12/13/2024 I want to thank Fred, Chris, Jason and Felipe for taking my 2015 Ram 1500 Diesel back into their shop and making things right. They went above and beyond on keeping their customer happy. My truck was leaking oil from a defective O-ring, and Texas Elite Auto and Diesel made the repair, washed, filled my truck up with some diesel, also provided some outstanding customer service by dropping off my truck to my residence. I would definitley take my vehicles back to Texas Elite Auto and Diesel. I highly recommend that you bring your vehicles to get repaired here. They made me a very happy customer. read more

My truck was taken in in April. They had issues trying to diagnose it, but finally diagnosed a bad ECM. I was charged $3,449 for a new ECM from the dealer and another $1,800 to program said ECM. After 6 months they could not properly fix or program my truck. I drove it off 10/11/23 with more lights on the dash than it had going into this disaster if a business. Went to another (way better shop than this one) and they confirmed no programming was done and a used ECM possibly from the junkyard was installed on my truck. The ECM was not even compatible with my truck VIN. Stay away from these guys. Total scam artists. Chris the front desk secretary is a liar. Lied to my face of services paid for and items installed on my truck. Adam the owner is not trustworthy and very unprofessional. Fred is cool. read more

They only have one diesel mechanic and take forever and when they finally give you an estimate and decide to decline the work they charge you for storage after having the vehicle for several months. Don't use these people read more

My brothers truck was put in for repair and it took them 6mo to install a used ECM and it was not programmed . As you'll can see previous post on this business their quality of work has definitely gone down hill. Please stay away and save your money. Adam states he has 10 other businesses he has to worry abt and the ppl he has in place to help him run THIS business clearly doesn't know how to run a proper business. Which in turn makes you look bad. You charged (OVERCHARGED AT THAT) for services that were not rendered. You gave my brother your word; however, would not put it in writing and "as a man of your word" wanted a hand shake. You FAILED and did not keep your word. You/one of your employees installed faulty parts and not was was supposed to be done. With inflation and people working hard for their money how can you sleep at night knowing you're not doing the right thing. You said you'd make it right and would do whatever it took to fix the problem and you did NOT deliver. Please stay away from this business. read more

I took my truck in for a routine oil change and was over charged $650, which at the Ford dealership would have only been $300! I'm never going back so be aware if you decide to get services done at this shop their going to over charge you!!! read more

My son's car, a Genesis Coupe Turbo, had been in an accident a month earlier with only external damage to the hood and grill. It was covered under insurance and the car was sent to Caliber Collision for repairs. One week after it was out of the shop, the engine froze up while he was driving on 281 and I had the car towed back to Caliber Collision. After speaking with Caliber Collision and their review of the car, we were told the engine would have to be replaced, and it didn't have anything to do with previous repairs. After a review of the repairs, I determined that the engine wasn't touched. It was either a misdiagnosis of actual damages by the insurance adjuster, or it was simply coincidental. Either way, not a good thing. I was told by Caliber Collision that they do not replace engines, but would have a third party do the work. After looking online at several potential Engine specialists, and also weighing whether it might be more cost effective to buy another used car, I received quotes from several specialists, and I decided to have the engine replaced, since the car itself was in good shape. After reviewing the quotes, I decided to use Texas Elite Auto & Diesel (www.samechanic.com). One thing that firmed up my decision with Texas Elite Auto & Diesel was that they told me that they only used specific vendors for their parts. The vendors that they knew and trusted. It wasn't just buying an engine on the internet and hoping for the best. Their warranty for the engine would be 1-year parts and labor, which is very good compared to many of the places. Many places will cover the engine, but you would still end up paying a hefty price for labor if something major happened. I spoke with Chris, and he kept me in the loop with phone calls and text messages on the entire process. This included from the time the car arrived after the tow to Texas Elite Auto & Diesel from Caliber Collision, to choosing of the engine, and the status of the shipment of the engine from their vendor. I was also kept in the loop during the process of inspection of the engine to all the various diagnostics that were performed on the engine and other parts of the car that may have had issues from the freeze up. Excellent communication all around. When it was time to pick up the car, I took a test drive with the owner of Texas Elite Auto & Diesel. He told me that he liked driving a car that had the engine replaced like he was testing a race car. He said that only "he" would do this, not his employees. He wanted to stress test the car to see if everything sounded and felt good. He didn't want his customers stranded on the highway somewhere because they had tested the finished car with "kid gloves". It sounded and felt good. They also provided a list of a few things that they noticed while doing all the diagnostics that I might want to have fixed or replaced at a later time. Nothing critical, but just being transparent. My son has been driving the car, and I have driven it a few times, and it works great. I found when working with Texas Elite Auto & Diesel, their standards of integrity and customer care are 5 star. My vehicle has been at this shop for 2 weeks as of today every time I called them between Chris and Fred there has been no update no diagnoses no information they could give me at all. Just yesterday i spoke with Chris who told me "the tech he assigned to my vehicle has been out" and no one else was touching my car so it was sitting there. That he THINKS the tech was gonna be back later that day. With my vehicle already being there for so long with no diagnoses I tossed around the idea of taking it elsewhere if there was no update by the end of the day yesterday. He apologized to me up and down, recognized their fault even told me word for word this was Their "f up". Chris was more Worried about offering me a ride to work because I'm A dancer (he asked me what I do on a previous call) and joked about how he hasn't been to my club In a while-- RATHER than offering to put a different Tech on my jeep. I asked him the state of my vehicle as I was gonna take it somewhere else HE TOLD ME the engine was out of my vehicle but would be put inside of the vehicle in "a box" so that he "doesn't Have to charge me for labor to put it back in" his exact words. When I brought my vehicle to them they had me agree to start work on my car via text message for $115/hr plus taxes. They never stated there was an hour minimum. I have the texts to prove that. Today Chris called me To tell me he was charging me for half an hour of "diagnoses fees" and 3 quarts of oil before I towed it. I told him that's not fair to me because you've had my car sitting for 2 weeks without any diagnoses now you wanna charge me a half hour diagnostic fee? Chris specifically told me it would be $85-86 dollars and change. I SWEAR IVE CALLED JUST About EVERY 2-3 days to check for updates and there was NONE and I told Him I would call back because I was gonna Touch base with new Mechanic regarding the engine being out like Chris said. Mechanic requested the engine be put back which is standard. I called them back to request the engine be put back in place so Mechanic would take It. Fred was screaming at me and talking Over me and putting words in my mouth saying my engine Was not out I was lying and where was I getting that information from?? Umm CHRIS. Whyyyy would I just assume and make up that the engine was out how is that beneficial to me? I literally had to raise my voice because he would not let me talk. He tried to tell me That I said my car was there for a month and "I was wrong" because it's Only been there for two weeks. I NEVER SAID THAT WHEN I SPOKE TO CHRIS I specifically said my vehicle was been there since 2 days after valentines Day which is feb 16th which is 2 weeks tomorrow those were my exact words to him in regards to how long They've had it with no diagnoses or nothing.. but they're just trying to make me out to be a liar. Now when I called back and got disrespected so bad by Fred he told me they were charging me a full hour for diagnoses and 3 quarts of oil. $150 So of course I lost it because now not only have y'all had my vehicle for 2 weeks, every time I called there was no updates no diagnoses, I finally made The decision to move My vehicle elsewhere now they wanna act up and "make me pay for it" literally, I got talked Over and disrespected by Fred, I got Fred calling me a liar based off of "what Chris told him I said" which was all false, I got quoted a half hour for diagnostic fee even tho there was no diagnoses and never anyone working on it - even my warranty company said they called and filed the claim On the 16th or the 18th one of those and they haven't called since and now they wanna say they're charging me a full hour and I can't move my vehicle til it's paid but none of this is my fault at all! Chris had every excuse in the book as to why no work was being done in my car dental infections, pneumonia etc. Yesterday when Chris was apologizing to me he was more Worried about Offering me a ride to work because he knows I'm a dancer (because he asked Me on a previous call) than to offer to assign another mechanic to my car. These guys are on complete different pages and lying to each other trying to make it seem like their customers are lying then just throwing random prices out there & holding cars & disrespecting customers. I understand diagnosis fees are standard HOWEVER when there has been no diagnoses just excuses as to why they haven't touched my car this whole time and no updates I should not be held accountable for any fees then. This was the best customer service experience I ever had with a repair shop. I am an out of state traveler and my check engine light came on. I submitted a request on Yelp for a nearby repair shop. Most shops were booked. Texas Elite responded within 10 minutes. I was able to drop off my car and it was repaired within 3 hours. The customer service was great, because the driver Joey drop us off and picked us up for lunch. Joey also dropped us off at home. Don't use be aware they like to rip people off I got ripped off $2800 they said they fixed my truck and they didn't .20 minutes after I picked it up from their shop it died did the same exact thing it was going when took it in called the shop to see what they wanted to do and I wS told by Chris from the front desk that I could take it in but it would be an additional 350 read more
