We ordered mac & cheese, a biscuit, broccolini l, coleslaw and two chicken burgers. For one of the chicken burgers, we asked for grilled chicken instead of fried chicken and they were more than happy to accommodate. Both the grilled and fried chicken were incredibly tender and the sandwiches were so tasty. The mac & cheese was some of the best I've ever had. It was creamy and cheesy with a layer of baked cheese on top. The coleslaw was also perfectly sweet and crunchy. The biscuit was cheesy, warm and flaky. To end our email, Tim brought us a piece of hummingbird cake on the house, and we really appreciated the gesture. When we arrived, it seemed like a downtown area that was kind of chill because it was a Tuesday early evening. From the front I noticed some funny signs, a patio that was wide open for seating, yard games and a nice cozy dive bar vibe. When we went inside, we were immediately greeted at the counter by our server. It was not busy, there was actually only one customer sitting at the bar. The bar has about 6 seats and has TVs to watch and the restaurant if filled with tons of cool Classic Rock pictures, memorabilia and quotes. It was just the vibe we needed to just hang as a family. The server allowed us to pick any table we wanted. We ordered margaritas. They were delicious. We also has the RIBS, okra, mac & cheese, potato salad, some greens, cornbread, brisket, grilled cheese sandwich and fries. EVERYTHING, including the SERVICE was on point; we left well fed, satisfied and happy we found this place to eat tonight. To walk off the food , there is a park right across the street. At the park you will find food trucks for dessert, like ice cream on a hot day. There's also a walking trail and a play ground for the kiddos. There was an area where people were fishing off the doc. I saw an area where people also get married and a facility for our veterans. I included some pictures of what I saw along my way after I left the restaurant for people looking for things to do in the area with a family and/or friends. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend you stop by this restaurant for some good eats, drinks and just a place to relax and have a good time.
