Cool downtown bar. Kinda divey feel without being a dive bar. Great beer selection as well as spirits. They had an outdoor area around back but didn't get there.

Oh my goodness. Just grab your bag, put on your shoes, and head to the Post. We walked in here around 1230 on a Saturday early afternoon after wandering away from Cadillac Square. Disclaimer: this is not your cheerful "welcome!" with a hostess stand type of place. This is your down home, hole in the wall, neighborhood bar that isn't full of fluff. The bartenders are real people. Our girl was hysterical and made me try a Bloody Mary (still gross!). Charcuterie was the perfect munchie board for watching the games.

Let me start of my saying, I had one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life here. I think it was the Italian club! Service was super friendly, and honest. Beer selection good and the overall place had a fun vibe! Prices fair too. Coming here every time I'm in Detroit!

New bar & night life spot!!! The Post Bar is owned by the same people who own the location in Plymouth. So far I've been to this bar last Thursday & Sunday (during a Lions game). It's located in the Skip. Was able to get a table before the Lions game but anticipate it getting busier when more people realize it's here. The servers were friendly & the drinks were strong. Did not try any of the food this time only because I came from brunch. *The drinks in my review were from the holiday cocktail list*

This was like a blast from the 90s past! We were hopping around and decided to go into the Post Bar. I was super excited because this was a hangout of mine in the 90s. Of course this isn't the same place, but it all felt so familiar! It was slammed for a Saturday afternoon. But it is March Madness and MSU was playing. It was a disappointing ending but still fun to watch. We enjoyed some of their tap beers and the food all looked very good. We would definitely come back. We had a great time.

Absolutely delicious food, even though the menu is a little limited. Highly recommend the prime rib sandwich and the sub hero sandwich! Service is friendly and the whole vibe is just a good time. This bar is located really close to the stadiums as well!

Post Bar in the Belt is a great space to grab a cocktail. The drinks are served up with efficiently with a smile from one of the many bartenders. It is refreshing to have such a large space in this area. We went in for one cocktail, but will definitely be back for more because our experience here was so pleasant! Be sure to check out this new location!

Great place to stop along a little tour of The Belt alleyway and of downtown Detroit! I was initially attracted to this spot due to its history- the original Post Bar's sign is hanging up inside and creates a fun glow. We were able to get a spot at the bar on a Saturday night at 6:30pm and it was just getting busy for the night! The Blood Orange Margarita was great, and my husband got an IPA. One unique aspect that the Post Bar is known for is the graffitied walls. They have a bucket of markers available so you can sign your name...or whatever you want :-)

Great new spot downtown! The service was great, kind and friendly bartenders. The food and drinks were great and promptly served. The bar is really beautiful and finally provides a fun, casual atmosphere in an area where all the new bars and restaurants are too trendy and dressy, the Post bar feels like a place where you can relax and get a beer and catch a game.

Bad Luck Bar is exactly the kind of place that makes you feel like you earned your cocktail before…read moreyou even order it. It is tucked away in an alley, and yes, the trash bins may briefly make you question your life choices. But once you spot the glass block window, you know you are in the right place. The second you walk in, the vibe completely changes. You are greeted by a friendly host, then brought into this tiny, dark, cozy little speakeasy that feels like it seats maybe 25 people total, including the bar. It is intimate in the best way, with a gorgeous liquor wall and a rolling ladder that makes the whole room feel dramatic without trying too hard. The drinks are the reason to come. They are creative, unusual, and genuinely unlike what you will find at a standard cocktail bar. Some of the spirit combinations sound like they should not work on paper, but somehow they absolutely do. The mixologists clearly know what they are doing, because every "wait, really?" ingredient pairing seems to turn into something balanced, interesting, and dangerously easy to appreciate. The only things to keep in mind are the size and the pricing. It can get busy quickly because it is so small, and cocktails can run anywhere from around $20 to over $100 depending on what you order. Not exactly a casual "oops, I had three" kind of place unless your wallet has been emotionally prepared. Bad Luck Bar is moody, memorable, and one of the more unique cocktail experiences in Detroit. It feels hidden, thoughtful, and just a little mischievous, which is exactly what a good speakeasy should be.

Please make a reservation! Our wait was about 30-40 mins so we walked to another spot to have a drink and wait. It's a cozy lux vibe with an upscale cocktail menu. This is not your normal tequila and soda okay! Know before you go! Visit their website and preview the drink options if you don't have experience with this style of bar. I ordered the Forgotten Blossom because all things lychee has been my thing lately. The drink looks like water but it is not! lol It's strong drink + having aperitif in it. The waiter was attentive and checked in on us consistently. We even received a complimentary shot after being seated and complimentary birthday shots for the birthday folks! I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I will be back real soon!

The bartenders are helpful with picking out drinks you may enjoy, and their drinks are fabulous! There is really something for everyone's palate on their menu. Kamper's is really all about the vibes. I took one look at the menu and cocktail list, and determed that we would be going somewhere else to eat afterwards, thinking, "this won't be a long visit at all." But oh was I pleasantly surprised. First round of cocktails set the tone and gave us the courage to go ahead and try some of the plates. We decided on the shrimp, pork belly and gorgonzola cheese ones. Absolutely delicious. So then we decided on round two of cocktails the plate of chips, avocado toast and another round of pork belly! Again, divine. Although I will admit, everything got dipped into the pork belly sauce. Was tempted to do a round three to try the highly recommended lobster rolls but decided to save something for the next visit because there will be one. They executed all the small plates exceptionally well. And the cocktails were top quality! Only complaint was the seats are very low to the ground. I'm short and my legs were aching. I can only imagine how uncomfortable those with normal legs feel after dining. BTW my daughter and her friends had a wonderful birthday celebration but ended up leaving us adults there because we were having such a good time!

I just left the Motor Bar where I ordered an Old Fashion. Price on menu is $15.00. I had 2 cocktails 2x$15=&30. When I asked for the check I noticed I was charged $34.00 . I brought it to the bartenders attention who said the LARGE ice cube is extra. I told her a proper old-fashioned is served with a large ice cube. A woman who appeared to be a manager behind the bar piped in overhearing the conversation. She said when you get a large ice cube, we give you extra bourbon and that's why it's more money. I found this to be pure BS but did not want to challenge her as there were a lot of people waiting for drinks. When my bartender returned to me, she said the drinks went up to $17 but " they they did not want to spend money to change the price on the menu." This is just wrong!!!!
