St. Arnold Art Car IPA

A great place to have a drink with friends or to make new ones. I've been here a couple times now and have never been disappointed. They have a good selection of local craft beers, bourbon and snack dishes. Lots of tv's so yo can catch a game, pool table and a patio deck to enjoy the night air. The service is spectacular. Everyone seems to enjoy their job and they take good care to keep your pints full and carry on a conversation too. I wouldn't come here just for food. Not that it's bad, only because the menu is light. Nachos, quesadillas et al. Nice to compliment a No Label Ridgeback, a pint of Guinness or the like. This is a good place to bring a group for the start or finish of a night of crawling or to use as a regular meeting hole for beer and conversation. I'm coming back.

Came here for "goodbye" HH with coworkers. Nice spot only if you are in that area, seriously I wouldn't drive even 10 minutes to get here if it wasn't for that. It's just a regular spot imo. Our party was most of the patrons that night. So if you're right around the corner and wanna be incognito...Public House is your go to place. Had drinks, mixed/bottle, good service. Plenty of apps to go around: fried mushrooms, deviled eggs (idk who the hell ordered that but it was pretty good), hot wings, irish nachos (really messy to eat and I didn't care for the chili), and someone ordered the shepherd's pie and said it was pretty good. They should really STOP making the marinara for the mozzarella sticks. It's absolutely disgusting! Don't bother....idk who told them it was good. Please go to the grocery supply warehouse quick cause y'all can't do it right. If you live or work over there, again TPH is cool spot; otherwise nothing fancy happening.

A great place to have a drink Relaxing atmosphere with live entertainment, great food quality, and daily specials in the middle of Cinco Ranch. The service has always been top notch. Thanks Lindsey!

Very cool place to come have a drink and sit at the bar. A few TV's scattered about. A good selection of local beers. They have no label beer on tap. The bartenders and employees have always been friendly. The bar food is decent, I like the fried pickles and jalapenos. The fried mushrooms are a winner as well. The Philly cheese steak was just average. Not a 5 star restaurant but solid bar food. I like that it wasn't a smokey bar, when you leave you don't have to worry about your clothes smelling of smoke. If you are in the area and want to have a beer and a bite to eat, this place to go.

These are the garlic butter wings we sent back. A bit undercooked for my taste

Me and my mom decide to try this place the other night on a whim to get a quick bite for dinner. It has the typical pub style decor and low lighting. For a Wednesday night it wss decenlty inhabited with a few groups. I have to say, it was pretty average. I'll list the pros first though because there were some good things about the place. Pros: 1) Our server (who I think was also the bartender) was very nice, attentive, and helpful. She definitely tried her best to make our dinner great. She even comped us for the chicken wings we didn't eat, which was gracious, because I dislike complaining about food in a restaurant having worked in several myself. Overall the service was very good, albeit on a slow night. 2) The pulled pork was tender and well seasoned. We got it on the street tacos and the porky (which I didn't try). The corn tortillas on the tacos were a bit dry but were helped by a cilantro flavored sour cream that was tasty. 3) The fries were very good and fresh. We got some with the porky sandwich we ordered to go and I sneaked a few. They are battered fries which I love and they were delicious. Now for the cons: 1) As I stated above, we had the chicken wings we ordered comped. I am a wing fanatic and I decided to try the garlic butter flavor, but I couldn't eat these. The size on them was good and there was plenty of meat, but apparently they bake their wings instead of frying them and they came out quite soggy except for a few crispy edges. I had to peel the soggy fat off of the wings to get to the meat. Not a fan of that at all. Also, the wings appeared to me to be slightly undercooked. Not raw, but you can see what I mean in the attached picture. As I said above they were gracious enough to take these off our ticket. Save yourself the trouble and order something else instead. 2) One reason I wanted to try the place was because on Yelp I saw a picture of their onion rings. To my dismay they told us they no longer serve onion rings but now only onion strings, so we tried them anyway, and they were typical onion straws, thin and greasy. I was disappointed because the big onion rings in the picture looked so good. 3) This isn't a terrible thing for a pub or bar type place but the menu is pretty small. There isn't a whole lot of choice. It would be great to see a place like this have nightly food specials that are more than sliders or whatever. Overall, it wasn't terrible but wasn't great either. I'd probably go back, but this time I'd get the pulled pork sandwich and fries. Hope this review helps

Best crawfish

Public House - Best Crawfish! So, this little gem of a spot has some of THE best crawfish I've ever had & I've been eating crawfish since I was young. Not that that makes me an expert but know what I like, and this place has incredibly, amazingly flavorful crawfish. With a perfect mix of spices such as garlic and citrus undertones, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. And on Fridays, they're only $6.99/lb.!

Do they allow dogs?

Yes, on the patio. Also, there's an excellent pet store just up the rd at Westheimer and Mason called EarthWise Pet. We usually take our pup for a bath over at EarthWise, then hang on the patio and grab a few beers on the way home.

Had the pleasure of checking out Public House, the new location for Burger Monstah, and was quite impressed with the bar itself.

Music bingo!! Yep, music bingo. Went there on Thursday night…read morefor it, and it was interesting. The audio system could've been improved, but otherwise, it was fun. Worth going if you're a fan of music to try it out. Now for the restaurant... overall a great experience with very nice servers. You can tell that it was a locals' spot filled with regulars, which is always a good sign. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the wings were tasty. Well done!

Visit was on a Friday December 5 at about noon, maybe a little after…read more Service was definitely one of the worst experiences I've ever had, and the food sure as heck didn't save them. Table of 4, waiter addressed us after about 10 minutes, got obviously upset when he figured out we weren't drinking alcohol, treated us poorly the entire rest of the visit (when he actually deigned to stop by). Ordered "hand battered" pickles, which is a lie, these came directly out of the freezer, had absolutely no flavor at all, and were not served with the dressing specified on the menu. He literally dropped them and ran. I had to go the service counter to get us napkins so we could try the food, and we had to flag him down to ask for the accompaniment. When confronted, he literally said "it doesn't come with anything", we replied that the menu said it did, and he insisted that he was correct. So, he was asked for ranch dressing (which is what the menu states was supposed to be served with it), and he stated, "oh, we don't have any of that, we've been out for weeks". REALLY? He just decided he didn't like us, so he treated us like crap. Burger ordered, listed on menu as 1/2 lb., might have been 5 ounces maximum and had no flavor at all. All of just picked at our food, because it was all just sad. In addition, meals that came with fries had the fries served almost 10 minutes after the meals. Saving grace, they were hot and well seasoned, so we finally had something we could all share to eat, but had to fight to get ketchup for those that wanted it. Would most definitely NOT recommend for any reason at all.

We celebrated my dads retirement and they were so welcoming and friendly! Brought the saddle out…read moreand everything hahah. We ordered the Wednesday special and it was delicious, my parents split the tomahawk and it literally melted in your mouth! Do yourself a favor and order the chili, it was so good! I have not been to a Texas roadhouse in probably 6 to 7 years and Sunday evening reminded me why…read more We went to Texas roadhouse around 4 o'clock in the afternoon and it was packed. There were a lot of servers standing around talking to each other playing around and not working as you would expect them to be. We waited about 20 minutes and finally got seated. Our waiter greeted us right away and was very friendly and brought us our drinks. We felt very rushed because once he took our drink order he said are you ready to order? We had only been seated for maybe seven minutes. We ordered their new deviled eggs as an appetizer and they were OK. They were mediocre at best and any home cook or Baker could've made them better. We both ordered a steak and shrimp combo. Due to food allergies, I asked for my shrimp to be grilled with no seasoning. So the food finally comes out, and my steak was supposed to be medium rare, and it was medium at best. Yes, the middle of the steak was red, but the ends of the stake was more well done than medium. Medium rare should be medium rare and not medium rare at one point and medium, and another and well done at another. My boyfriend steak was supposed to be medium, and it came out more medium well. My shrimp came out after my steak and it was barely grilled. The food was not hot. It was lukewarm at best. I also ordered a side of mushrooms and they were pretty much roadkill and burnt. I am normally not one to complain or say anything about it, however, this food was absolutely horrible. Nothing was hot, the steaks were not correct, my shrimp was barely cooked, and the mushrooms were burnt. When I did ask the waiter to either re-cook the food or bring a manager he said OK I will get the manager. He did not return to our table at least for 15 minutes at least. And then he asked me again if I wanted to speak to a manager and I said yes. The manager finally came out and I explained to her the situation with the food and she did comp my meal. I in no way was asking for a free meal. I would've preferred it to be re-cooked but at this point I was ready to leave. Texas roadhouse was really one of the places I truly enjoyed for a steak but after this incident, I will no longer be going there and I'd rather go somewhere that takes the time and the love of cooking your meal, knowing how expensive food is these days.
