Normally if I have an average or not amazing experience at a restaurant I would leave a normal tip(20%) and just not leave a review. This time was different. Our server was un interested, annoyed and frankly, rude. I asked if they had soda, because it wasn't stated on the menu, I was told they had lemonade and tea. Shortly after, I saw someone walk by with a soda. Asked for 2 coffees and was brought 1 and then ran off before I could remind her of the second. No accompanying cream or sugar, had to go over to the bar to ask. She didn't bring our kids drinks until after the food was brought out by another server. Didn't see her again and had to flag her down for the check. So no, we didn't tip. This restaurant prides itself (according to their website) on providing livable wages for their staff. A tip should be for normal/good service. Unfortunately that was severely lacking. She confronted my husband then. He then started to explain when she stopped him and said "you all suck, fuck you". The manager was extremely apologetic, and she was lucky I actually didn't hear the full exchange because it probably would have ended with her ass on the floor. So with that said, hopefully the owner and management wouldn't subject their paying customers to this person willingly.... Dine here at your own risk. Would like to add the difference between the kids breakfast and the chicken and waffles was 1 chicken thigh. Which was delicious, but $11 delicious?

Had a fantastic dinner at The Pig & The Sprout!! The bartender Kendrick was very friendly and accommodating. He made a fantastic margarita!! He also let me substitute grilled chicken on one of the sandwiches. It was soooo good! The fries were crispy, and the brisket poutine was amazing! I would definitely dine there again!

The Pig & Sprout is one of my go to vegan restaurants in Denver! What makes this place so great is that it has options for everyone! The menu is split right down the middle with delicious options for people without any dietary restrictions on one side, and options for vegan/vegetarian & more on the other! The atmosphere is inviting and it's a great place to hang out and meet up with friends in the evening. The service is awesome and every dish, no matter what you get, tastes delicious!! Definitely give this place a try!

I was in town for a concert and the Padres were playing their wild card game 3 so I came to the closest place shown as a sports bar on Yelp. Disappointed the sound wasn't on but the subtitles were so I could still follow the game Really friendly bartenders. Helped by Sam. She was so fun and personable that I sat at the bar again when I returned the following day. Progressive happy hour 3 - 4 pm $3 off drinks dollar less until 6 pm. Happy Hour - all small plate appetizers are 20% I ordered the Elderflower-Rita. It was a stronger than I expected. Really delicious. Very happy with the selection. Bacon Brussel sprouts could have been fantastic but I was left unimpressed as I could not taste any maple or bacon. It was as if both were forgotten. All I tasted were sunflower seeds and saltiness. The texture was nice and the brussel sprout were crispy. I gave up after eating about a third. The smoked brisket dip was amazing. Everything about it was memorable as I love caramelized onions and mushrooms. The aus jus was flavorful and hot while the brisket was cooked perfectly. The french fries were crispy with just a little seasoning on to add to the crunch. I loved it so much that I came back the following day and ordered the same entree. On the second day, I skipped the appetizer and got a dessert -- key lime cheesecake. The key lime is only on the top glaze, not within the entire cheesecake. It was nice, cold and rich. The size is not conducive for sharing unless the second person only wants a bite. I had no problem eating it by myself. Great eclectic mix of music. Very similar to Alt Nation on Sirius XM. Phantogram, The Neighbourhood, Cage the Elephant, Walk the Moon, Portugal the Man, Twenty One Pilots and Foster The People. If this place was in San Diego, I would most definitely be a regular. Highly recommend!

Solid dinner spot for our first night in Denver! And the menu does this fun thing where the left side is meaty, and the right side is vegan/vegetarian and pescatarian. Items marked VG are vegan! We ordered the following: - Vegan Brussels Sprouts https://bit.ly/4lYf2Dv - Crispy Artichokes https://bit.ly/4meIJ3r - Truffled Gnocchi http://bit.ly/4meIENb The Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly al dente and I thought the carrot "bacon" bits were innovative. The portion size for the artichokes was minimal, but this dish had the tastiest green goddess sauce. Yum! The gnocchi flavor was smoky indeed. I couldn't really taste truffle, but I liked the generous amount of mushrooms and the crispy-fried sage garnish. I enjoyed the PPMS Marg made with jalapeno-infused tequila, passion fruit, mint, orange, lemon, lime, and Tajin on the rim. Loved the spicy kick! https://bit.ly/3JGKoRA The atmosphere is modern and down-to-earth. The staff is friendly. Service is great. Loved our dinner!

This is a really convenient and nice spot right by Coors Field. We came in a large group and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Do note most tables have high chairs, they also have some booths. Their menu was extensive; it had lots of vegetarian options, which was helpful. We ordered a variety of entrees and everything was good. The Baja fish tacos were great, came in three, the fish tasted fresh and loved the sauce on top. BBQ mac n cheese was excellent; huge portion and super creamy. The veggie stir fry was a surprising hit, loved the ample amount of vegetables, though it was on the saltier side. The brisket poutine was a great appetizer, super flavorful, devoured immediately. Overall a great meal with great service. We recommend this spot!

Super cute spot close to Coors Field and other downtown attractions. Nice high ceilings, open space, and a cute patio with an indoor/outdoor bar. Weekends feature a special brunch menu with both breakfast and lunch options. I absolutely loved the menu setup with a split of meat dishes and vegetarian dishes on separate halves of the menu. Easy to mix and match from both sides! They were also VERY good about my friends gluten allergy -- not only super knowledgeable about the menu (which was also clearly marked with dietary restrictions) but also about what swaps they could do to make a dish amazing and still GF! Staff was absolutely amazing and really took care of us! Highly recommend!!

The food here is honestly very good. This is my second time eating here and I am always impressed. The cheeseburger with a gluten free bun is exactly what I look for in a burger. Love that their gluten free bun is so tasty, soft and not grainy at all. The service is always top tier. Everyone that works there is friendly. The style and layout of the place is great for anytime of day. Love that they have an indoor outdoor bar too.

Great food, 5.0/5.0 stars. Mr. Anthony Bourdain knew what he was talking about when he recommended this restaurant before he passed. I highly recommend The Tony, named after him, or if you're going for lunch, the Drive-Thru Burger. The staff is great, friendly and helpful. Vegan options are plentiful. This is probably the best "casual" restaurant in the Midwest. Eating outside on their patio is always an option too!

Love the food and drink menu. Asked my waitress what she likes on the menu. She said in her opinion the burgers are the best in Denver. I'm not normally a burger eater but took her suggestion and so happy I did. Too much food but it was excellent. Can't go wrong with the fried artichokes. I almost ordered a 2nd order they are that good. Outside area is pet friendly. She brought some water for my dogs. I always go here every time I am in Denver

We stopped by The Pig & The Sprout before heading to a baseball game and had a tasty meal here! We started off with the Brussels Sprouts and it came perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There was also a very generous portion of bacon on top. I got the mushroom tacos and added pork belly and my husband got the Bourdain sandwich. I enjoyed my taco however, I thought the mushrooms would be a shiitake or oyster mushroom type or round/flatter type. They seemed to be a baby Bella type, which I don't mind, however, these made it a little difficult to eat the whole taco. I took a bite of the taco and then a bunch of the mushrooms rolled down the front of my shirt and splattered my pants. The Bourdain sandwich - a tasty pork and cheese sandwich. Yum. Overall, the meal was decent here and we would return if we were in the area. One thing to note - there was a giant hole in the last restroom above the sink that was a bit scary looking.

We found this restaurant on the Bring Fido app and would highly recommend as a dog friendly restaurant! We sat on the heated patio with our pups as we enjoyed our meal. I love that the menu is literally half meat half veg/vegan and had so many delicious options for any dietary preferences. Highly recommend the vegan crispy brussels sprouts!!

Came here because it was pet friendly and we were driving through town visiting family. They sat us on the patio with our dog and the waitress also brought us a bowl of water for him. For a weekend the service was quick given it was busy inside. I had the brisket eggs benedict and my partner had the hot wings for brunch. The food was a good amount no left overs for us which was fine since we were driving long distance. Prices are a bit on the high side given it is located downtown. We also had to pay to park at a near by garage which was expensive. I wish they did some parking validation or coupon since there are not many options for street parking in the area. Overall we would visit again to try other items from the menu or happy hour if timing was right when we visit town again.

Bedlam was recommended to us for late night drinks by staff working in one of the restaurants at our hotel. During our short stay in Denver, we went to Bedlam twice. The first time was around 11:30 on a Thursday night. We had a few cocktails along with a cheese and charcuterie plate. The second time was around 12:30 on a Saturday night when we came in for a night cap. The first time we came in, it wasn't too busy, and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. The bar was full so we chose a small table. Our server gave us menus, though specials were written on a chalkboard above the bar. We each tired a couple of cocktails and had a shot called the Master Shot. We also chose the make-your-own charcuterie board. Our favorite drink was the Woo Girl, which allowed us to choose our spirit of choice. I chose gin and my friend chose tequila. When we returned a couple of nights later, we knew already we were going to order the Woo Girl cocktail. It was packed on a Saturday night, but there was a small table in back where they seated us. This bar is more for spending time with the friends you come with, rather than mingling, as staff seats you at a table. It doesn't seem like they offer standing room or just squeezing in, though maybe we just didn't experience that. That said, all in all, I really enjoyed Bedlam and recommend it to anyone going to Denver.

That's when I came across Dearly Departed and I'm so glad I did. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

Cozy spot for some classy bites and cocktails. I think I probably got off on the wrong foot when I asked for sparkling water instead of flat and found out it was $7 per personal mini bottle (and they don't have club soda). My first time encountering that in Denver in the last 14 years... The cocktail concept is cool: pick a classic, slightly updated, or super creative version from 5 categories (martini, old fashioned, sour, spritz, highball). The spicy mango sour (with mezcal) was awesome -- although I expected egg white on a sour. The martinis were ok... a bit of a let-down in today's collection of Denver martinis at other local spots (think anchovy, sour cream and onion, holy trinity, and old bay). The food was also hit or miss. We loved the cauliflower/potato Bravas with the slightly spicy sauce, as well as the croquettes and their sauce. The tuna crudo was super bland, which is disappointing for $19.
