Very pleasant surprising stop off as we were traveling up from Phoenix in to havasupai falls. Great food, very friendly staff! Lisa was a great bartender and made the best margaritas from scratch! Kenny and some friends were jamming on the guitar in the bar, Anna lice even got down playing the spoons! playing some country tunes and some blues! Great atmosphere and a place to relax before the hike. Staying at the hotel as well, themed rooms! Why not? Long waits for food, but they warn you of that with a sign on the front door. Has a bar attached with shuffle board. Nice staff, just don't come too starving cause everything takes a while to prepare. Average food quality in general but I've eaten at every place in seligman and these guys are my second fave. read more

The only reason this is just a middle of the road rating is the wait time on the food is pretty long.. We stopped over at the bar (connected) to kill time and got through two drinks before we checked on our pizza to find it had been forgotten about! However, the people were so friendly and the food was good so it definitely didn't ruin the experience. the pizza is 5 stars, tons of vegetables on the veggies pizza and an amazing crust with delicious sauce. the restaurant is under new management since the last time we came, and it seems to be a big improvement. the decor is subpar, very cluttered and outdated, but the new booths and chairs are a step in the right direction as far as that goes. generally great experience with friendly staff and good food. read more

First off, let me state that I don't care much for their pizza (I was married to an Italian for 14 years.) We tried this place a couple times before (for pizza) and was not impressed at all and didn't return for about 5 years (I live near this town.) Three months ago we wanted to eat while in town and decided "to go here one more time." We tried the other Italian food offered. I had an order of the mussels appetizer and found them to be very good. I also ordered the Scampi and it was good also. When I poured the remaining juice from the mussels over the spaghetti it was amazingly good. Have had this diner about three time now and just love it. The last two times here on Saturday evenings I have had the prime rib. Although it could be a bit thicker, it was very, very good. The vegetables served with the prime rib were prepared just like you would find in a good french restaurant, where they do know how to properly treat them. We both love Chef Don's cheesecake and have it every time we eat there. It is the best cheesecake we have ever tasted, anywhere (I hope my cardiologist doesn't read this though - you all will keep my secret won't you?) read more

Visited this entertaining eatery a week ago on way back from Grand Canyon. We arrived in the last hour of business on Friday night and it was like an oasis! (If you are headed west on I-40, this is your last chance to stop before Kingman, AZ, a long distance away if it is getting late and you are hungry.) We were greeted with a warm welcome and an offer to make a fresh pot a coffee at 9pm, which was a good indication that Jeremy is well aware that he is serving travel-weary folk! We accepted the offer and helped ourselves to cup after cup of coffee from the self-serve drink station. Seeing as we were escaping 20-something degree weather in the GC, hot soup also seemed in order; chose the tomato basil soup that is vegetarian; it was served hot and was home-made delicious. Like kids in a candy shop, we had to order the Pizza Joints' french fries, too--big, fat fries fried just right that delighted us. To keep things simple, we ordered pizza and were surprised by the fresh veggies and quality crust that created a really satisfying pizza. ('Surprised', because we felt in the-middle-of-nowhere and come from big cities where excellent food options abound.) Wish we could have tried a pasta entree, too. While we are a mature couple and enjoyed the visit, adults/children of any age would, too. There are lots of things to walk around and look at and learn from inside the casual restaurant. We appreciated the friendly, helpful service and the quality food while planning our next move...which, in the end, was to stay overnight at the adjacent motel! (The Stagecoach Motel is unique and playful it's own way, with individually themed rooms--ours was "I Spy"!) At check out, we spilled our wallet contents across the floor and thought we found all the items, but on returning home we realized one credit card was missing. We called The Pizza Joint, left a message with a cheerful young lady and then received a call back from Chad; he informed us that he had the card in safe-keeping. Chad took our mailing address information and personally mailed the credit card to us at no charge. This was a very nice gesture, no cancellation of a card was necessary. If you are in the area for recreation or passing by on I-40, make the short jaunt to The Pizza Joint! And you can let them know Ash and Julie sent you! We hope to make it back to these special folks and food again soon. read more

We stopped here after hiking 12 miles in the Grand Canyon and we absolutely adored the little town. Our first thought was to stop at one of the diners that were easily visible, but a local stopped us an persuaded us to go the The Pizza Joint and boy oh boy are we glad we did! The pizza was AMAZING!!!! Honestly it was the best pizza I ever had. Chef Don made it a point to come out several times just to talk to us and that made the time there even more special. He has several daily specials that we have heard about and cannot wait to try them some day! read more

When checking in at the KOA in Seligman, Arizona, I asked if there was a restaurant in walking distance. They pointed out The Pizza Joint. My husband and I travel across the country and we make it a point to eat in Seligman, just off of I-40. We love the Pizza Joint. Don't let the name fool you, this small-town restaurant is truly special. Chef Don never fails to impress us. He has different daily specials and I can honestly say we have not had one bad meal. Amongst the daily specials we have had- Homemade Lasagna, Blackened or Baked Catfish, Prime Rib, a Mexican Platter, numerous daily homemade appetizers, soups, and desserts. The Pizza and calzones are also quite yummy. We also really love the fresh salad which is loaded with all kinds of healthy goodness. Nice selection of beers and cocktails available and a little country bar next door. Besides great food, which is fairly priced, occasionally a cowboy or two will be strumming a guitar and singing for tips. The owner is Anne Lise, a cute, little Norwegian lady who rolled into town on her motorcycle and never left. read more

The bonus of this was the pizza was pretty good. (Minus the hair I picked out of it) The downside was the service was awful! We showed up at 12:10, 10 minutes after opening and the door was still locked. They unlocked it, didn't even open it for us, or seat us. So we walked in and sat down. She gave us menus and we ordered their breadsticks with parmesan and marinera. She didn't want to refill my drinks, so she told me I could do that myself. It took about 30- 40 min for our food. When the breadsticks came out they did not have Parmesan on them and there was no marinera. We asked for sauce and they brought it out ice cold. We asked if they could heat it up. She said she would, stuck it in the microwave, and brought it back still cold. When we were ready to pay, we had to go find someone. We told them we weren't paying for the breadsticks. They said "You don't get cheese on them unless you order that." My husband picked up a menu and read from the menu the description and said "this is not what you advertised and we aren't paying for it. Not only that, it didn't come out with the sauce and it was cold, even after we asked for it to be heated." The stuck their finger in it and said "ok that's cold." It was probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant in my life honestly. And the mediocre pizza, with the hair, definitely didn't make up for the extremely rude, lazy, and negative service we received. read more

Good selection of drinks, and the food (we had pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, olives and onions) was excellent. Stopped here after our hike out of havasupai. We needed food and tons of it quickly. This place hit the spot. We had pizza and antipasto pasta salad; both items are great. The staff was very friendly and the owner even stopped by to stay hello and wished us a safe trip back to the valley.
