It had been a long time since I last visited Humphry Slocombe, so I was excited to come back. I was greeted by the friendly staff, who were super patient and encouraged me to try as many flavors as I wanted. One flavor that caught my attention was the "Secret Breakfast," which was definitely an interesting and spontaneous choice, but I ended up going with the Toasted Sesame instead. The Toasted Sesame was delicious! It had the perfect amount of sweetness without being overwhelming, and the sesame flavor really stood out. Overall, it was a great way to end the night. Friendly service, unique flavors, and delicious ice cream.

Absolutely the worst ice cream ever. I had a hot fudge…read moresundae with hazelnuts strawberry ice cream, and Tahitian vanilla ice cream. It was completely tasteless. Hot fudge was not hot fudge at best it was flavorless chocolate syrup. The Tahitian vanilla had absolutely no flavor of vanilla. It just tasted like cold milk fat. The strawberry had some flavor, but it didn't make up for the rest of the sundae. My better half had the Vietnamese coffee ice cream, which tasted more like coffee grounds than actual coffee. My son and his girlfriend had the Vietnamese coffee as well. We all ended up throwing the ice cream away. The server was very nice and doing the best she could do given a crowded Sunday. I think they have other locations, but I will avoid them as well. Worst ice cream we've ever had, sticking with Loard's ice cream from now on.

This was my first time visiting them again since the ownership change so it's been a minute. What I see here now is just depressing, not just because the place was empty, but it's now devoid of anything that felt like a spot someone would want to hangout at. No music, when I got in there was one person waiting for their food and nobody was even at the front counter for minutes before somebody finally came out from the back. Ordering is just through the kiosk now, which isn't a bad thing. The part that was really rough was the reason why I even came here; the boba. I got a regular milk tea which now they only have a single size. I miss the extra large size they used to have, but oh well. The next issue comes with how much the boba actually costs. They may have gotten rid of the extra large cup sizes, but they're still charging the almost the same amount for it in a much smaller cup. What a deal, right? And we get to the actual drink. When the person making the drink after receiving your order finishes within a minute of making it, it's never a good sign. Why is that? Well, they had premade jug of milk tea ready to pour out for your tasting pleasure. When you have a premade jug of milk tea, it's never a good sign. While I've had them at other places that have done this before, and it's ranged from bad to mediocre, the one here at Milk Tea Lab, now, was in a word, rancid. It was incredibly gross with absolutely no redeeming qualities to it. I generally try not to be so harsh, but this was really not it and I couldn't even finish the boba because of how bad the milk tea was. It's sad to see how big of a dropoff this spot has become compared to what it used to be. This isn't like when they first opened where there were only 2-3 boba spots right next to them. Now there's at least a handful of options within a few minutes away, and dozens of spots within a mile or two, and this is what they're pushing out? It's a shame but this Milk Tea Lab which was their starter store is no longer a place I would ever go back to for boba. It's time is now past with this new ownership.

Came in here on a Saturday, so it was super busy. Ordered a Taro milk tea with red bean and Boba…read more Before I ordered, I made sure that the lady behind the desk had oat, almond, or dairy free milk options. She must've misheard me when I said, oat milk, cause she started using whole milk after I ordered. I told her I have dairy sensitivities. And she said that is the only milk that she had. But this was after I paid for the drink... i've never had a problem at other locations with no other dairy options. ...there was also barely any Boba and half the drink was red bean. Very disappointed. I must've been fourth in line after a family, and three other customers were served before me. If you have dairy sensitivity, DO NOT come here. I do not recommend it. Probably not coming back here again.

I also ordered their salted butter rice crispy treat which I'm hooked on. It's buttery marshmallow good with a light crunch. The service is pretty quick even when there's a line outside. Staff works the line pretty fast. Ambiance is small with one bench only inside for sitting. Cold water is on table for customers. Parking is all meter parking in front, on the side, and in the back of the center too. We walk here as parking can be hard to find.

Amazing! They have…read moresuch unique flavors. There were many to choose from, and I'm so glad I overheard the other customers ahead of us saying that the vanilla salted almond toffee flavor was what they are known for. We ended up getting that flavor as one of our two. For our second flavor of two scoops, we ended up getting the marshmallow neapolitan. -Vanilla salted almond toffee: I can see what the other customers meant for "this is what they're known for." I love that the almond is candied/carmelized with toffee. It gives it a roasty flavor, which gives the flavor so much depth. The almond also gives a bit of crunch/texture, which makes this flavor so unique. -Marshmallow neapolitan: I'm not typically someone who likes marshmallows or goes for neapolitan, as I don't like super sweet and I don't like mixing flavors. You can definitely taste all 3 flavors--vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. The marshmallow doesn't make the ice cream as sweet as I would have thought, it really just adds the marshmallow texture. The ice cream is very thick and creamy. It doesn't melt too fast to meld all the flavors together (which I don't really like), and I really appreciate that the ice cream holds together so well! The gentleman helping us was very patient in letting us try several flavors. The shop had a more old time feel. There is a bench to sit on to eat for a bit, but no tables. Overall, I would totally come back to try their unique flavors!
