Baklava
Saron B.

I discovered this place since it is the only place in the building. I have tried it twice for a quick lunch. It's a tricky thing to review the place because I went into this place fully prepared that I will not be getting an impressive lunch so in that sense this place did meet my expectation, it is a good spot to grab a quick and average food when in a rush but if you're looking for a healthy/decent food, not the place. The staff is very friendly and service is fast! It has enough seating inside, it's clean. The prices are a bit high for the food provided but perks of being the only food place in that building. So far, I've tried the veggie/hummus pita and the spinach/chicken melt. I appreciate the fact that they have a variety of vegetarian options, and the food doesn't taste too salty. Baklava was ok.

Ham & Pineapple Personal Pan Pizza!!!

Although, depending upon the time of day, its hordes of customers can resemble a slice of lemmings seeking Cherry-flavored Pawpsicles in the animated masterpiece Zootopia, Greenbelt, Maryland's location of Perfect Pita offers plenty of menu options. Single-serving pizzas that you can customize to your liking (I chose ham & pineapple, which my wife considers an affront!); pita shells stuffed with chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and ranch dressing (which, of course, I omit); and salads that would entice all of Judy Hopps' siblings, nieces, nephews, first cousins, and second cousins once removed, Perfect Pita will do in a pinch for carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores. Only the Gazelle-obsessed Clawhouser would be disappointed: they don't sell donuts. They do sell Baklava, however. Maybe Clawhouser could satisfy his sweet tooth after all!

5/5. The food is great! I usually get the steak and cheese pita and it is wonderful. The sauce they add is perfect // it is a great lunch spot. One of these days i will venture out and try the steak and chicken, but in the meantime - I highly recommend for anyone in the area.

The food was soooo delicious. The steak was a little tough but otherwise everything was excellent. The fried strawberry biscuits were a game changer as a birthday treat. However, I would say that the music plays from a little Bluetooth on the corner of the restaurant and it's not the greatest quality, would cut in and out, and it was just blaring way too loud, making it hard to have regular conversations. Service wasn't too bad overall. There was only one weight staff who had all the tables in the restaurant which made her spread out pretty thin. But we wouldn't get regular refills or Water and took so long to get water (waiting up to 20 min to try to get her attention) and at the end of our time together she finally gave us a pitcher of Water, but a little late as we're most done. Also, it took a while to get basic things we had ordered coffee but either she forgot to bring us coffee or she didn't ring it in and we weren't able to get it until after our food was delivered. So service, while she was friendly and kind, our service was definitely subpar. Hopefully this wasn't bc she had automatic tip bc our party was so large for her lack of service. 1/5 for service The food was amazing for the most part. I had gotten the salmon BLT and it was moist and tender with good flavor and seasoning, and the bread had a great texture and flavor to it as well. The bacon was nice and smoky and the sauce that was paired with it made it great. The hashbrowns were so crispy and seasoned with great flavor and salt! This was a winner! 4.5/5 Yeah, I got a bunch of other dishes, but I only tried small bites here and there of other people stuff. What I would say, is that the Cajun pasta shrimp was cooked perfectly and was tender and had great flavor! And that sauce was amazing! The sausage I tried wasn't the best but decent! We got biscuits and wings as appetizers, and the wings were great, good flavor, good crunch, and a decent size. However, there needs to be more wings in the order for the price. The hot honey sauce as good! 4/5 The biscuits were pretty moist and had a great texture and consistency, You get two for the order! 4/5 Overall, the food is pretty amazing. However, the service was pretty bad. Maybe this was a one off but just prepared for a long waits for everything from water to getting a drink order.

We all found traditional diner breakfasts as well as many dishes with a Latin taste and ingredients. I had their big egg sandwich with ham and bacon on a bagel. The sandwich's taste excelled despite the plain Jane bagel. Otherwise one family member had the eggs Benedict with ham rated very good. The hollandaise was just right. All eggs were cooked as ordered, bacon crispy but not too well done. Sweet ice tea was great! Everything was fresh, tasty and satisfying! The service was also attentive and friendly. Overall a great meal! Highly recommend!

Luckily I'm very familiar with the area and know that the entrance is beside the Exxon, up and winding driveway and sits on top of the hill. There's a small Wyndham hotel next to it, so if you look up and see the Wyndham signage, you're in the right spot! I've never dined at this spot and it's been here for YEARS! I believe it started off as a Howard Johnson's many moons ago, but don't quote me on that..LOL. The restaurant itself is really nothing to look at. It's seems more like a diner than a restaurant but it's surprisingly large, just a little outdated. I sat at the rather small bar since I was there for HH. The bartender was extremely pleasant and attentive. I ordered the wings and bacon wrapped dates that were on the HH menu and I also ordered the calamari which was on the regular menu. I must say, the calamari and bacon wrapped dates tastes as good as any I've ever had! The wings were very good as well. The HH priced margarita was extremely good and $4 off the regular price! I will definitely be back when I want to grab something good and lowkey. Oh yeah, there's a Mexican food vibe which surprised me. I was served complimentary chips and salsa, and the menu had several Mexican cuisine offerings. Because of this, they may want to consider a name change.. Lol!

The breakfast and brunch options here have consistently been high quality. The menu feels fresh, creative, and thoughtfully put together, with options like avocado toast, quinoa bowls, fresh juices, and seasonal specials. The lemon blueberry cornbread was delicious, and the restaurant itself is in a nice location, well kept, bright, and pleasant to visit. During one recent visit, there was an unusual service issue at the front. Genevieve stepped in with exactly the kind of professionalism, warmth, and accountability that makes a real difference. She listened carefully, did not minimize the concern, took responsibility on behalf of the restaurant, and made sure I felt valued as a customer. What impressed me most was not just that she addressed the issue, but how elegantly she handled it. Genevieve was calm, gracious, sincere, and clearly committed to making things right. Her response reflected genuine leadership and real care for the customer experience. Mistakes can happen anywhere. Genevieve's response is the reason I left still feeling good about this location, and she deserves real credit.

Blueberry cornbread: really good! Not very sweet so I could have eaten the whole thing. Tomato soup: I'm not a huge fan of tomato soup but it's the only soup on the menu so I decided to try it. It was really fresh with basil in it and not too acidic. I would get it again.

Cedars Of Lebanon - Lamb Kabob

Cedars Of Lebanon

The Cedars of Lebanon is an easily-overlooked cafe right on the corner of the Old Greenbelt…read moreShopping Center which is a lovely hidden gem. I spent every summer in this town, growing up, and I never discovered this restaurant until a precious friend brought me here a few years ago. It's a dated, though efficient, and charming, cafe with fresh dishes you might love. Firstly, if you plan on having lunch here on a Monday, make sure you are able to finish by 2:45 since they close by 3pm. All other days, they are open past 8pm. We started with the sweet potato soup despite the fact that the reviews for the lentil soup here are the highest. Yes! If it's featured: get it! The turmeric and coconut milk make this soup delightful. The herbs made it so fresh and there was just the right amount of sweetness and gentle heat. Parsley really adds to this recipe and I'm not usually a fan of this herb. The pitas are soft, thin and light. Love them. We needed to order more. I've never had such paper-thin pitas. Yum! I love love love the hummus, here. It is nothing short of divine. The flavors are fabulous and deeply complex. You can really taste the tahini. The olive oil is mild and delicious. I exclaimed, "the hummus was the best ever." And then 5 minutes later, I read a review by Yelper James H. where he says it's the best ever and, "... this hummus at Cedars of Lebanon might have ruined all other hummus for me forever." While I've had similar swooning feelings over the hummus at Lebanese Taverna in Tyson's Corner, this hummus is at least a top contender if not the metro DC area's hummus winner. The cucumber mint yogurt salad is nice, cold and refreshing. You can really taste the mint. I would order this yogurt salad with every meal. The falafel pizza is unusual and fresh. Straight away-- you can taste the tahini, parsley and couscous. The dough is grainy and natural. And there are radishes on this falafel pizza: not overpowering. For the $9 or so pricepoint, this dish is a true labor of love. To prep all of these vegetables, even with food processors, must take time. How novel of a dish! Put the yogurt salad on this pizza. You will thank me. And I only did it because I was watching someone else slather it on. There were at least 12 desserts on the menu. Meow. If we weren't so full of pita, hummus, tahini and fresh veggies, we certainly would love to taste a few of these. As well as the Turkish coffee, with an authentic ceramic and metal carafé presentation.

Pretty easy, breezy no-frills restaurant…read more We stopped by Cedars of Lebanon, because it was one of the few places that had outdoor seating and was not full. The restaurant has a small outdoor dining area with three four-seater tables, which was find for our two dogs. The experience overall was pretty low key, which necessarily is not a bad thing. Although there is waiter/waitress service, you will have to order your food at the cashier's counter. Actually, maybe that's only a thing if you are dining outside. The menu has a nice mix of Middle Eastern dishes. I went with a beef (or maybe it was lamb) kabob plate. The portions were fine and my meal was pretty good. It was not out of this world amazing, but it got the job done. I thought that the prices were pretty good for the area and the amount of food received. Although the food was fine, I do not think that I would go out of my way (e.g., driving more than 30 minutes) to dine here. Just be aware that the restaurant does not serve alcoholic beverages.
