I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered a ube-flavored cream puff shell now, as well as an option for ube-flavored cream filling. Of course, I chose that combo. The ube flavor definitely came through--at first, I mostly tasted white chocolate, but toward the end, the subtle ube notes emerged nicely. The cream filling was smooth and enjoyable. However, the cream puff shell itself was a bit stale and dry. We did pick them up around 6 PM, but I still think the store should find a way to keep their products fresh throughout the day. Overall, the cream puff was tasty, but I probably wouldn't buy it later in the day again. We also tried the dulce de leche cream puff, which turned out to be just a regular cream puff topped with a sticky caramel glaze - nothing particularly memorable there.
