We stop here every time we come to Vegas. Brought some friends with us this time and introduced them to Herbs and Rye. Food is fantastic as always. Steak is always a good choice. Tried the calamari this time which was also very good.

Herbs and Rye is a bar and restaurant located about 10 minutes from the Vegas Strip. You can make reservations but they go quickly. If you're unable to get one, you can arrive at 4:30pm before the doors open at 5pm to get a seat at the bar. When we arrived at 4:30pm there was already a line wrapping around the building and we barely just got seats. The inside gives off speakeasy vibes as it's dark and intimate. They have a list of cocktails that are sorted by era including but not limited to Prohibition and the tiki boom. They have happy hour all the time which includes half off steaks and discounts on other dishes. The ribeye ($46) was good but could've used some extra flaky salt for extra savoriness. The truffle mac and cheese ($16) was really good with nice truffle flavors but could've used bigger portions. The spicy mussels ($22) were spicier than expected and we liked using the bread to soak the sauce up. The sweet thai wings ($17) were not spicy but I liked dipping it in the ranch. For cocktails, the aviation and missionary's downfall were solid and the weekend at the waldorf was like a strawberry daiquiri.

We came here for happy hour with our kids before the backstreet boy concert and wow I've found my new favorite place! We got the New York strip cooked medium rare, mashed potatoes, asparagus, linguine and clams, and donuts for dessert. Everything was cooked well and seasoned well. The strip was a little tough for some reason but still was good. The surprise for me was the donuts! They were light and fluffy and not overly sweet. Almost like a beignet donut! We had a great experience - will definitely come back. Make sure to make a reservation!

Heard so much about this local spot. It's off the strip and has its own very small parking lot. At peak times the whole lot could fill up so you might have to park along the back alley. They are closed all Sundays, but every other day they have "happy hour" from 5-8 pm and then again another late happy hour after hours. They open right at 5 pm and often fill up very quick. If you have a large party I would recommend a reservation way in advance. If not, first come first served walking up to the bar and you can order both drinks and full menu offerings here. It's 50% off select entrees like steaks, pastas, and simple drinks. I ended up with the NY strip steak, sweet potatoes tots, Parmesan truffle fries, and pornstar martini. Note that the steaks have nothing else included on the plate including dipping sauces; those are all additions on top of it. At first thought $30 is not bad for a good steak and it's half off what a deal! However, the quality was just not the best even for the discounted half off. Prices even with the happy hour discount were high for the quality of food. My steak was one of the cheaper ones, but certain parts of it was gummy and chewy and hard to digest. The Parmesan truffle fries were basically just plain thick steak fries with some shavings of Parmesan. Not strong at all in flavors and I thought there would be like a truffle dip with it, but they just had ketchup. The pornstar menu is off the menu and thought it was decent, but priced at $17, which is higher than I'm used to paying. Inside it's loud and dark. It was alittle hard to track down our server/ bartender since we were at the bar. The only positive was that the food came out fairly quick and we didn't feel rushed to move out of the bar area we were in. Good to experience once, but unfortunately I didn't feel like it lived up to the LV local hype. I feel like there's other places around with better priced things. This is more for the ambiance and not necessarily the quality of food.

Ever since I saw a video that they serve malt liquor the same way fancy places serve champagne I've been dying to try this place out. The previous times I was in town their reservations were full so I didn't bother. Recently on a Friday night we decided to head over and put on name down on the wait list. There was about a 2 hour wait so our plan was to either kill time a mile down the road at the Palace Station, but we opted to go next door to little sports bar The Goat to kill time. Eventually our spot gets called in after a few no show reservations about an hour and a half later. From the host to the waiters the service here was fantastic. The prices here are amazing with the all day happy hour pricing on some of the entrees and the drink menu solid with lots of unique cocktails. The inside is a mixture of after hours steak house/cocktail bar. Very lively without being incredibly loud. Herb & Rye is a place in Vegas you have to try at least once if you frequently visit the city, and if you can't find an open reservation to book I'd suggest coming to put your name on the list while having some time planned out to hit up the near by casino or bar next door just to keep the fun going while waiting for a spot.

Outstanding service. Ronnie was one of the best servers I've ever had in a restaurant. The food was excellent and loved every bit of it and unfortunately could not eat enough of it. Also has a good vibe.

Been wanting to try this spot for a long time now. We were in town and it happens to be my birthday. I finally got to check them out. We made reservations online arriving on a Monday evening for a group dinner with family and friends. Herbs and Rye is located off West Sahara Avenue close to Palace Stations Casino in Las Vegas. Parking is accessible all around the restaurant but can be tough to find a spot during busy hours. The restaurant was dark, intimate, and bustling. There was an upscale modern speakeasy like decor to it. The bar was long and thriving. Patrons are chatting with one another to each side and the bartenders as well. I can see why a lot of people line up at the door when it opens just to get a spot at the bar. We ordered a bunch of tasty meats, sides, and pasta to share family style. Standout favorites that we ordered included Aglio e Olio, medium rare ribeyes, medium rare filet mignon, jalapeno cream corn, and the blue cheese crust. Everything was delicious and high quality. The ribeye was tender and juicy. It was cooked just right. Aglio e Olio was creamy and flavorful. I enjoyed the blue cheese crust especially spread on the complementary white bread. My Vieux Carré cocktail was soothing and sweet. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Herbs and Rye. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu. I enjoyed the cozy lounge vibe very much. The happy hour prices on select meats and pasta is such a nice touch. I appreciated the birthday donut dessert. It was a nice surprise. I definitely want to come back next time we are in town to try more food and cocktails items on the menu.

We returned here after a 14-year absence, and are pleased to report that this restaurant serves superior cuisine: simple but well executed. After complimentary White Bread & Soft Butter, Diane and I shared a very fresh Shrimp Cocktail with colossal shrimps. Then I began with very sweet French Onion Soup and a fine Wedge Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing, thick cut Bacon and Red Onion. I next enjoyed fine Surf & Turf: an 8 oz. buttery medium-rare Filet Mignon with large Button Mushrooms, fine Bearnaise Sauce, and superior grade Asparagus spears. Diane also ordered Surf & Turf with exceptional French Fries specked with finely shredded Parmesan Cheese, while I had good Sweet Potato Tots. But the beef did not taste like prime beef. Service was professional and responsive, and the restaurant was cool inside on a hot day. XXXX-1/2 stars overall!

Herbs & Rye is one of the most unassuming places both inside and out, but undeniably one of the best food experiences I have whenever I come to Vegas. You can pay far more money on the Strip and probably get a great steak, but this place is worth coming out of the way for, and not just because it's cheaper. I've never been here outside of happy hour, so I can't speak to the busyness of the place during regular hours. That being said, during HH, if you walk in, you can likely plan to wait up to 2 hours. Would I wait that long here? Probably not in the dead of Vegas summer, as there's nothing around and nowhere to go. So we always make a reservation, which you can actually do here during HH - many places in Vegas won't allow you to do that. It's dark, it's cozy, it's romantic, but it's not pretentious, it really cares about the food and drink. For their HH, they do 50% off ALL their meat cuts plus a handful of other apps/pastas. They're well-known for their steaks and cocktails. My favorite is the ribeye, but this time we tried the NY Strip for something less fatty. While more lean, it was the juiciest NY Strip I've ever had in my life! We also got the linguini and clams, which was delicious and garlicky. But the star of the show for me was the garlic mashed potatoes. Creamy, smooth, buttery, with garlic confit on top - perfection. They also do cocktails for different eras (i.e. Prohibition, Golden Age, Gothic Age, etc.) which is super cool. I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo of the food. Our drinks were great! Make a reservation, try it out, you won't regret it. This is a must for me whenever I'm in Vegas.

The vibe was awesome. They provide great Happy Hour for a few hours starting at 4pm. The drinks were amazing and tasty. The service was friendly and delightful. The meal was not rush and enjoyable. The food was delicious. The mash potatoes and bone in pork chop was prepared perfect. Perfect place before a show. Will definitely dine here again.

We had no reservations so there was a 2 hours wait !!! Ambience is on a very dim lighting dining experience to get that elegant vibe !! Stellar service from Lorenzo and Juan from the time we got seated till the end of our scrumptious dinner!! Had Lobster Papardelle Pasta which was served with several large pieces of lobster meat ! Just disappointed that I bit into one piece that had a speck of shell !!! Shared a delectable tender 16 oz Ribeye Steak which was cook to perfection!! The Filet Mignon drizzled with red wine glaze was heavenly flavorful and meat was tender!!! Appetizing Littleneck Clams served in white wine sauce , herbed butter, garlic and lemon was out of this world!!! Dipping the sourdough bread into the sauce was heavenly delicious plus the tender clams were NOT earthy and grainy at all like other restaurants!!!! Will surely come back and try other dishes on the menu !!! Took 1 star out for the crunchy shell I bit with my lobster meat!!!

After watching a Cirque show, we decided to get some late night eats and this spot was still open! We got seated a little after midnight and there was no wait! Complimentary bread and butter was given and my friend ordered a cocktail. My other friend and I weren't too hungry, so we decided to share a filet with the Brandy peppercorn sauce, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The food was very tasty and this steakhouse was dark and moody. For dessert, I chose the giant cookie skillet. I liked that it had a Happy Birthday imprinted on a piece of chocolate. Every loved it, even the one that was hesitant about a "cookie."

Flew into Vegas with my partner and wanted to go check out this steakhouse for a while as it was on her places to check out. We got a late reservation around 12:30 am, as they have happy hour prices at this time, which I found pretty amazing. We got in, and there was no wait. A lot of people were already seated, but our table was ready (thank you reservations!) and we got seated quickly. We both tried some of their cocktails and enjoyed them (forgot to take photos), and of course, we wanted to try their main menu items. We got a Rib-eye cooked medium rare, and Linguine & Clams. Both of the meals came out fairly quickly, and both were delicious! The Rib-eye was cooked perfectly, and the Linguine & Clams was a stellar complement. I guess you could say our version of surf and turf!! Overall, a great place with a great happy hour menu selection, and the drinks were superb!

Herbs & Rye Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Herbs & Rye

    When is happy hour?

Happy Hour now runs from opening to close. Despite formerly having set hours, it is now all the time with the exception of special occasions such as Valentine's Day etc where only full price menu is offered.

Are cocktails also half off during HH?

    Not really

    Is there a waitlist?

No, there is not. They require reservations for dinner, and they are several months out right now. Good luck! I believe they do take walk-ins at the bar, but there is quite a line for that.

    Do you need a reservation?

Yes for May 6th at 6:30

What time does the happy hour end? We have reservations for 7pm and really want to try the steak and happy hour appetizers.

5 to 8pm and Reverse Happy Hour 12mid to 3am, with the last seating at 2:30am. I was just there last week for Reverse Happy Hour at midnight. Great steaks and drinks. I really enjoyed my Old Fashioned!

When and what are Happy Hour specials?

Currently, happy hour is all day everyday. The specially marked items on the menu indicate the half price. It's a red circle type of icon on the menu images. Several steaks, couple pastas, pork chop, and couple apps.

    Do they take walk ins?

Yes but it's a long wait. If u make reservations and u change the amount of people u will have to wait until a larger table opens up. It's pretty tight inside.

    Are these prime cuts?

Yes. HH prices include prime cuts.

    When is happy hour?

It's always happy hour. They've changed from what they used to do. This is amazing value!

Is the restaurant side Kids friendly?

    Yes, it's family friendly.

    What is your Corkage fee?

They do have a fee, $50

    What time is happy hour?

    Open to close!

When is happy hour on Mondays?

They are currently offering happy hour all day every day that they are open.

Can you bring you own wine? Cork fee how much?

    The fee is $50

Can you eat at the bar?

Heck yes! one of the best seats

    What time is Happy Hour?

As of right now the happy hour is from 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. till further notice

Do they have a corkage fee? Are reservations required?

Not sure the corkage fee, but get a reservation so you don’t have to wait for a bar spot to open.

Is the happy hour prices on the menu already reflected OR is it minus 50% off the price on the menu Example: if the filet miñon is $54, is it minus half of THAT PRICE ? will it be $27? I do mean the items with 2 red stars of course

Correct half off the price that's on the menu, great deal!

    When is happy hour?

Visited recently (August 2024) and was told happy hour prices are now honored all day

    Can you make reservations?

It had watermelon, flavoring watermelon squares and watermelon flavored Red Bull. I ordered Diet Coke and the first one was horrible. It tasted like it was mixed with something. She was kind enough to pour it out and bring me another one, it unfortunately also had some weird kind of taste. I recommend this place do a deep cleaning. The bar smelled like hot melted metal. The the staff here had no personality whatsoever and was borderline rude and not taking care of the customers. It was a very quiet day and we should've been served with a smile and better attitude. Sorry, this place missed the Mark.

Our waitress was super friendly and really encouraged us to try some things because we really weren't sure about the menu. She was super attentive and we really appreciated that. The reason I'm giving this a three star review (and I feel bad doing so) is because I genuinely hated the drinks. Like viscerally hated. The menu really was a struggle as someone who's a gin drinker. There wasn't a lot on the menu which I'm often used to, but the drinks were either cloyingly sweet or incredibly tart and bitter. There seems to lack of balance and there were a lot of really weird flavors that really didn't seem to go together. Now I can't speak on every single drink on the menu, but I did try a couple that are either premixed or on tap and I really struggled with them. I was excited about the ginger drink, and I was given a taste of their homemade ginger beer, and it felt like it was going to burn a hole through my stomach. Which is typically not my reaction to anything gender flavored. I just think the balance of flavors are not quite right and so certain things overpowered other flavors. I ended up really not wanting anything on the menu because everything was so rum based and I really don't like rum, so they offered to make me a cocktail with some flavors that I liked. They told me they had passionfruit, which I was really excited about. It usually is a really nice combination of sweet but not too sweet and good fruity flavor. I had a passionfruit gin drink made, and it was absolutely gorgeous coming out. Unfortunately, what I didn't know was that the passionfruit that they have is on the very sour and tart side (contained by a staff member later), which has never been my experience with passionfruit in the past. One of the things that I told the waitress was that I really don't like sour. I like citrus but not something that is so overly sour that it tastes like I'm eating a warhead. And the drink that was made for me had both lemon and this really tart passionfruit to the point all I could taste was this awful sour flavor. I felt bad and drank it and was not about to ask it off the bill because they were so kind about everything. The drink ended up only being nine dollars and I genuinely wonder if they undercharged me, but I felt a lot better that that's all I paid for it. Aesthetically it was beautiful, but it tasted horrible. I tried my friends drink, which was a play on a margarita with Mezcal, and that was also incredibly bitter and sour. I'm not someone who needs disgustingly sweet drinks, hence me not liking rum, but I do need a balance of sweetness with the other flavors. My friend thought her drink was OK, but she said she wouldn't order it again. I would definitely give this location another shot if I could figure out a drink that would work, but it seems their drinks either are very sour or very sweet and I'm hoping that at some point they will be able to find a good balance between the two.

The bartenders were super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. They have a variety of specialty cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. What's awesome is that ALL their cocktails can be made without alcohol--perfect for anyone in the mood for a fun drink without the buzz! I tried the *Meowjito* and the *Happle Juice*--and both were amazing! The *Meowjito* was so minty and fruity, especially with the guava juice. I got it nonalcoholic, and it was refreshing. Plus, the color-changing cup was a fun touch and it's yours to take home as a souvenir! The *Happle Juice* was next-level. It came with a flower bud that made your tongue tingle when you ate it--such a trippy and unique experience! It feels like having the "pins and needles" sensation on your tongue. The vodka in it was pretty strong, so it packs a punch, but the flavor and sensory experience was worth it. Overall, Datamosh is a super fun, quirky bar with delicious drinks, great vibes, and a cool atmosphere. Definitely check it out while you're at Omegamart!

What a nice surprise. I just happened to be looking for places to take my husband on his birthday…read moreand came across The Alchemist. It checked all the boxes: high reviews, off the strip, craft cocktail offerings. When we got there the bar was relatively empty but it was a Wednesday evening. The staff was very attentive throughout the night. The menu wasn't very large but we were able to find a couple things in addition to drinks that we wanted to try. We shared the Vietnamese meatballs for appetizer which were a really good size and you really only needed 2. For entree we ordered the Lomo Saltado. The beef was lean and tender. The sauce was so good and flavorful. For drinks I got the lychee bloom. From first sip, I was a huge fan. Sweet and didn't lack any lychee taste. The presentation was also beautiful. My husband ordered the Philosopher's rum which he really enjoyed. The bartender was also trying out a new recipe of a key lime cocktail which is one of my husbands favorites. He loved the cocktail so much he ordered a second. We already frequent Chinatown, but this will definitely be added to our regular rotation. We're planning a trip back already to try more drinks and menu items.

Emmie was our server. She was impeccable with her friendliness and amazing service. Her attention and care throughout our dining was top-notch. Thank you Emmie! Shared parking with other biz within plaza are available right up front of the restaurant. Ambiance inside was beautifully decorated with a cozy feel. Menu options were abundant. Despite of the selections, we usually go with our go-tos. We couldn't ask for a better meal. Everything was delish with a few exceptions. 1. Panang Curry lunch special that comes with soup, salad, wonton, and rice - taste and flavor were just okay, but portions were quite adequate 2. Baa Mee Hang - amazingly tasty, but portions were small 3. Papaya Salad with shrimp - wonderfully put together with fresh quality ingredients, tasted great with mild spice made just right, it comes with 4 huge shrimps, wished it came with 6 huge shrimps 4. Pad Thai with chicken - one of the best dishes! SO GOOD!! 5. Pad Woon Sen with chicken - I originally asked for seafood, but got chicken instead which was fine. Glass noodles became mushy towards the end. They need to use a different brand of glass noodles that's a bit firmer. 7. Stuffed Chicken Wings - surprisingly good, love the crispiness of the skin, seasoning was quite flavorful, came with 2 wings, 3 wings would have been better 8. Thai Iced Tea - PERFECT! Must get every time. 9. Thai Iced Coffee - good, not too sweet 10. Coconut Cream Ice Cream - a must get delectable dessert to end our meal, SO YUMMY! Each dish averaged about $20+ or so. Bill came and it was a whopping $140+ before tip. After tip, it was $170.00 out the door. Yes, big delicious meals come with a price! It's always well worth it. Highly recommend Weera Thai!

Marisa Cocina & Cocktails is the place to be in Las Vegas for brunch/food in general…read more Food: chicken and French toast, chicken and waffles, eggs, and the hot sausage was really tasty and seasoned. The margaritas were strong and so good. Service: the service was average as the place was packed. However our waiter made sure we were good in his section. They do need more waiters due to the extreme business of the resturant. Ambiance: the place is fire, energetic, lively, and full of fun. It's spacious with a live DJ keeping the music and vibez going! There's an area for pictures including 360 photo booth etc. My overall score is 4.5/5.0 will be back for sure!!! Score would've been higher if the service was quicker.

Mariposa Brunch - Las Vegas…read more If you're looking for a brunch spot with great energy, Mariposa definitely delivers. The vibe was amazing! There was a live DJ, a hype man keeping the crowd engaged, and an overall fun atmosphere that made it feel like a party. The food was delicious--think soul food brunch with flavorful dishes--and the drinks were just as good. My biggest piece of advice: make a reservation. If you don't have one, be prepared to wait. We were initially told the wait would be about 45 minutes, but after waiting that long, we were told we still had to wait until all guests with reservations had been seated. Since reservations kept arriving, it felt like we might never get a table. After speaking with management and going back and forth, we were finally seated after about an hour. Once seated, it also took a while for our food to arrive, but the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience made it worth it. Just know that Mariposa is off the Las Vegas Strip, so you'll need to venture away from the Strip to get there. Overall, if you make a reservation ahead of time, you'll likely have a much smoother experience. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are absolutely worth checking out.

It has a garage/automotive themed bar with extensive spirits selection and plenty of tvs for people that watch sports. They also had a few karaoke rooms we saw off to the sides, but didn't have a chance to check them out. The staff greeted us upon arrival and gave us a drink and food menu. Since we were not really hungry, we ended up splitting an order of mixed order of musubis--1 spam and 1 Portuguese sausage. We also got a couple of cocktails: Penicillin and Carajillo (with an extra shot of blanco tequila). The food came out immediately and was fresh and tender/juicy and flavorful. The drinks were made in front of us and the bartender took care to make them with the appropriate garnishes--ginger for the penicillin and an added orange peel for the carajillo. I also loved the branded P on the block of ice. Thought it was a nice touch. The bartender apologized for the lack of fresh espresso when it came to the Carajillo cocktail, but I honestly thought it was super tasty. They have a varied food selection, but we were only wanting something small to snack on, and these items were perfect. Prices were not astronomical, but this was definitely a bit more of an elevated experience. Service was excellent and the spirits selection (we perused the backbar and spirits list), which warrants a return visit. I also want a chance to check out the rest of the food menu in the future. Definitely will be back when we are in the area due to the great service and amazing selections available.
