This is our second time staying in a chalet at the Pines. It was a perfectly fine experience. The cabins are rustic, and a bit dated, but they have a fully stocked kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, pots and pans and toaster. The view from our cabin was nice, and it has a great deck in the back to sit on. The chalet is basically divided in half and you are next to another person. You are quite close and it does sound like they are in your room while they speak. The floors are also very creaky and loud when you are upstairs. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay.

My friend and his gf gone here every year and he advised me to check it out sometime if I ever visit Yosemite. I booked the chalet room online and even got a good promo discount. I checked in a couple of days before for our stay. When we arrived the staff knew my name and checked us in very quickly. The cabin was so nice and spacious. At the entrance - full kitchen with everything you need (plates, utensils, bowls, microwave, fridge, etc). Couch and tv to relax. A back patio where you can bbq and picnic tables. Upstairs - A small loft where you can climb a ladder. A perfect spot for guest to sleep with an airbed. Downstairs (stairs pretty steep so be careful) - bathroom, shower, and master bedroom. I thought it was helpful that the alarm clock has usb added which made it easier to charge phones. Using the shower head can be tricky where you must pulled the tip of the faucet to access. The resort also did provided directions, but can be confusing to some. The resort has many restaurants (bar, Mexican food, ice cream, snacks, etc.) to enjoy from walking distance. Also take a nice walk and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake.

    Lox and bagel

We arrived for breakfast and I was on the fence between the avocado toast and lox and bagel. I chose the lox. I was disappointed unfortunately. The salmon slices were too thick. I can appreciate how much was provided, but they need to be much much thinner slices. I didn't care for the flavor. My son tried it and said it was a smoked applewood. I removed the salmon off my bagel and ate only the cream cheese and tried to top it off with the capers. I would do some training on preparing this plate. Would not recommend at all. I probably should've gone for French toast, can't really go wrong with that. My suggestion is to research how to make this selection more appetizing. I left most the salmon on the plate and made it not worth the price. I wish I could've gave a better review on it because I was looking forward to it. My son had the chicken and waffles and his plate looked good, despite not eating meat myself. He said he really liked it, and finished most of it. I would return to try another dish, but can't recommend the lox and bagel as is, needs improvement. I also ordered an espresso, but honestly it didn't taste any different than a smaller cup of regular coffee. I was expecting a jolt of caffeine, sadly disappointed. . I needed to go to the store and buy a Starbucks bottle of single coffee to make up for the "espresso" drink. The views were pretty from where we were sitting and would love to return to try another dish and maybe a latte that feels caffeinated. I would love to give this place a second chance, considering the views. But the views alone don't supplement for the quality of the food that was missing in my dish.

Simple maintenance and upkeep of the chalets has been disappointing to say the least time after time. I have been coming here for years and as of the last couple of years, my experiences have been filled with disgust due to the lack of cleanliness of the chalets.

We saw these photos on the 1 King bed Chalet and were sold! My husband and I expected to have the cabin to ourselves based on these photos, but we were a bit surprised to see upon arrival that it's the cabin pictured only essentially cut in half. This didn't matter much to us until our neighbors showed up and we could hear every word they said through our shared wall, which was rough with a toddler and partying unexpected neighbors next door! The cabin is very lightly stocked, and lightly cleaned as well-mostly the floors being unswept dirtying our socks within the first few hours of being there. We did however thoroughly enjoy the outdoor amenities! Our toddler had so much fun at the playground, and plenty of fun to be had with ice skating/games at the activity center. We did go to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and the food/staff was great-as well as a friendly front desk staff! We will consider going again after having a clear idea of the cabins, and will most likely share the whole cabin with friends/family to avoid noisy neighbors.

We booked a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom chalet and overall it was a good experience. When we first got here, the front desk lady warned us about bears being active at night right now. We were concerned a bit but didn't think we would encounter any. She gave us a map to our chalet but the map was a bit hard to read so we struggled to find our chalet a (plus we arrived at night). Our chalet was close to trash can and after we unloaded our stuff, we already saw one bear! So be careful when you stay here to not leave any food inside your car and also keep distance from them. The rooms are decent. When we walked in, it's upstairs bedroom. There are bedroom and bathroom with a balcony. Then there's stairs on the side leading to downstairs bedroom and bathroom but no balcony. There's one fridge and one microwave upstairs in the chalet. I wish there was an actual desk so I could eat my breakfast on. The rooms are cute but not the cleanest. We saw one towel with a dirt spot. If you are on the bedroom downstairs, you can pretty much hear people upstairs walk or get up on the bed. We could also hear weird noises when someone upstairs flush toilet for a bit. Not sure what caused that but the noise kept going on for a bit even after the flush was completed. There's a market and restaurant onsite. Market doesn't have a lot of options for food to pack to eat inside Yosemite. I am not a big fan of the staff at the market. I went there a couple times already and each time I met different staff and their attitudes weren't very nice at all when I asked questions. I suggest training them more on customer service. Front desk and other hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. Two front desk ladies helped us with planning for Yosemite (because there was no service so we couldn't use our gps, and we had trouble finding a way there). And other hotel staff helped us with the bear situation because we were concerned. So all the hotel staff are super nice and friendly. If you could train the market staff to have a service mind like your hotel staff, it would make guests' experience much much better! We did not spend much time at the lake near the hotel because we spent most of our time inside Yosemite. Next time I would like to come here (ideally during summer) and spend more time at the lake!

My husband and I have stayed in the lake suites and in the past in the chalets. Every trip has been amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food and ambiance is incredible. We love eating at the bar upstairs every visit. The food and view are incredible, 5 star. Everything you need for a vacation is here. It's an awesome resort. Now that my husband has become disabled we stay at the hotel in the suites. This has by far been the best vacation experience for us. Please stay here. You will enjoy it.

The good: It is right in the lake. The restaurant food is good (although a little pricey. Staff are friendly. The bad: The rooms are very outdated and worn out. In the room we stayed in, the tile was cracked in several places the walls were dingy and chipped. The faucet at the wet bar was wobbly and had to be turned on with two hands. The Jacuzzi tub had seen better days. We were there in 2020 and it was really nice. It seems to have gone downhill since then.

The one thing I loved about this resort is the convenience. They have their own store, coffee shop, pizza, restaurant, boat ramp, and you could rent boats and all kinds of other water toys. The front desk staff was very friendly checking in and out. We reserved a Chalet with lake view. Trying to get to the chalet was difficult. The road is very narrow and parking was tight, especially with a large truck. The Chalets are old and a little run down. It is 2 stories with a full kitchen. As soon as you walk in the kitchen on the right, and a living room with a sofa bed and a tv on the wall. Which did not work. Down stairs are 2 queen beds, a tv and one bathroom. Downstairs was not very big. There was also a door to exit out downstairs. We were surprised when we opened our door and there was 2 bags of trash and linens left behind by housekeeping. By morning, critters got the trash bags and there was trash everywhere The beds were pretty comfy. I asked for pillows for the sofa bed and they were never delivered. On the property they have a decent size pool. I was definitely disappointed in the "beach" size. It was right next to the dock. Not very much room for people to enjoy their day on the beach. Note: there were a lot of people trying to launch their boats. If you are going to launch, bring lots of patience's.

How big are the water heaters in the Chalets? Is it enough to accommodate a group of 4 adults taking showers one after the other, or would we have to wait for the water to heat up in between? Sorry if this seems a silly question!

Yes, there was hot water for more than four taking showers one after another, also, the water pressure was great. Beautiful place, highly recommended

Are there Tesla charging or other charging stations available? If so, where are they located?

    Yes

Do they really sell MAGA hats in their gift shop?

For starters, that's not their shop. Secondly, aren't people who consider themselves"liberal" supposed to be accepting of people's differences up to and including their likes and opinions? Pretty hypocritical don't you think? Also ma'am, what…

We are bringing our dog. Is the beach in front of Resort big enough to hang out with our dog?

Yes, there is a beach area that you can bring your dog to swim in as well as most parts of the resort are dog friendly besides the restaurants and the pool area.

How is it bringing a dog there? I know they are not allowed by pool area but is there enough beach there to hang out with dog?

Seen many dogs, but beach at resort is extremely small..... the pool is bigger than the beach area to give an example.....

We had our annual camping trip at one of the local campsites near Miller's Landing resort. One of our days we decided to use our 15% off coupon from our campsite to Rent a 9 persons pontoon boat. The folks working at the counter for the boat rental were friendly and helpful. I wish I could say the same thing for the dude's working at the actual boat dock. They gave us weird vibes. Like, have y'all never seen Asians renting a boat? WTF are you guys glaring at? WTF is so funny? It was irritating AF! Thankfully, the time on the water was really fun! The kids had such a good time zipping around on the water and we also rented a tube that we towed off the back of the pontoon boat. Yes, it's not a speed boat, but it was fast enough for the kids to enjoy being towed around. The next day we went back to Miller's Landing to use their public showers. Five dollars for five minutes. Make it quick! The shower's were clean, water was warm, or cold if you prefer, but the line can get long. There is no complimentary shampoo, soap, or conditioner, so be sure to BYO. It was a good option for those of us who were tent camping that NEEDED a shower. Although we didn't dine in the restaurant, we did get drinks, ice cream, and milkshake's from the café, all of which were really tasty. We will definitely plan to incorporate a boat rental, showers, and meals at Miller's Landing when we plan our annual camping trip for next year!

After renting homes for the last 3 years and dealing with the charming Carole Severe , I am sorry…read moreto say we had the worst experience this year . I should have known from the day we arrived , July 3rd , as the house was so dirty , I actually thought about taking pics even though all we wanted was to enjoy our week and celebrate 4 th of July . Everything was sticky inside the kitchen , the dustpan was still full inside the pantry cabinet , missing cabinet knob , wobbly pan handle, dirty pots and not even a small one , no oven glove ,the Bbq grill was black and hadn't been cleaned for a very long time etc etc ...the list is too long and it felt very unwelcoming, even the table sets were full of food stains. I went to bed exhausted that first day after cleaning all afternoon, trying to get the kitchen cabinets ready for all the foods and condiments we brought , as I laid on the bed I jumped : a big black bug was there welcoming us on the pillow ,thank God it was just a beetle ... It was impossible to get in touch with the agency , even email were not responded , because they changed one of their nr , and I was calling the old nr from my phone contacts ,the ownership has changed as I learned later. In any case it's pretty hard to contact this place, the voice mail is always full. I did talk to Carol who call me back and try to send someone after 3 days of trying ,but then at the real estate office which I visited they assured me she wasn't involved anymore and not really able to deal with anything but how come she was the only one to call me back send someone? The place was so charming but nothing worked : the washing machine , which we didn't use the first 2 days, the clock ( dead battery) the water filter from the refrigerator,( the electric outlet, to charge the phones , the tv cable , the image was distorted, the hose ( pierced)to clean the ponton ,covered with duck poop, Every body knows about the bears , so we all have at least if not better, extensions cords to secure the trash , Well not there. Carole did sent a boy the 3 rd day to clean the trash all over the place and to bring some extension cords , but she couldn't find anybody else to come fix all the issues , of course it's the week of 4th of July , no one is available... On the 3 rd day also , our nanny found a needle from a syringe in the kids bedroom between the bed and mattress, That shows also how well the house was cleaned . Another surprise waited for us in the morning ,with the downstairs shower curtains all black from the mold so nobody wanted to use this shower ... I can't even itemize the pots and pans state , the missing items for cooking it would take too long I know one thing , instead of giving us the key : they were to busy to welcome us at the house , I should have insisted to have them there on the premise to check and see themselves how unprepared this house was. But the saddest story here, is that they never apologized , instead they put the blame on us for not coming to their office . We have been renting homes all over the world , and in USA , beeing a cosmopolitan family and I have never seen that kind of behavior and management before , this is not a reliable or professional business. I ask and call a douzaine times to speak with the manager , but they told me he is too busy flying his plane. Well May be he should change business then .

Anyone on the road can see into the window so we just left the blinds closed. No road noise to speak of. There is only 1 shower/tub and it's upstairs, so not technically a 2 bath as stated. With 4 people,  it's a bit inconvenient. Photos show all the room appointments, it was perfect for us. Both bedrooms were upstairs with the full bath.  The lake: Very short 5 min walk to the lake. We easily rolled our kayaks over every morning.  Lake gets very busy, but the water is incredibly clear. We spent hours exploring the shoreline and wetlands. Angel Falls trailhead is also in walking distance from the resort, although there are a few places along the road where there is no shoulder, so its not for the faint of heart. Yosemite Access: Wawona entrance is only 30 min from the lake but it's another hour to get to the main attractions in the park (bridal veil falls etc.) We were here during the Wahburn and Oak fires so we had to use the entrance gate waaaay over on the other side of Mariposa. After 1.5 hours of driving, we then had a 2 hour wait to get in the park. I don't recommend it. I cannot recommend this place enough. Staff was friendly and helpful. From the pool to the lake, there are tons of things to do and explore,  enough to keep all ages busy.

My friends and I wanted to get away for a weekend to celebrate December birthdays and the holidays…read moreand found the Manzanita Cabin on Airbnb! It was perfect because we could only stay overnight and this was the only place we could find that was flexible. Fairly close to Yosemite in case you wanted to visit and VERY close to Bass Lake! Randy, our host, communicated with me right as I booked the cabin and was always easy to get a hold of. When we arrived, he gave us a thorough tour of the cabin and instructions on how to use everything. Manzanita Cabin is absolutely thee most charming cabin I've ever stayed in!! We were a party of 12 and fit comfortable in this spacious place. The huge wood table fit us all comfortably for meals and we had a great time playing games/sitting around the wood burning fireplace in the living room as well. The kitchen was very spacious and had everything we needed in regards to pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. The rooms were comfy and had furnaces in case we wanted a little extra warmth. There were three bathrooms all beautifully renovated! Downstairs there's even a small game room for kids and a huge garage with a washer and dryer if needed. Though a little chilly, we spent some time on the porches that wrapped around the whole house. This cozy cabin definitely stole our hearts and we cannot wait to return!! Randy has a Facebook page that you can contact him directly!
