating it. If you like spicy food, give it a try. The service was good, food came out quick. Stopped by Pho Hanoi while shopping around in the area with some friends. The interior is functional with some seating, but nothing fancy. The service was great, with nice servers and the menu is mostly split between beef or pork pho. I ended up getting the house special and thought it was pretty good, but not as flavorful as some of the other pho in the area. All in all, I think Pho Hanoi is worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

Got #10, #8, #3. 3 dishes prepared in 10 minutes. I question the "freshness." Taste is not bad. Their chili sauce is quite spicy and flavorful. However, it is not worth the price. It was your average pho, but $15 -$18 price range. It does contain msg, and they said there's no way around that. Vietnamese owners. The chef was sitting there like a customer, lol. Was surprised when he went to the kitchen after we ordered. Barely any customers on q weekday 6pm. The Styrofoam cup for the soup broke, resulting in lots of hot spilled soup. Pho Hanoi sits in between Fuji Buffet and 168. Small restaurant but smells delicious as you walk in! They give you a sweet tea as you enter which is warm and comforting. We ordered spring rolls, bon bo hue, and bun cha ha noi. After taking a look at their menu, I do believe this food is a bit overpriced. The spring rolls were $7 and you get two very ordinary rolls. The reason for the 3 stars is I ordered bon bo hue, and when I received my noodles, I noticed that it wasn't as pictured on the menu. The dish is supposed to have blood sausage in it. After digging around i realized it wasnt in there. I felt pretty miffed and when I asked, they checked in the kitchen and confirmed even though the dish was supposed to have it, they ran out. Maybe it was a communication error, but at the time they ordered, they didn't tell me they didn't have the blood sausage. At the time they gave it to me, they didn't tell me either. I had to ask. It almost felt shady, like they were hoping I wouldn't notice that they didn't include their most expensive ingredient or wouldn't ask for it. And then at the end of the meal they charged us full price. What the heck?! I've been to restaurants where they actually pulled the whole dish from the menu because they didn't have blood sausage. I felt as If they could have just communicated with me in the beginning and it would literally be no issue. Or communicated it at the time they delivered the food. It just felt underhanded and that they were hoping I wouldn't notice. At $15 a bowl I would expect all ingredients to be in there, especially the most expensive and important one. read more

We loved the Pho here! I got my favorite Pho Tai and was delighted to see that there were 2 different chili sauces that we could use to enhance the flavors. We were served water by the cutest little robot and everything was hot and fresh. The food came out promptly and the server (Human) was attentive. Our usual go to for Vietnamese is Little Saigon, but we decided to give Pho Hanoi a try tonight. I'll start with the ambiance. When you walk in, you'll see a random table of hand sanitizers, masks, gloves, etc.. super random to be selling at a restaurant, in my opinion. You'll also see that half of the restaurant is randomly covered with banquet chairs and linen tablecloth. There is only about 11 items on the menu and you are given water in a paper cup with no refill. The food came out quickly. I ordered the pho house special. The soup was very very bland, even after adding a ton of hot sauce, lime, and basil. The portions here are bigger but also more expensive. My husband ordered #8 noodle dish and the noodles were all very mushy.. he didn't really care for it. It's next to party city. Signage is all blue too. Ordered two chicken pho and a mangonada, so it's sweet and sour. We were given some tea, complimentary and small bottles of water too. The chicken pho bowls are big here. The broth is okay, not a deep broth. We like the chili and the jalapeño condiments for the pho soups. The basil is a bit burnt looking for our pho and the chicken meat is white meat, but poorly trimmed and lots of gristle and cartilage between our two bowls. Had to ask for our mangonada after we started eating our chicken pho. The mangonada is okay, not outstanding for me. read more

Good for pho and good customer service. However, their pho bowl is expensive (in my opinion). I have found cheaper pho for better flavor and more ingredients (again, in my opinion). It's good but not the best I've had, that's for sure. If you're craving pho though, this place will be good enough to satisfy you. Cons: They had small water bottles to give out to customers, instead of like most restaurants giving out cups of water and ice. So we probably couldn't get refills on that. They have a drink menu with smoothies and boba (if I remember correctly), yet they had no items to make the drinks, so I wasn't able to order any drink/s. It feels too crowded here. Too much tables in a small restaurant is not good. Should consider taking a few away and that way it feels like there's room to walk and have space to eat and for privacy. Pros: wanted to order one bowl of pho for two of my kids to share but they said that my kids would just get them free since it's just meatballs in it. They were generous enough to do that. Place is clean and they have a variety of seasonings and sauces for your pho or other dishes. They also have shrimp paste to offer as well. Didn't take long for food to come out. Everything tastes good. The portion is worth the price $$ paid for. Lots of parking spaces since it's inside a big plaza. Great for one big family. If you come here in the evening you won't miss it even though the sign with the restaurant name is not lit. The window panes are framed with extremely bright and obnoxious neon blue lighting which could be kind of an eyesore on the outside. Thankfully, the lighting is pretty normal on the inside. I got the #3 pho (Pho Ha Noi dac biet) which comes with rare beef, brisket, and meatball (sadly, they were out of tripe) which is about $14.95. It's a bit more expensive than most pho restaurants in the area, though. After ordering, we were given complementary tea (3-4 sips) which was very tasty! Tasted like matcha and was slightly sweet - wanted to ask for more, tbh, lol. The pho came out in a pretty big bowl with lots of garnish (green onion & onion). Broth was on the darker side and wasn't super oily. Overall, I'd say it was on the sweeter side for both, but also was savory and tasty. I don't think it has a deep meat flavor - definitely more oniony which made it a bit sweet. I definitely enjoy the broth here and almost drank all of it, lol. The pho noodles here are great! I like that they're on the springier side, a bit chewy, and soaked up the flavor of the broth well. The best part is that the noodles weren't starchy or overly soggy after awhile. They also gave a good portion of meat and it was pretty good quality as well. Some did have a bit more fat than I would have liked, but overall, it's solid. I'd recommend anyone pho enthusiast reading this to give this restaurant a try! Even though it's a bit more pricy than other pho restaurants, I thought it was pretty delicious. Brand new pho restaurant in the Madison Place mall (same place as 168 Asian Market). Next to the Party City. Seems to be a cute family owned business, everything was very clean. Love the simple menu -- besides a few appetizers, mostly pho options with a selection of Vietnamese desserts (e.g. che). Good iced coffee with milk (ca phe sua da) too. The server recommended the house special beef pho (pho ha noi dac biet) and my wife and I both enjoyed it -- tasty broth and beef. The restaurant was doing good business but not full at around 1pm. Most of the guests seemed to be speaking in Vietnamese, probably in part because the restaurant is so new and folks in the local community are more likely to know about it. Overall an enjoyable pho experience, especially for Michigan, I would come back. read more

The pho restaurant here is my 2nd go to place in Madison heights. The broth is good and sometimes you get the right texture of the noodles. Also good portion for the condiments. Only thing I will say is that sometimes they forget the appetizers you order and don't bring out till you're done eating your soup, or they forget all together. This has happened 4/20 times so I guess I should just open my mouth and say something :/). They did recently open that wall to the party room which makes the restaurant look bigger so not as cramped as before. Over all, it's worth a visit and re-visit. read more

The food was pretty decent, I wish they had sugar cane drink! I would suggest play some music or turn the tv on, it was super quiet and awkward, but the food they gave a great portion but I would hope so for the price. They served us a small cup of tea, but we had to ask for water. The lady worker was very nice, I've seen her at Bambu. The silverware wasn't as clean. I also believe they have a private room for parties as well, parking is great! Chamango was good as well. The bowl they serve the food in kept out food at a good hot temp :) wish they were more attentive, and play music, check the utensils and make sure it's clean, also make sure you check your receipt; my sister was charged twice, but they apologized and refunded us. Another delicious pho spot in Madison Heights! We tried the sting rolls, two types of beef pho, the pork chop and rice meal, an avocado smoothie and an iced coffee. Pho is ok, the eggroll is good, the fresh roll is the same as any other place. Being that the menu is so small I was expecting good pho. We ordered the number one pho and they forgot our tripe. The brisket was good, but I think they skimped out on the meat. We got one cup of tea in the beginning and then just water bottles by the table that you can grab ( the small water bottle). Did not order anything from the drink menu so no review on the drinks. Opening a pho place and not bringing your A game will not beat the pho shops that's been around. When we went to pay, he was going to charge the whole bill on my card. That is when we had to tell him again that we had separate orders. He then had no idea who ordered what between the two of us. We had to tell him what we ordered in order to get our bill. First of all, I sympathize with immigrants who are not English proficient. I was once an immigrant myself. However, you cant run a FLIPPING business not knowing how to interact with people who PAY you!!! It was absolutely aggravating talking to the guy who didnt separate our checks. We ended up here after driving to both of our go to spots which are little saigon and que huong were closed. Decided to try this place out and I regret it. We ordered two pho dac biet, one pho tai bo vien, an order of cha gio, and goi cuon which came out to about $60. Pho barely had any meat and the waitress failed to tell me prior to ordering that they were out of bean sprouts. The broth was just ok. The cha gio were so skinny and weren't like traditional Vietnamese spring rolls. The goi cuon was ok and the sauce was good. I probably won't ever return. Quality is terrible for the price point. I don't think any other Vietnamese person or a person who has had good pho would like this place. read more

Was in the Sterling Heights area & Pho Tai was closed so went here instead as they were open till 10pm. Was initially nervous that their pho broth wouldn't meet my expectations/preferences since I was craving soup but it wasn't bad at all. Broth wasn't overly sweet and had a good herbal + beef flavor, ended up drinking all the broth. I was happy that there's a decent pho spot open till 10pm. 5 stars for service for sure!! They give out free hot tea and mini water bottles (ice mountain water) and they even gave us a couple mandarin oranges. The owners were eating at table next to us since it was just about closing time. They were extremely nice, kept asking if everything was okay. We were looking for quick late dinner (nearing 9PM) in the area and found this place. Right now I think their opening hour is no longer that late, but if I'm not wrong it used to be up until 10PM. When I walked in I thought it's already close but they actually welcome us and allow us to sit. The menu has english explanation of what's the content of each one. As the name, they appear to specialize in Pho although I went for Bun Bo Hue (rice noodle in spicy broth with vietnamese sausage, pork trotter, pork blood, flank steak). My friend went for Pho Tai Bo Vien (rare beef and meatball). I didn't try the pho but my friend said the broth tastes really good. My Bun Bo Hue is very good! It's warm and very mildly spicy. I can imagine it will be very good in cold weather. The meat are tender. Even though pork blood sounds daunting, it doesn't taste as scary. It's actually pretty good with a solid pudding-like texture. Pork trotter is good. Good price and the portion was huge! Definitely recommended, but I'm not sure if they're vegan/vegetarian friendly read more
