This is a small Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop in the Village Oaks Shopping Center in Martinez. It has a nice location in mall, and has a side parking lot. I was there around 5:30pm on a weekday. It was about 72*F, and the place filled up pretty quick with only 5 customers. The staff were fairly quick with the customer service, so the line moved pretty well. I asked for 1 scoop of Jamoca, and I was surprised at how small the serving was. But this location only charges $4.99 for 1 scoop in a cup, so I'm okay with the serving. Ice cream , normally this Baskin-Robbins is a favorite place to grab a cone or cup of ice cream. Today, 7/16/26, the ice cream was extremely soft, melting when the gal passed me the cone. I noticed that the freezers were all open, causing the sides to frost over, allowing the cold to escape & thus probably why my ice cream was so soft & melting when I got it. More than 3 occasions where the staff messes up smoothies/shakes. This girl right now added more milk to my already finished shake in the cup and stirred it with a spoon, it made it super milky and completely took away the strawberry flavor. Clearly the training standard for making blended drinks is not efficient, and it's super upsetting to have to ask a higher up to remake drinks multiple times. read more

How great is is when you can stop in for a pre-made cake or pie and the freezer has a wonderful selection? It's pretty great. The staff at this location was very kind and helpful in explaining the cake options and were even able to write on the cake if we wanted them to personalize. As a previous Baskin-Robbins team member, I know sometimes it's easy to want to get people in and out so you can work on cake and pie orders. This location made me feel like they were there and at my service. I was able to try any flavor requested and I appreciate the great customer service as it is very hard to find these days. Good Job! I love baskin Robbins and their Jamoca ice cream! This one is across the street from my job so I've come here often. Whenever I piss my sister off, I get he a mocha blast extra thick from this store and the kids are always nice. Especially now during Covid with all the new regulations. Recently I even found out that my friend Debbie who I play Pokémon go with owns this location which is pretty cool. They've been busy not only with the hot weather but also with the new Pokémon go sponsorship. People that play know lol. It can get pretty busy so sometimes I'll just drive around and wait til they slow down. It's too damn hot outside but I'm glad they're there. It really helps with the heat. I came in here for some ice cream. All the ice cream was frozen and creamy they also had sherbet. They had all the major flavors like strawberry chocolate and vanilla in stock. They also have frozen ice cream cakes that looked really really good. They had the cute little pink spoons for tasting. They also provided cups or cones. There are a lot of other places that I found that are better than 31 flavors, but you can't get a better ice cream cake than them. I like the aspect that when this place gets busy and the workers don't know who is next, its either fight to the death or don't get your ice cream. Its so small in there you cant even stand in any sort of line to make things easier. Most Baskin-Robbins are small so this isn't to much of a surprise. This one also seems a bit more dirty than other stores I have been to. My husband couldn't find any napkins. I think they were right where you pay but because its so cramped in there, unless your paying, good luck squeezing in there to get them. How can you not have napkins everywhere in an ice cream store? Plus its hot as hell out right now. Put some napkins out!!! The workers all seem to be 16 to 18 years old and the music choice is always some annoying dance/rap mix. Maybe this comes from being a boss in a retail store but someone needs to take charge at this place and get it into tip top shape. On a plus, the flavor of the month is SNICKERS!!!! Just got back from this local BR on a Friday night. The customer service here was excellent! The two young ladies working tonight were very nice and polite with all smiles! I came in spontaneously with my parents just cause, and we all had not been to the BR in a long time. I ended up trying a couple flavors and then ordered. Right now its TWO SCOOPS and you can get a waffle cone free with your order per cone/order (so we got 3 cones all with double scoops). The girl serving me gaves me a GIANT double scoop ice cream!! Felt like a kid in a candy shop holding this giant thing! Other customers came in and saw mine and were drooling over it, they ended up getting a double scoop as well! I had a great experience! I came in to order an Ice cream cake for my mom's birthday. The staff and the manager were very friendly and I asked if I wanted anything written on the cake. I asked him if I could have "Happy Birthday Mom!" written on the cake. he then took the cake from the freezer and brought it to the back where my request was being fulfilled. Meanwhile the 2 younger employees were asking me if I needed anything else. It was very hot that day so I decided to pick up 2 quarts of ice-cream in which they scooped up and packed it themselves. I was so impressed that I even ordered a cappuccino blast. Afterwards, the manager handed me the cake and I was ready to go! All in all, I would say that I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes! As a customer, I felt appreciated because the staff seemed eager to cater to my needs. Later that day, my family and I had the Ice Cream cake, and it was delicious! This Baskin-Robbins has gone under new management! I came here last weekend and the store looks better than it has ever been! Updated posters, newly plastered wallpaper, fresh paint (?), brighter lighting, polished everything. The couple that took over look very happy with the store and to my knowledge, at least one of them will be present from open to close- so I suspect customer service has been at its best delivery since. Well, that was the case for me! I walked in and was immediately greeted (major +). I walked up and down (it's been awhile since I've been overwhelmed with so many flavors other than the staple ones) looking for my favorite flavor: Very Berry Strawberry. It wasn't there (T___T)". However, three samples later, I asked if Very Berry Strawberry was discontinued, because my loyalty game be strong. And to my surprise, this B&R stores more flavors behind the counter! I ended up super satisfied with a sugar cone of my childhood flavor favorite #blessed. Personally, I didn't see any cases where the employees or managers were not engaging with the customers, which included me, my friends and another family, during my visit (another +). So hopefully the new management and this review will clarify the earlier reviews! Satisfying my sweet tooth w/ sweet service? I will definitely stop by again. I've been here once as a customer and it was good. Tonight I went in as a doordasher and was having problems with the order(on the doordash side). Rosie was such a great help the whole time! I was getting frustrated with doordash and Rosie understood and even tried to help me figure out the problem. I've always been a fan of Baskin Robbins so that is why this is a 3 star rating. I have only been to this location once and the first time I went there I look it it on Yelp to find the closest one, which was this once. I decided to call to see what time they closed because the hours weren't provided when i looked it up. The phone rang for about 2 minutes or more. I figured, they were really busy or they were closed - or they simple didn't want to answer the phone. My boyfriend and I decided to go anyway and it was on the corner across the street from McDonalds. There was plenty of parking so it is obvious that they weren't busy. Anyway, needless to say, they were open, even though they looked closed. The area was semi dark and sort of small. A couple of tables to sit down at inside only. The floor was sticky and dirty , I don't know if it is normally like this but it was nasty. There was two staff members, which didn't even greet us when we walked in, one of them was on their phone and changing the music station on the radio. The other was pretending to do something. We walked up to see what flavor ice cream they had, and they still didn't say anything. We stood around for about a minute or two and finally asked us if we were ready to order in a kind of annoyed way. We got our ice cream , paid and head out. I can't recall if they said thank you but at that point it didn't matter because the whole experience was ruined anyway.
