It's very much a cash-only and no-frills type of place. Don't come here expecting them to be super friendly to you. You go up there knowing what you want to order and they are quick and on it. When you're paying, they're already getting the other customer's (behind you) order. We went for an Italian beef sandwich to split as well as a side of fries and an Italian ice. Everything was excellent. Definitely the best Italian beef I've ever had and one of my friends said it was one of the best foods he had on his week trip here. Will definitely need to return!

Note: this was my second visit as my first attempt, on Father's Day 2025, was a magnificent bust. We had no line and plenty of seating this time! They have a big menu, but save the cute stuff for a follow-up visit and get a beef (& hot dog is really hungry). Do yourself a favor and get an Italian Ice too, time of year is irrelevant. You can thank me after your tastebuds recover from being overwhelmed. Is the food THAT much better than other spots, you ask? Not handedly, no. But the whole experience, especially if you wait in line (in the sun as there is zero shade), is what makes this place great. It really is a delightful Chicago experience. I know what you're thinking: WTF. Well, I guarantee you that it was most delicious. Also, the guy and lady who was running the stand were very friendly and helped me with recommendations. And I can't believe that this is right here in Goshen. I WILL be checking out their storefront sometime.
