The beer selection was terrific. I got the pulled pork sandwich meal. The fries were too salty and the sandwich was the worst pulled pork that I've had in years. It was my first visit the food was very good however it was not a good experience because it was so hot inside. the bartender told me it was worse until they added the awning on the front. STOP AND READ THIS REVIEW. On my way through town to Oxford for a wedding and decided to stop by. GLAD I DID. First, I do tons of BBQ on the weekend and from N'awlins so I know how to cook and more importantly, eat. The ribs were cooked perfectly. They were not overcooked and more importantly, not over-smoked. Sometimes, BBQ joints smoke it so much it kills the flavor. Meat was kissed by the smoke. Paired with their "light colored" sauce, I was in heaven. I ordered the Pitmaster Sampler. Pulled pork, brisket and ribs. All cooked perfectly. I'm upset at myself because I ordered the pork rinds and I keep getting them mixed up with cracklins...They were OK. The side of Greens were unbelievable!!! Do your mouth a favor and get these. They weren't bitter and had a nice pairing of sweet and vinegar. The Brisket Nachos were also awesome! Place was clean, staff was super friendly and fast. The only DISGUSTING part of the whole experience was that I forgot to purchase the "light-colored" sauce to go. DARNIT!!! It was fabulous! Waaaaahhhhhh!!! Overall- super satisfied. read more

This is the top BBQ place in Jackson. Soo good. I have recently moved to Gulfport and really miss this place. They have great beer. Some on tap and bottle. My favorite thing is the fried bologna sandwich. But also the ribs are amazing. The food always seems to be fresh and the service is great. Also the wings are awesome. Lol. My girlfriend likes the nachos a lot. They don't have any hard liquor, but it's also not a hard liquor type of place. Would highly recommend. read more

Went to Pig & Pint for lunch during the week so no pints; however, the barbecue is really good. I had the brisket plate with collard greens and potato salad. The brisket was spot on and the collard greens were the best I've ever eaten. Potato salad was good too. The mustard based sauce was out of this world too. You have to try this place. read more

Been to most of the BBQ places in Jackson and I love to try a good BBQ when I go out. Sadly, this was not it. The meat was very dry and lacking flavor. The sauces only helped a little. It was busy the night we went so some people liked it I guess but I left underwhelmed. Service was ok and the sides sounded like they would be good but were just quirky. Fries were good. Ambiance is cool. We got the Que sampler and won't get that again. If someone wants to go there, I'd probably go back to try the ribs or a taco but it is off my radar of good places to eat in Jackson. read more

I'm highly disappointed. My husband I were very excited about eating here. Once we got here the atmosphere was fun, but the food was terrible!! I ordered a green tomato BLT and got bread, lettuce, bacon and literally two slices of cold, hard green tomatoes! I paid 8.99 for this crap! My husband ordered ribs and a Side of greens $14. There aren't many ways of ruining greens but these were definitely the worst and 90% of it was stems. The ribs were nothing special, weren't tender and falling of the bone. Very over rated for how expensive it is... Not coming back here again! read more

After being completely ignored by the bartender at Babalu, we decided to go around the corner to Pig & Pint. We walked in at 8:28, and they close at 9:00. At the front counter, we ordered a smoked chicken salad sandwich with a side of potato salad and a pulled pork barbecue plate with braised greens and fried green tomatoes. After finishing our transaction, we were handed an order number table tent to take with us. As my companion went to get a glass of water for each of us at the beverage station, I visited the bar to purchase a beer for each of us. The small bar offers barstool seating for four and a VERY impressive craft beer selection of not only bottled/canned beers but also draft beers. I chose a Southern Prohibition "Suzy B" and a Lazy Magnolia "Lazy Saison" and then made my way to our table after paying the extremely courteous bartender. The food, delicious. Hot, fresh fried green tomatoes are served with a house comeback dressing for dipping. Perfectly moist pulled pork on the same fork as their braised greens is all you really need in life. However, the cold craft beers were the perfect pairing with everything. The staff was nothing but completely courteous to us the 20 minutes we were their guests. The employees were extremely courteous, provided excellent service, and served some of the best BBQ I have had in awhile. They also have over 100 different beers. Just tried this new BBQ "joint". It has a great BBQ atmosphere with inside as well as outside seating. It's always a good sign when there is a shelf full of BBQ competition trophies, Memphis in May being the tops. I tried the Que sampler plate after a brief smoke room tour by comanager/chef Grant Hutcheson. I added a couple of baby back ribs to get the full compliment of Q, plus sides of slaw and collards. I am a certified KCBS competition judge and the pulled pork, brisket, chicken and ribs get top scoring! This is probably the best BBQ in the metro. There is no question that the ribs were the best restaurant-cooked I've ever eaten. The slaw was a little under-flavored, but the collards were incredible. I think I detected minced garlic and slap me if those weren't pieces of smoked pork belly I tasted! It is a little pricey for Que, but then it's all in the news about meat prices going up, so I guess that makes it more acceptable. Grant and comanager, Chris, have a good thing going here - give them a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

My servers Jeff and Clifton were top notch and were very at tentative to all of the needs of our large group. Great ambiance, staff all had great attitudes!
