We went to an event at Gaylord Palms and decided that the food in the hotel was way over-priced so we used Yelp (duh!) to help us find something close that was more in our price range. Our boys (2 and 4) of course chose pizza. Shocker, right? Pretty soon I will be the ultimate go-to person for pizza places because I feel like that's all they ever want. Anyhoo... Pizza Press showed up and I was really impressed with their reviews and knew that is exactly where we wanted to go. First of all, it's such a cute theme. It's got this old time newsy type of look including your pizza being put on paper that looks like news print and the staff wearing newsboy hats. I appreciate good theming. You walk in and it's a very similar style to Blaze pizza... basically make your own style. They press your crust right in front of you (which the kids thought was cool) and they do have kids meals options that come with personal pizza (great size), drink and a cookie. I opted to make my own pizza and the great thing about this place is there are tons of options to choose from. I love how you can truly get creative with your flavor combos. Everything tasted amazing and my husband even liked the red sauce (this is something he tends to be particular about). So... that's already a great sign. We visited this restaurant with a Groupon. Unlike most restaurants they treated you like a "King" even with a prepaid deal. We had one for 2 pizzas, cheesy bread and two cookies. We could pick one of their signature pizza or "publish" our own. There did not seem to be a limit on our topping choices. For the signature we choose The Sun which is a pizza with pineaple, but instead of just ham it also came with bourbon bacon and a set list of ingredients. Yum. At the end you can finish off your pizza with a sauce or add a flourish like fresh basil. I got a small drizzle of balsamic on top of this pizza. For the second pizza we did our version of meat lovers, I chose red sauce, carmelized onions, mozzarella, gouda and then little tiny fresh mozzarella balls, meatballs, sausage, bourbon bacon, ham, chicken and mushrooms. It was loaded and for this one we added basil on top. This pizza is a thin crisp crust pizza. I am originally from the Midwest and it reminded me of "Monicals" pizza chain crust.. The Pizza Press runs your pizza through an oven with your toppings and it is ready in only a few minutes. I think that is why thy go with the thin crust pizza. It is not the most authentic but they had so many topping choices and the way they build your pizza through an assembly line as you move towards the register, you get exactly what you order. We also got the cheesy bread with the marinara. My husband loved this and ate most of this rather than the pizza. The guys who put our pizza together were very accomodating as was the cashier who let me taste a few of the local craft beers before I chose s 4 flight. They have Crooked Can (Cloud Chaser) and a few other local brewers. My favorite was the Mango. 4 cute snifters in a rack were $6. The cookies were thick pre-made and cello wrapped up by the register. One nice addition at the self service soft drink station is they had lemonade vitamin water with zero calories. So many places do not offer a diet and caffeine free choice but this hits the mark. We had a great time and have been enjoying the leftovers. We definitely will be back. read more

Okay so my fiancé and I came here seeking a pizza place like Blaze but without the hassle of Disney Springs. The Pizza Press pretty much delivered on that, and we're in agreement that it's a perfectly worthy substitution. Sidenote: Hooray for Coke products! If you've been to Blaze or Mod Pizza or Pieology, this is basically like any of those. One base price and you can put whatever toppings you want on your pizza without any extra charges. Sounds good, right? And these guys have TONS of toppings and sauces, more variety than any other place I've been to of the same style. Pretty much anything you could want, they have it. My only little criticism is the same one I have with Blaze - the regular marinara is extremely bland. Definitely spice it up by mixing it with the spicy marinara, or add some red pepper flakes or oregano or garlic or ALL OF THESE. It helps a lot! Definitely will be back, there are more topping combos we want to try next time. read more

Pizza Press is an excellent fast casual restaurant where you can pick exactly what you want to have on your pizza for a great price. I love the create your own option, where you can pile on the healthy and unhealthy ingredients for one small price. The next great part is the speed - you can create your own in less time than it would take to sit in a drive through line. If you are a local, be sure to ask about a local's discount - it's a cool 20% that makes the whole experience even better. Also, there is enough pizza in one pie to get two small meals...or one large meal, which is definitely the best way to eat it. I also always ask for extra sauce - it feels a little light if you use their regularly amount. I'm in love with the after cooking topping bar which includes cilantro, rosemary, etc. These flavors add something different to the experience. Try the rosemary - it's incredible. read more

This spot is very similar to Blaze or Your Pie (following a "Chipotle for pizza ordering process).I found the Pizza Press enjoyable, but I think I still prefer Blaze overall! One of Pizza Press' biggest strength is it's cute theming with kind of a retro newspaper style. The environment was really nice! Another strength is the large selection of beers on tap. I ordered one of the signature pizzas and found the flavor enjoyable and the toppings to be ample and fresh. I also got an ice cream sandwich, but that did not live up to my expectations. The cookies were kind of hard and the ice cream seemed a little older. I'd come back for the pizza, but probably make a trip to Blaze instead if given the choice. read more

As this is a pizza place, it is like the concept of Blaze Pizza where you can build your own for a reasonable price or choose from the menu. I like how you can choose your own toppings to your liking. Here they make the dough using the presser, which can be time consuming if you are in a hurry and taking your pizza to go or are just simply "starving" and cannot wait to sit down and eat. There is usually a line especially during lunch times or rush hour. The desserts are overpriced and takes literally seconds to make, as I stood behind the counter watching my dessert to be made. Florida beers are available that I hope to try the next time around. The pizzas are affordable and made right in front of you. I like the theme of this restaurant that brings you to the 1920's, which makes it a fun atmosphere. Also, I am not sure if I was supposed to clean up after dining in. We have been in her several times. Family special going on right now 2 pizzas two beverages and a salad. You get to choose everything the pizza crust type, the sauce, toppings. The salad the same thing, you choose your greens and your toppings. Such a good deal didn't know they had salads and the fact that you can have it topped anyway you like is outstanding. I went on the first day because I received a flyer in my mailbox for a free pizza if I signed up on their website. When I arrived at 6pm, the line was out the door (understandably, for free pizza...with the purchase of a drink). One one end, the first employee presses the dough into the pizza shape. You can choose from printing press-themed premade pizza flavors or create your own. They quick cook it halfway through and then you can add fresh ingredients on top. It's a great concept. The pizza tasted fine and wasn't anything spectacular. The sign said they had $5 beers but I guess the one I chose wasn't one of them. It was still good and a good recommendation from the cashier. This place is located where Starbucks closed (which is now located nearby in a new building with and drive thru). So happy to have this open in Kissimmee! With such limited options in the Celebration Florida area, this place was long overdue. It's your typical quick pizza place. The big difference is they have a newspaper theme. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. We ordered the Tribune and the Herald. I would say watch as they make your pizza. I left like the sauce that was served with a brush type of utensil was not sufficient. When I asked for more sauce, the pizza maker happily applied more. They offer a variety of discounts so ask at the end before you pay. The staff were friendly and I noticed they had a wide variety of beers and other beverages. Definitely going back to try different combinations. Each of our pizzas were $10 before our discount. ***Our second visit and the person making our pizza had a bad attitude. I like my sauce to the edge so I asked for extra sauce please all the way to the edge. He ignored me. I assumed he didn't hear so I repeated it as he looked at me. I had to ask him three times for extra sauce as he reluctantly added 1/4 teaspoon at a time "Is that ok now?" Ummm no and he refused to spread it to the edge. You can choose to create your own pizza, or try their specialities. We got half chronicle (veggie with pesto, artichokes, goat cheese and shrooms with basil- no tomato sauce just EVOO) and half Herald, which is a white sauce chicken pizza (pictured below). The Insalata Italiana was fresh, olives, peppers and mozzarella chunks with Italian dressing). I'm a very hard food critic to please, and this was definitely 5/5 stars! A family favorite after church on Sundays. But in particular, we thank Manager, Abraham Hoepp and staff for their help in planning our 55th anniversary lunch. The patio was comfortable in the September heat, with ceiling fans and and a natural breeze. It was everything we hoped. A casual and relaxing opportunity for 29 dear family and friends to review old memories and make new ones. The food was delicious, with something for everyone. Pasta, pizza, wings, salads. Some guests had no idea it was right across from the heart of Celebration, Florida. I expect many will make it a regular restaurant for their favorite take out or eat in venue. read more

There isn't too much seating inside but there's a decent size patio for you to enjoy your pizza. Upon walking in, the wonderful smell of pizza hits you. Amazing. This is not NY style pizza or gourmet or anything like that but it's excellent pizza. The main reason we decided to check this place out was the craft beer selections. Pizza is kinda like sex, even when it's bad it's still ok (*disclaimer: consensual sex*). Anyways, we selected The Tribunal for the pizza and a flight of beer. The price shocked me, at first I thought they only charged me for the flight. The guy at the register was knowledgeable about beers so much appreciated Mr. Bones. Also, Papi Starfish is the one that gave us the breakdown on how this themed pizza press works, he was very nice. The lady making the pizza was also very nice. 5 stars on the staff. The pizza? So good. We made plans about the next pizza we're going to try and we didn't even finish the current pizza. I would have preferred some more local brews but I was still ultra happy. My only negative - please put in a baby changing station. Update: we returned and all of the staff recognized us! Papi Starfish is the man you want to see about delicious, fresh, specialty pizza. We were heading out this direction anyways to go to Nike and decided to let my toes dry and eat dinner first. To put it in the basic terms as possible this place is just like Subway but with pizza. They take the dough right out of the container put it right onto the circle pie thing, squash it and out comes the crust. Next they ask you what base (sauce) you want and what cheeses or garlic. Then is the next set of toppings... meats, veggies, fruits & ransoms. Then the oven & finally other sauces on top to make it extra special. They serve it to you on wooden pizza trays. The Pizza Press is everything that I could want in a quick pizza stop. I get to order exactly what I want and not have to share, I get my food quickly, and it is *damn good*. As others have mentioned, The Pizza Press operates a lot like Blaze. But it has more options and in my opinion is of a better quality (smoked Gruyere?? pink sauce?? I'm done). When you arrive you can build your own pizza or pick off of their pre built menu. I got the Times with white sauce, and oh my goodness it was the best BBQ pizza I've had in my life. I really appreciate that the pizza is small enough for me to have for myself, but it tastes like real pizza, not just a typical thick crust personal pan pizza. They also have a nice variety of sauces and finishings (basil, oregano, arugala) to top off your pizza. The Pizza Press also has really cool flights and a lunch special, where you can order a mini pizza, get cheesy bread, and a drink for pretty cheap. There are so many pizza options in this part of town but this may top them all. Right away, the staff is always awesome and helpful. For the very hungry, one pizza will do the trick but it can certainly be split between two. The base pizza is $8.95 while the speciality or Publish Your Own is $10.95. The Family Special includes two pies with garlic bread and two drinks for $27. We like the Publish Your Own because we can load up as many toppings as we want. And we then take home what we don't eat and have for lunch the next day. So it becomes two meals in one. They have a wide variety of local and state beers on draft for about $6 too. The whole process is lovely especially for a family who is visiting town and needs a quick meal, while also experiencing a local adult beverage.
