I called him and he was available to come out within a couple hours. When he got here and inspected the unit, he immediately identified the issue saying we had a bad capacitor. He had one on his truck and had it changed out in minutes and we again had working AC. I asked him to quote some more services and his fees were more than reasonable. Based on his repair service and recommendations he quoted, I believe him to be an honest professional. It was a 20 year-old water heater and the tank had worn out - so when Tyler came the next day around noon, there wasn't much to diagnose. He explained all our options and gave us a good price for a very good replacement. We said 'go!' and we had a new heater in about four hours. He also explained a few mistakes the previous installer had made with some of the plumbing (the reserve tank was on the wrong side of the valve and the plastic tubes were too close to the exhaust valve, which could have melted them). Anyway, Tyler was awesome - very professional, very proficient, very personable, and able to explain everything to someone who's definitely not a plumber. Can't recommend Dayco (and Tyler!) highly enough. Will definitely be calling again if we need anything else in the future.

To imply that the other firm did something against code or improper is really low. They actually…read moreidentified the leak (which was above ground at the connection) and showed it to me with the bubbles as opposed to your team that couldn't find it and just wanted to dig everything up for a ton of money. The way the generator line was installed was pulling sideways on the stack putting too much pressure on the connection over time. They went and got the correct pipe and fittings to bring the connection over further to eliminate the side pressure on the gas stack and thereby correct the problem. All done with correct materials and above ground.
