The Pig and Pint is a relaxed environment where you order first then sit down (outside on picnic tables or inside) and have the food brought to you. I ordered the Boudin Burger with Potato Salad. Potato Salad was the best I ever had and the Boudin Burger was amazing; perfect level of spicy and packed with flavor. The brisket could have had more char as it was slightly bland and had to rely on the Mississippi sweet bbq sauce for additional flavor. The Mac and cheese was good as well. When in MS... eat BBQ. This may be the best BBQ I've ever had. I can't remember a better place, so I'm going with it.. Best BBQ I've had! With it so far away, I knew I only had one time to try this place so I wanted to sample as much as possible. I got the PitMaster sampler and it was a TON of food. Enough for 3. As soon as I opened the to-go container, I was hit with the smokey aroma. Ribs, chicken, and pulled pork. I see why the ribs are award winning. They have a nice thick coating of seasoning that created a crust and the meat literally fell off the bone. I'm not a huge rib lover, but these, are a must. The pork also had pieces of nice thick crust. Super smokey and juicy. This pork can stand on its own without sauce. For sides I got collards and slaw. I'd totally go for mac n cheese but they sadly, didn't offer it. The smoked tomato aspect of the slaw is unique so I went with the slaw. I wasn't sure if it would have mayo, for some reason I envisioned it not, but it does. The collards are oh so delicious. Greens are one of those things that aren't always great. They are often bitter, these are not! I devoured it. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. The decor is nice, the place is large and open. Nice selection of beer. I could see myself hanging out here if I lived in the area. Sadly, I do not. If you're in the Jackson area, you should go here! read more

Currently they are Short staffed but managing it quite well by opening up all outdoor dining with pets welcome and plenty of picnic table space in the sunshine! You can also opt for the covered small table dining if your alone or don't want to be part of the fun games taking place on the picnic side. What do I mean?! Well, the life size JENGA block tower now takes reign over what used to be an elevated fire pit(?) and it doesn't care how small or clumsy your fingers may be... these large foam like bricks aren't going to be a hassle for even the likes of a dirty and sticky bbq sauced hand.... I recommend the macaroni and cheese. A timely linger of mild jalapeño and ages white cheddar will equally melt in your mouth with a buttery noodle taste. Slow down and enjoy it!! Wash it down with some of their homemade Iced Tea! Not sure how they got a recipe that competes with McAlisters tea... but it does! I added the pimento cheese to the sandwich (something I haven't seen offered at other BBQ places) and it was a great addition. I wish the meat sampler wasn't $22 because I would have loved to try the brisket and chicken too. I found that to be on the pricy side (especially for lunch), but if it's worth it then awesome. I'm been traveling to Jackson on business on and off for several years. This week was my first trip to Pig & Pint. I will definitely be going back. Very laid back place. The food is great. Went with a large group and we sampled many items from the menu. All agree that the food we made the right choice. Really nice beer selection with local beers mixed in. I also loved the music mix. I asked they some of the employees if they knew where it was streamed (I assumed because of no commercials) from and none were sure. Some of the best bbq ever had. Bread pudding with white chocolate is worth saving room for. Btw, came back the next day and got some Brest pudding to go for snack later. Boudin balls for appetizer were excellent. Pulled pork awesome. Great staff, the guy waiting on us couldn't be more appreciative of us being there and making sure we didn't need anything else. We travel a good bit with horses and it is important to find good places to eat on the road. Next time in Jackson, we will be back. Stopped here in Jackson while driving across country. We had stopped for lunch at heirloom BBQ so expectations and standards for delicious BBQ food were very high and this place was outstanding!!! We got 3 tacos (brisket, pulled pork and chicken) and they were incredible! The mango salsa was insane and made a great appetizer for the meal to come. Brisket was the best of the three as expected. We also got the pork belly corn dogs, pretty delicious and but nothing too special For my meal I got the pitmaster sampler. At first when it came to my plate the ribs were a bit cold so I asked if they could reward them. They gave me a brand new super sized sampler! The ribs were the best baby back ribs I've ever had! Wonderful fall of the bone meat with wonderful bits of char spread throughout, the flavor was excellent in every single bite. Did not require sauce but was great with either variety. Absolutely fantastic! The pulled pork was also excellent, especially on eaten on top of the Texas toast provided. It tasted great on both BBQ sauces they have as well. (I'd recommend going back and forth between the two, drives the taste buds crazy with happiness. The brisket was actually the only disappointment in the meal. It was good but nothing special in the least. Some pieces were dry and I've definitely had better. Does not compare to the great brisket-smiths in Texas (Franklins or Pecan Lodge). I wanted to like this more than I did. As my meal went along I was more and more disappointed and not less. They made all the mistakes that an ala carte barbecue menu makes. Overthinking everything they do and not having any of it go very well with the rest. On top of this, the meats were poorly handled and executed. My wife and I shared a 3 meat platter and 2 sides. We tried the greens and the smokehouse beans. We didn't finish either. The greens were made by someone who doesn't like greens. You can add hot sauce and/or vinegar at the table but you can't take away the sugar they threw in them. We hated them and were disappointed. The beans were a similar kitchen sink of ideas. I didn't like the chili powder and Miriam didn't like anything about them. The ribs were the best of the plate for us. The chicken had good smoke but was dry. It was ok, it's chicken and doesn't lend itself to bbq as well as pork and beef. That said, it was starting to break down. The pork was really smokey and had that same tired bbq feel to it. I really liked the sauce on the ribs and the rub. They're really tasty but our portion was dry. I couldn't really even revel in that. Judging on their choices with the sides, I don't think they're really good chefs and don't know if I would come back and try more. It's a cool place and we really liked the people and service. Best Barbecue in Mississippi. Great beer selection. The ribs are like meat candy and the sandwiches (boudin burger or pork belly and brisket sandwich, you can't go wrong) are also amazing. Everything is smoked and slow cooked in-house every day, and you can tell because the quality is amazing. The folks at the bar will just let you try any beer before you get a full pint, which is amazingly generous. The taps are generally local beer selections, but the bottle selection has imports and craft beers from all over the country. The service is personal and excellent.
