Waitress was very rude and seemed to be in a rush. Hit her head on flower pot, said an expletive.

I do not believe the upstairs to be handicap accessible. The inside looks pretty much the same as the last 2 iterations that were here. The wall decor has changed with the theming but overall the same We found the food to be adequate. I had chicken parm and it was the least cheesy chicken parm I ever had. Literally sauce on top of chicken with a small sprinkle of shredded moz and a shake of parm cheese. The smaller piece of chicken was literally cheese free. The marinara sauce seemed to be the real issue. It was broken. With the thinner watery parts separating from thicker portions. The thicker parts end up like tasting like tomato paste. I did not enjoy the broken marinara sauce. Overall staff was pleasant with fine service. We did hear another table who asked for a bar menu get told the restaurant "does not have a bar menu but your server is very knowledgeable" Overall, just OK. Ok atmosphere, Ok food, Ok presentation. Just OK.

The food is really good at this little restaurant. Elle & Jack's leans toward Italian cuisine, but it gets a little funky with it by offering things like chimichurri salmon, a burger and steak frites. The menu is small, though, which is a relief. A pared down menu is my favorite kind of menu. Give me a small list of the things you make well, and I'll be happy. We got the arancini as an appetizer, of course. My kids had never had arancini before, and they loved them. But it's hard not to love a fried ball of rice covered in red sauce! I got the steak Caesar, because I do love a good Caesar salad. At this point in my life, I'm pretty much obligated to order the Caesar if it's on a menu. The girl can't help it. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium well), and the only thing I would change would be to make the croutons smaller. We also got a side of charred Brussel sprouts with bacon and dates. These were good but needed to be a little more charred! In my opinion, Brussels sprouts taste best when they're scorched. A side order is huge and meant to be shared. It could have easily been shared with three or four people. Elle & Jack's does not have an official kids' menu printed on a paper, but they have an unofficial kids' menu, which apparently lives in each server's head and can only be shared verbally. It's like five or six items. From what I remember -- because our server's words floated away from me like dandelion seeds in the wind as soon as he spoke them -- kids can choose from pasta with red sauce, buttered noodles, a grilled cheese and a cheeseburger. One of my kids got pasta with red sauce, and it was a perfect portion size for a child. My child liked it but said that the noodles were too chewy (they were probably cooked al dente). My other kid got a grilled cheese, and he liked it just fine. The kids' grilled cheese comes with fries. The scene here is slightly upscale but casual. I saw people who were dressed up and people who were not dressed up. I think it's definitely a come-as-you-are joint, but a place to visit when you want something a little more elevated.

The Three Cheese Grilled Cheese had an insane cheese pull and was loaded with melty, delicious cheese. The tater tots were surprisingly flavorful, seasoned with a unique blend that definitely had onion and a hint of garlic, along with other spices I couldn't quite identify--but they were fantastic! The Mouthful definitely lives up to its name. It's huge, incredibly filling, and absolutely worth ordering if you're hungry. To top it all off, we tried the crème brûlée for the first time ever, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. It was delicious and made for an awesome first experience with the dessert. Overall, South Street Grill exceeded all expectations. It does get busy, which isn't surprising considering how good the food is, but it's easy to get to and well worth the wait. A MUST-TRY if you're in the area! We'll definitely be back!

It's a nice atmosphere and I noticed they have various events outside during the summer that look fun. I'll definitely be back!
