My hot water heater broke and leaked water back into the house. Someone suggested one of the Big box company plumbers and after hearing that they didn't have anyone who could see me that morning, I called Pro Service. Kelly was amazing. She pulled someone off a job to come make sure I had access to water since all my water was off. Johnny came within the hour and got hot water heater turned off, but left regular water on. The very next morning, Johnny was back installing a new water heater. This is the kind of service you can only get from a family run business. I requested help from Scooter I was put on the schedule 3 days out they didn't show. Saw Scooter and he did drop by looked at the issue a s said they would be back the next day. They didn't show. Saw Scooter again he said I'll be there in the morning with something that will smell really terrible but thats first step. So that was 3 weeks ago and they never returned. No call no show? Maybe they want to replace hot water heaters and fix leaky faucets not diagnosis and fix plumbing in a peer and beam home. Go elsewhere is my recommendation. read more

Winter Storm 2.0 - today I had a water alarm go off in my attic. I found that despite it being 63 degrees up there I had standing water under my tankless hot water heater. So I called Pro-Service and Kelly the office manager answered...being that it is Christmas weekend at 4 pm...I was shocked but I told her the issue. She said she would call owner Tom and let me know what he said. I then sent them photos of the issue. Within 45 minutes of my initial call Tom was calling and walking me thru how to stop the leak. He said he will call me tomorrow to come over for a more detailed look. Pro-Service should be your go-to plumber! read more

I discovered a leak in the utility sink in the garage during the cold spell a couple weeks ago. I reached out to my regular plumber but they were over loaded and referred me to ProService. Johnny came out the next day. I did not think the pipes had frozen but there was a small puddle on the floor. Johnny confirmed it was not a broken pipe but a old worn out leaking faucet. I appreciated Johnny's frank answer. He said this leak was small (contained in a mop bucket under the sink) and not a priority now. I agreed this was small potatoes compared to others in Allen who had no water service due to frozen pipes. About a week later, he came by and fixed it. It's refreshing that a company would put others first on the list and me last. This is a company that cares about customers and customer service. read more

Fantastic experience. Cannot say enough Good things about this company. Called when I couldn't turn my shower off and Tom came out on a holiday to fix a broken shower valve. Thoughtful, courteous, and more than willing to go the extra mile. Tom fixer some of the pressure concerns after replacing the shower and left everything in better condition than it was when I bought the house. I mentioned a problem I had been having with another bathroom and Tom fixed that while he was here, too. I would give this company no stars if I could. Called multiple times to set an appt after they said contact them through my home warranty- they went ahead and scheduled a time frame without confirmation with me which is fine I was home because there are 4 other contractors here doing work, after waiting the entire 4 hour window frame, someone pulled into our driveway and while I was outside with another contractor they pulled away and drove off before I could get to them- now directing me to home warranty company because I held them accountable for their actions. read more

We have used Pro Service Plumbing 2-4 times. While I have no real gauge for comparison in price for their service, it does seem pricier than usual but that comment does not affect my star rating above. I'm pleased with their installation of our new toilets and water heater, however, after repairing a sink, the employee took our left over/removed/used copper pipes (vintage house) without asking. I gave them an opportunity to ask to keep the metal by drumming up a conversation about how expensive copper had become and still no request to take our property, just a statement that the guys back the "store" send all this stuff in at the end of the year for bonuses. Um bonuses from your customers without asking! Would we have given them our left overs? Probably. I know how much that metal is worth but I wasn't really in the mood to take it to a recycling station. But it's much more responsible and graceful for a person to ASK the owner of the property if they intend to throw it away so that it can be recycled and the employee gets to reap the rewards. We won't be calling this company anymore as we felt off put by this situation and we want to compare rates elsewhere. This sucks because it's always nice to find a company and stick with them for all your needs. Oh well. On to the next company. read more

Two weekends ago I had a new washer and dryer delivered and the delivery guy accidentally hit the gas line and we smelled gas. I called Pro-Service Plumbing and they responded right away. They came out and fixed the gas line, checked my water heater, and installed a part I had in my kitchen facet for under $400. I can confirm the experience of the previous rater. They made an appointment, but arrived late. When pointed out that they were late they took the "take-it-or leave-it" approach. They were also not willing to stand by their quote and tried to add on additional charges to the quoted price. If you want service, this is not the company to deal with!!! read more

I noticed a problem with our water heater Thursday morning and called Pro-Service. Kelly answered the phone right away and set up a time for Tom (owner and master plumber) to come out that afternoon and take a look. He called before coming and showed up on time. He was up front on pricing and since the unit was still covered by the mfg. warranty, he was able to make the exchange without me having to do any of the legwork for the warranty claim. His crew (Johnny and James) showed up Friday morning and completed the work expertly and timely. They were careful about making sure no rusty water leaked on the carpet and kept me informed when they needed to get a coupling that was an unusual size and they didn't have it on their truck. They showed up a little after 11 in the morning and were done by 2:00, including going to get the coupling. I was impressed by how quickly they were able to get the whole thing done. High quality work, respectful of my time and keeping me informed is why I give them 5 stars. Will keep their number and call again for future plumbing needs. read more
