    Pretty good

The food was good and the portions were as much as I expected. Didn't take too long to come out and the staff was nice. The potato salad was tasty, the sandwich had some meat that depended entirely on the bbq sauce so next time I'll stop for more sauce. The venue is inside of a market center so it's pretty congested. Will come back and try more

    Meal for 2

This restaurant is located in the public market at Liberty station. I walked around a bit and settle on bbq. I don't usually pass up brisket when I see it on a menu. You order at the counter and take a buzzer. The employee was quite nice. We decided on the meal for 2 that was on the side board. I love brisket but it also let us try their pulled pork and chicken. It came with two sides as well. I also like to try bbq place's Mac and cheese, and my mom wanted fries. The highlight of our order was the Mac and cheese. It had sharper cheese and had a good amount of creamy sauce. Runner up was the pulled pork. Everything else wasn't very good. The brisket was very tough and not seasoned well, the chicken was mealy, and the fries were nicely cooked but little to no salt. I like that everyone can get what they want and meet up to eat and drink together. There's an outdoor fenced in area out front, that's causal enough kids can run around a bit.

10-Hour Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich (2 person shareable special)

Affordable bbq and delicious bbq in San Diego? Yes please! My bf and I were shook by the prices at this place, in a good way. Bbq places can get so expensive, the prices here were great and had incredible specials. The pulled pork sandwiches we got were 2 for $20! And they don't skimp out on the pork. It was delicious, melt in your mouth, with a tangy bbq sauce that balanced the pork well. Will definitely be trying their other cuts, they have an incredible $30 2-person family dinner special that seems too good to be true.

My wife and I love this place. This is our go-to spot whenever we come to Liberty Station. The bbq is phenomenal. We always get their pulled pork, but it sells our fast! So sometimes we get here late, and it's gone. We loved their pulled pork nachos.. but they no longer have it.. sad day.. so instead, we tried their family of 2 meal deal. It came with 6oz or chicken, brisket, and pulled pork (no pulled pork, so we got more chicken and brisket). 2 sides, tortillas and pickled onion, and jalapeños. All for about $32. We were definitely satisfied and had more to take home! The bbq sauce is super tasty, a little tangy, and a little sweet. It works very well with the meat. We also got fries and baked beans for the side. Fries came piping hot, and the beans were great. They were a little spicy and had a little bit of jalapeños in it. We love this place and will definitely come back and get this going forward.

Two (2) Meat Combo Plate (brisket and chicken)

This place was one of the most below mediocre spot in Liberty Market, and I came hungry. Service was prompt however. There were only a few customers on a busy day. You buy your food to-go and bring it to one of the many tables around the market. I ordered the two meat combo (brisket and chicken). For being smoked so long, both meats were incredibly dry and were barely helped by the barbecue sauce spread on top. The Mac and cheese and potato salad were nothing special either. I would be ashamed to recommend this spot to any of my friends coming into town. Would definitely not recommend this place. There are many more options out there more deserving of your appetite.

Decided to give this spot a try from many other options available. I got the brisket sandwich, the service was fast and the gentlemen that took my order was professional. The sandwich bread was ok, the brisket was tender and you could tell it was cooked thoroughly. I wish the flavor was a little bit better, I would rate this a 7 out of 10. There are other items on the menu but I think overall this place was ok.

I love the Liberty Station Public Market and all the dining options. Someone recommended this BBQ place so we tried it out. I liked my brisket taco. My mac n cheese was just okay. My friend thought the brisket was a bit fatty, liked the sausage and the beans just okay. The potato salad was very good. I think the refillable sodas were less than $2 (Coke products). Prices (other than the soda) were not cheap but were in line with BBQ prices. Service was friendly and efficient.

    (2) Meat Combo Plate

Their menu is not complicated. We got the combo plate with the choice of brisket and sausage. My spouse and I shared, good for 2 people. Food- brisket is tender and juicy, on the salty side. BBQ flavor is not bad. Sausage I think is the highlight better than the brisket. Beans is also good. Potato salad is my least favorite, if there's a splash of vinegar in it ( it was a little too much) it became rancid. Price is high. If you want to give them a try I recommend you share with someone.

I liked some of the meats here, but others meats just weren't for me. We got a little bit of certain cuts of meat.. St. Louis cut ribs, tri-tip- brisket, and chorizo link, jalapeños cheddar link and their central Texas hot link. Mac and cheese and potato salad and coleslaw. My husband and I really enjoyed the brisket the sausage links, the potato salad and coleslaw. The tri-tip unfortunately was kinda dry and the ribs were a little tough. And the Mac and cheese were super garlicky. This bbq place is ok, it's nice and big and has a nice relaxing atmosphere. But I would stick to the brisket and hot links and the sides.

The food also varies. My husband loves the tri-tip sandwich, but they often run out of tri-tip, and it can be delicious or dry and tough. I gave up on tri-tip because of the lack of consistency. I really like the brisket burrito. It's even better than the meat plates. And the brisket in general is really good. The sides are pretty good but none of us are crazy about the fries. They also have a kids menu which is nice. And if you save room for dessert, as simple as it is, the hot fudge sundae is a favorite. Over all I would recommend this place.
