By far, one of the absolute coolest bars I have ever been to. It was so cool to see the owners actually being the ones to run it, too. This bar is located in DTLV arts district and is in good company by the bars nearby. It's definitely a spot for whiskey drinkers for sure. We were greeted by a nice woman who found us a spot for us to enjoy even tho it was busy. We found out later she was one of the owners! I wish I got her name, because she was so nice and friendly and joked around with us and even put up with my husband making dumb jokes to her haha. She was also SOOO knowledgable when we asked her questions about what we should order and she was so patient with us. My friend and coworker is a huge whiskey guy, so he was geeking out about it the entire experience. Along the walls in a glass casing, he was pointing out all the rare Japanese whiskey. I found out that it was the owners' collective collection from years and years. SO COOL! I ordered the bee's knees which had gin in it, not whiskey, and even that was delicious. My husband got the old fashioned and said it was the best old fashioned he had ever had. My friend did a an entire whiskey flight tasting. We all really enjoyed this experience here and I highly recommend stopping in. Such a great spot to grab a cocktail that is higher quality without paying a higher quality price.

super chill bar! family reccomendation but i thoroughly enjoyed my chuhai and was surprised since everything on the menu seemed pretty whiskey focused. the chuhai was refreshing and not incredibly sweet. my boyfriends highball was incredibly smokey, which was not to my personal taste but my other family liked it. service was decent, short and sweet. did not stay too long since the waitress asked if we were going to head out soon since we had been there maybe almost two hours and a line had been building up.

This place is so cool! I've gone out to Arts District twice and both times, Bar Ginza was a stop for us. I am not a whiskey connoisseur or anything but it's so cool that they have ALL kinds of Japanese whiskey here. For those of US that don't want to drink straight whiskey, they also have a cocktail menu. I love that the place is so ... chill. There's not much I can really say about this place since they run on their extensive whiskey list and do not serve any food. The bartender is always very friendly and knowledgeable. He's very attentive so you are covered at the bar! I haven't been when this place is bustling yet so not sure how it is when they are busy. Definitely a chill place.. not a "let the crazy Vegas night begin" type of scene.

Take a trip to Japan at Bar Ginza! This is one of the coolest bars in downtown. The entrance is just a very non-suspecting door, but as soon as you walk in it, transfers you into a whole new dimension where Japanese artwork and artifacts are displayed for everyone. They have three main TVs at the bar, all playing Japanese anime or kickboxing. The seating area is a small quaint 10 table space. They have a large variety of Japanese whiskeys and sake. The drink menu is well put together with an in-depth descriptions of Japanese theme drinks. I went with the bees knees and it was such a flavorful cocktail. I hope to go back soon one day.

Vast Japanese whiskey collection and knowledge. Great cocktail concoctions and service by one of the owners himself. Quaint and intimate bar setting. Nice addition to the hip Arts District.

This is very quaint & demure spot. Very polite and mindful. I'm definitely coming back here. I love that it's not as busy, although we did come on a Thursday night. However, the server was soooo professional, cute and polite and friendly. She recommended drinks to us. We got the Bee's Knees and it was soooo good. We split it into shots. I'm definitely coming back here to hangout with good company! And to try the rest of the drinks!

Love this place. The bartender is the perfect bartender. Very educational and entertaining. Although I'm a Scotch guy and this place is mostly about bourbon I had a lot of fun and also learned about Bourbon and Vodka valuables intel. The setting is also great in the container park. Arts district.

Mmmm the best whiskey sour in town. Josh is an absolute gem of bartenders. Great company, good vibes, comfy seats.

Fantastic whisky bar in Vegas that you must try! Local owned, excellent service, and even better drinks. I had the Tokyo Sling and my boyfriend who is an old fashion connoisseur said it one of the best he's ever had. Please give this locals spot a try!

I have been hearing about this place for a while and finally had the chance to come and check it out. Fantastic cocktail and a great selecrion of whisky. Chichibu whisky has barely come to the US, but it is a fantastic brand and highly sought after by drinkers and collectors. Large selection of beer, bourbon and scotch. Old rip van winkle and a thomas handy sazerac btac caught my eye as well. Really great prices to be able to taste something very rare! The place is family run and the owners have been in Las Vegas for a long time! I highly recommend stopping in for a drink.

Finally a Japanese inspired whiskey bar at the arts district of Vegas! Found out about this spot from a friend who posted on his socials and I couldn't be any happier to check it out! When we walked in, we were greeted right away and we decided to take a seat at the bar. My boyfriend and I were amazed with the selections of beer and whiskeys. If you're not a whiskey drinker, they also have other alternatives like gin, vodka, etc. if you ever had hitachino beers, they have em there! Along with the sake made from them as well. My boyfriend and I ordered a hitachino ipa to share. I got the Japanese old fashioned and he got the bourbon highball. The bartender told us they make the circular ice in house. Carving and all. Amazing detail to it. We saw the bartender pouring what it appeared to be tastings so we also both decided to order yamazaki 12 year .5oz and nikka aroma .5oz. AMAZING. We both decided that this is our go to spot every time we are at downtown. We loved the service and loved the selection of drinks. The prices were really good too. Great atmosphere. Can't wait to head back already!

Downtown has done a ton of work revitalizing and making it a destination of sorts... So when you plan a night for dinner and drinks it is always an option. We decided to grab dinner and bar hop and we ended up hitting Bar Ginza twice in the same night. Why would you ever go to a bar twice in one night you may ask, well that is simple. Quality, quality and quality. The attention and care put into the preparation of the cocktails and what goes into them was stellar. The ice is shipped in from Japan and broke down by hand to the sizes needed. Not only did the cocktails have amazing Japanese ice the cocktails were expertly crafted by Joshua who knocked every cocktail out of the park. Lastly the selection of bourbon on and whiskeys was easily one of the best in Vegas and not only that but the cost for the pours was extremely reasonable. Honestly, we will be back to Bar Ginza and we will also make this one of those must stop spots when we have guests in town.

I want to preface this review with the fact that Bar Ginza is new and I want them to be successful. That being said, our experience was pretty subpar. We went in on a Friday night and they were about half full with one server and one bartender. Their menu is extremely basic cocktails, yet our drinks took almost 30 minutes to arrive. Again, one server and one bartender and they did get busier as we sat there. The server was lovely but gave us the basic cocktail menu with a spirit menu "on demand " I'm not sure if that's basic etiquette there or if we might not have looked like spirit experts, but we asked for the spirit menu and ordered a few of their options. Their cocktails were great, and the spirits are great. I think the concept is wonderful but I do hope they expand a bit in their cocktail options and add a server.

But over the last year, I have discovered I like the taste of whiskey! Call it age....call it a more advanced palate....whatever you call it....mama likes! I never want to do things without educating myself, so what is a lady to do? Go to a class of course! Seriously....if I could have taken these classes in college....I would have been class Valedictorian! First of all JD was so accommodating, we had a change in our schedule and he came in on an unscheduled night so we could have the class before leaving early the next morning. The Whiskey Attic is located about a 10 minute drive off the strip in a quiet more industrial area. I like to point these things out because I like to know what to expect when driving to unknown areas. We took an Uber and it was easy to get a car to and from the location. JD greeted us at the door and right away we picked up on his brilliance about everything from sports, history and Whiskey of course! Because we were the only two there for this course it was a nice date night but honestly this would have been fun to do as a party, business ice breaker, or just something different. We did the introduction course, and not only did we learn about whiskey but wines, beers, anything you could want to know. And because The Whiskey Attic isn't trying to sell you product, you get to learn about all varieties, countries, and regions without being pushed to a particular brand. JD walked us through how to taste whiskey and how to drink it! After our class, JD asked us a series of questions and chose a selection of 6 brands he though we would like (the place is beautifully full of whiskey and JD knows where every bottle is) and we commenced tasting his selections! He nailed my tastes down to a tee and I enjoyed every one of the sample! We definitely want to go to the more advanced class next time we are in Las Vegas. I feel much more confident about ordering whiskey when I am out and about knowing what I like because of this class! Loved meeting JD and am looking forward to our next visit!

But let's get straight to the issue- the HOSPITALITY! I don't like being negative- I want local businesses to thrive and reach more people, but I need to add this bit of criticism- Lately, coming here feels like you're rolling the dice- and going out to eat and being treated well shouldn't have to feel like a gamble. When I dine here, I don't feel welcome. The bartenders make it clear that they cater to some regulars more than others. It takes the bartender half an hour to get us started with drinks and a menu to look at the food. It's crazy- I come here so often know some of this establishment's staff by name now and yet, I'm met with this recent disservice- The other night I arrive here with my girlfriend to grab some food around 1 am. I see the bartender, Ryan, zooming around, refilling beer and shots, going in and out of the kitchen. It's not that busy of a Friday night- maybe a handful of couples and groups all sitting at the bar. He passed SEVERAL times by me, no acknowledgement, no "Hey, bear with me, I'll be right with ya." 1:30. He finally comes to us apologizing, gets us started on drinks and hands us the menu. We take a couple of minutes to decide. He stands around by the Pos and talks to another bartender (Andrew I think?), who came from the kitchen, then immediately left. Another 10-15 minutes pass. By this point, I was wondering if I should just walk out. Finally, Ryan comes to take our orders. Typically, a server or bartender leads the conversation, right? I'm sure you hear things like "what can I get started for you," or "how would you like your eggs cooked" or "how would you like your Steak cooked" - You've all heard those before, right? Well- nothing. No cue. No asking anything. It felt awkward. Uncomfortable. Unwelcoming. I don't even know if he was paying attention. At one point, it was ME who was the one asking my girlfriend "How do you want your eggs cooked?" when she asked to get the Steak and Eggs because there was ZERO response coming from our bartender to anything we said. The energy felt COMPLETELY off, so I just asked then and there for the check and left off to grab some Cane's instead. An absolutely dismal experience. I don't like making my reviews about me, but I felt like I needed to explain exactly why I'm upset about my recent visits here so anyone reading this can better understand instead of just reading a vague mention of how rude the staff was. Let's get to the Good Bar Bites I recommend if you do come here (maybe day time could give you a different experience): WSKY Burger- I recommend a medium on the patty! Very juicy- the crunch of the onion rings and candied bacon- One of my favorite burgers! Steakhouse sliders- tasty and sharable mini burgers! Although- I need some clarification- Can modifications be made to this dish? One day, while ordering over the phone, a bartender named Zach told me I cannot add an extra slider (I wanted 4 sliders instead of just the 3 that come on the order), I'd have to purchase two whole orders if I wanted more. What's this about? I've never had that issue before, so just curious. Flatbread Pizza- of course pizza is always awesome to munch on. The crunch on the flatbread is so satisfying I honestly don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon. It sucks. The bar looks beautiful, the food is delicious. But why have I been treated like an outsider lately? It's not worth going to a place, even if it has good food, if you're not going to be treated well.

TLDR: all it takes is one employee to ruin a supposed premier experience, expensive prices don't…read morehelp it either Well if your a cigar person you always hear about the "high end" lounges in Vegas. So when in Rome (Caesars Palace, pun intended) you try it out. Now I was expecting some high prices but good gravy it's expensive in here! And knowing what prices are outside of here (we not talking high end sticks) the markup is insane (ex: padron 2000 sells for 14-16 back home it's 65 DOLLARS here!!!!!!) So I find a couple of sticks I can stomach the price and after ringing out with the guy there that's where the customer service took a nose dive. On top of everything else it's kinda tight in here and while my best friend was trying to find somewhere for us to sit I was getting the sticks. I meet him at and he's telling me about all these reserved plaques for all of these open seats nobody is around. So while we're trying to figure it out this waitress shows up and he tells her we're trying to find a seat. Her only response was how many in your party. I explain to her about some seats right next to where we were standing: then she raises her voice and says the same thing: how many in your party. I say 2, she starts looking around not even motioning us to follow her but we assumed and we sit at these chairs. Now she leaves, again not saying anything to us and I notice there wasn't an ashtray at our table but there was one right next to us that nobody was sitting at. It's pretty common at a lounge to grab an ashtray if needed so as I'm grabbing it and putting it on our table here she comes with a ashtray and flatly says "honey you gonna have some patience" as she's sits the tray down and I put it back over. Now my best friend is getting hip to the attitude we're getting as she says I'll get you guys a drink menu.....I'm like I'm trying to figure out what we did to get this attitude. She comes back, takes our orders and somewhat promptly brings our drinks to us. Now my back is to the wall so I can see her going to everyone around us taking their orders and slightly cutting her eyes at us. She only came back once to ask if we wanted anything which at that point we said we're good. So a while later we're looking for her to come around so we can get the check, again she's floating around everywhere else to which I had to flag her down for our check, paid and got out of there. Ironically, we walk over to Paris Casino and they had a Montecristo Lounge there too: spacious got instantly greeted, same high prices but totally different vibe there. So whenever I'm back we'll give it a try
