These guys are just a flashy racing arena short of a true pit crew experience! I didn't even know what hit me! Let's make sure to hit all these points: they're friendly, they're fast, and they're economical. I walked in and was promptly greeted by John, the owner. He's owned the place since 1987, when the only other thing on Nacogdoches was his place and the Dutchboy Cleaners across the street. Oh and Church's Chicken moved in not too long after. Yeah. That's a long time ago. I had called to see how long I'd be likely to wait and he said he had both bays already occupied, but that I shouldn't have to wait more than 10 minutes or so if I got there right that second. Yeah. He lied. I didn't have to wait at all because he has three bays, and he saved one for me. WHEN DOES THAT KIND OF THING EVER HAPPEN ANYMORE?! While I waited for the car's oil to be changed I watched about 5 minutes of Jeopardy on the tiny little TV they have sitting in the lobby. I was offered a homemade chocolate chip cookie by another gentleman behind the counter (I had just eaten, so no thanks, maybe next time). I don't know what's gotten into these guys but I wish it would infect all of the city! I didn't even get a chance to sit down before a technician walked in and said "the car in bay 3 is done." WOW! Time to pay already. Here's some "tech specs" for those of you interested in pricing: 3.3 L engine, oil, filter, and fluid check/refill cost just over $32. That's awesome. And it's name-brand oil, so you're good to go! It was a friend's car, so it was regular oil. Since being in real estate puts so many miles on my car I've used synthetic for years. I'll have to take my car in for a repeat performance. Again, I have to give credit where credit is due: my Community Manager (Krys T.) definitely knows what she's talking about. Thanks Krys! I have been a customer here for many years, and my grandparents many years before me. They always take great care of us. I mostly come for oil changes because I appreciate the great job they do and the fact that they never try to up-sell me on anything. And anytime I have maintenance issues with my car, they always look at it, give me an opinion and help me get it fixed. I've had numerous oil changes performed at this location over the past several years. However, my last few visits have been less than stellar (used wrong oil) and my most recent visit was downright negligent. I stopped in for a routine oil change and everything seemed to go smoothly until I popped the hood a few days later. First I was greeted by a large oily handprint on the engine cover, which I was removing to install new spark plugs. Unfortunately the oily handprint was the least of my worries. There was roughly half a cup of "fresh" oil standing on top of my engine block between the baffles around the spark plugs. Not only is this sloppy, but it is also potentially harmful to my engine and dangerous (fire hazard anyone?). I spent at over an hour trying to clean this mess (degreasing the top of the block and cleaning out spark plugs). I talked to the owner regarding this and to his credit he offered me a reduced service fee for my next visit. However, I will not be returning. I typically like to support local businesses but there are some obvious training issues that need to be addressed. read more

Posting on this on behalf of a family members experience here and to express my DISSATISFACTION. Pit pros USED to be an honest easy one stop shop. However after my family member took their vehicle here for a routine oil change - a day later , oil was noted in the driveway of their home. They returned to the shop and inquired about the mess and cause for concern. My family members vehicle was take ON TO the lift and inspected by a "Mechanic" said it was just "over flow" From then adding to much oil. 2 days later while my FM was driving down 410 at 65 MPH - the motor sneezed in a snap. After calling a tow truck to retrieve the vehicle from the SIDE of 410. It was found that the oil plug was not properly replaced after the oil change , the motor drained of oil and the motor seized. Pit pros refuses to take ANY responsibility. I'm making it a point to share this story until they make it right and pay for their mistake! read more

Ive known the owners for years, great family of folks. They actually employed a lot of us growing up! The service is great, short wait time usually. Patrick is an asshole to the point where even one of his employees said so.. the wait times are ridiculous for a shop having 5+ employees.. they only have 1 bay open at all times.. don't bother going here and don't waste your money on this place. This is a family owned and operated business and the owner son Chris is usually supervising. There's a reason I always come back. The service is always fast, reliable, and the price is always reasonable. Between my cars, my wife and my mother's cars I had nearly a hundred oil changes here and never had a bad experience. They have never tried to threaten to fail my car, and then offer to do the 'needed' work like another shop I went to did. I don't like to write reviews typically, but I believe people should be informed. Especially, consumers paying for a service. I normally do my own oil changes, but being new to the area in an apartment complex that does not allow oil changes to be performed in the parking lot, I had to find some place that does it for me. I found this place and thought I'd give it a shot. I was able to watch the entirety of the service, which was done very quickly. They filled my washer fluid, which was nice. They changed the oil filter and began to put oil into my jeep. I stopped the guy promptly from putting the bulk oil in my jeep because I wanted the synthetic. He obliged and then put a 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 synthetic oil in. He checked the oil level with the dip stick and it had an adequate amount of oil in. They charged me for 6 quarts of oil though. At this particular place a quart of synthetic oil was right at $10. I think it was just poor communication between the people doing the oil change and the people charging me for the oil change. The jeep manual calls for 6 quarts at full capacity. Is 5 enough for dip stick measurements....yes. The reason I'm bothered by it is because lots of ladies probably get their oil changed here and don't know any better. I likely could have sent my girlfriend here and we would be out of some money paying for extra oil we didn't get. I offered just to take a quart of oil with me since I paid for it. I was then given the wrong oil. They then tried to credit me back on my credit card, which didn't quite work out either. I walked out with $10 cash instead. read more
