Came searching for whisky and this place went above and beyond my expectation!! My boyfriend is a big whisky guy (hence our visit) and I'm a whisky noob but JD was welcoming, enlightening, and so sociable it took my worries about what I was drinking away. Not only that but the selections JD presented for us were great! He was super knowledgeable and engaging, so we didn't even notice how much time had passed. Would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND for a stop off the strip. We got a little lost on the way because there was construction at the time and we came in the evening. Now we have some new selections to explore back home.

This was an awesome experience from start to finish. JD is a master of his craft and really does a great job curating the tastings to the people in the room. Rather than a brick and mortar tasting experience, JD came to our hotel suite and spent 2 hours talking about the history of whisky, the different styles, and did 8 different whiskeys based on each of our own separate likes and palates. This was worth every penny and I will be doing it again in the future. JD's mom is also too hard on her son, but that's what Jewish mothers do. Do this next time you're in vegas.

Simply amazing. This was a recommendation by a good friend and I am so glad I listened to him! Just some basics for those that are interested: - Make reservations. Walk ins are not allowed, although if you show up when no one is there and make a 'reservation' they might be able to squeeze you in. - This isn't a bar or a store, this is an actual educational experience. You will learn about whisky and the history behind it. - You can do either 5 tastings or 10 tastings, and afterwards you can taste more/other kinds, but it will be an additional cost. - The cost per person for the 5 tastings is $75 - If you go with someone that is not drinking, they will still be required to pay $50 for the educational fee. - The guy we had, JP, is a wealth of knowledge and was incredibly awesome. Take advantage of his extensive background and ask lots of questions. You will learn a lot. - Have a designated driver or an Uber! Overall, I would go back in a heartbeat. There was a couple with us in our tasting that had been there before, so JP switched up that guys tasting so he didn't try something for a second time. This is a class act establishment and I loved every minute of it.

We had such a great experience! I really learned so much! Things I thought I knew, that I didn't know and things I thought were right that were wrong! Great class, thanks JD! He was great! I highly recommend taking a tasting class here!

I came here upon the recommendation of a friend who said Adam (the owner) taught him how to taste whisky. So I signed both my hubby and I to the high roller experience for whisky tasting. We were led up a attic into a room full of whisky bottles from different countries of different kinds. This was kinda cool. JD and not Adam did the tour for us. He told a story about the history of taste, and gave us a brief history of the prohibition era. Interesting and cool story to hear. He also told us about some winery in pahrump where we could bottle our own wine with our own label which i thought was something I wanted to check out, but I couldn't find anything of the sort on the internet that did that. But i digress.. We were given 10 whisky's; some sweet, some peaty, some "smokey" and all different types. It was interesting and super cool to learn this new technique of tasting whisky, and it seems i got drunk after a couple of sips. My hubby who normally can tolerate his whisky had also had enough after the first round of tastings. It was a cool experience, but I dont think i would do it again. Thanks Freaking frog and Whisky attic for a unique experience, it was very educational!

Boy did I learn so much from this place. It was well worth the $60 we paid for the 7 pour flight Whiskey tasting class. Chad, the instructor was very knowledgeable and down to earth. Never did I feel judged for being ignorant and all my life drinking Johnny Walker Black and Blue the wrong way. If you are ever in Las Vegas, do yourself a favor and stop by. It's like discovering new colors! Once you learn the tasting technique, you can apply it to all hard liqour. I now have a better ability to make a decision whether I like a certain alcohol or not! The room is amazing too! Can't wait to go back! After your tasting experience, you can head downstairs, catch one of the millions of beer they serve, and catch a live band. Just my kind of place!

I've been a bourbon drinker for 12 years and I still managed to learn new things. Went with a group of 5 and we had our own tasting. Highly recommended if you're in Vegas and want to try something different.

    What an AMAZING experience!

One of the best parts about this place is that they have live music almost every night, which is awesome. We went on a night when a cover band was playing, and they were fantastic. The venue itself isn't very big, featuring a small stage and a really intimate environment. Depending on your vibe, you can reserve tables, hang out in the VIP seating area, or just stand around the floor and enjoy the live band performing. The energy was upbeat, and the place was already packed and buzzing even as early as 9 PM. My only real complaint was that the music was incredibly loud. It is turned up so high that you absolutely cannot have a conversation with anyone in there without screaming, which is something to keep in mind if you're looking to chat. Overall, it is a great entertainment place with a fantastic vibe. If you want a lively spot on the Strip with great music, this is definitely worth checking out!

Decided they would get a night on the town with a show, dinner while wife and I had our fun. Dinner, show (Absinthe) capping with our stop at the Barbershop. I love whisky/bourbon. I love speakeasys. I love live music. Check, Check, Check. So now it's about 11 pm after dinner and the show and the walk. Passed the ski lodge speakeasy with just a few people waiting. Got to barbershop and the line was 20 deep. Ruh Roh. It did end up being 40 minutes wait but we made friends in line (ended up all hanging out inside). We almost gave up to back to ski lodge but decided to not be quitters....so glad we stayed. Love the decor. It was loud (not a biggie) so we got some great ol fashioneds at the bar, then inched our way to center dance floor where we didn't stop dancing to the band til 1 pm when they stopped.....we had so much fun, we (and others) wanted them to keep playing. It did cost me $25 cover (wife was free). I was ok with this. i think before 9 it's free to get in. Amazing night.

Frankie's Uptown is known as a Steelers gathering spot, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for: energetic, welcoming, and a great place to catch a game. I ordered the stromboli, and I'm convinced it turned my entire day around. I walked in hungry and left wondering if I should cancel my dinner plans for the rest of the week because nothing was going to top it. Our server was the perfect combination of sweet and sassy--quick with a smile, quick with a comeback, and she made our table of six feel like regulars. Great service can make a meal memorable, and she absolutely did. Speaking of our group... all six of us left happy, which may be the restaurant equivalent of witnessing a solar eclipse. Getting six people to agree on anything is a miracle, but Frankie's pulled it off. Outside that, which has absolutely nothing to do with the venue, other than they have giant windows with clear views of the strip, I'm sure fireworks here are fun. I enjoyed some light bites. I had four crispy tacos with shredded beef. They were insanely tiny, like you can wrap your hand around the taco. Certainly Tapas style, yet, extremely delicious. The shell was the crispiest thing I've had lately. My husband ordered the Steak frites. It came with thick cut fries and served with chimichurri sauce. Everything was delicious, The steal was prepared exactly as ordered and it was seasoned to perfection. The also shared a Mezze plate with the couple that invited us. There was hummus, and two other dips, pita, grilled veggies, pickles, and lots to munch on. I actually didn't partake in any of that, but it looked well thought out. We all tried a variety of drinks. I had a mojito with my tacos and prior to that I enjoyed the Aperol something or other Martini. It was frothy and slightly sweet. Truly delightful. Mojito was a mojito and well prepared. There were lychee martinis, passion fruit mezcal that my husband had, and well...maybe I can't remember because I had too many drinks. The service is phenomenal. Better be at the price point of membership and otherwise. It was a chill night, no celebrities jumped out and surprised me other than the poodle on the toilet seat in the bathroom. Haha! The rudeness, the resting bitch face, the up and down was so rude. I don't think people are even this rude at Excalibur or even at the clubs in Las Vegas, especially when your a girl. This experience really turned me off. If her job is to keep people away from the Poodle Room she did a great job!
