Came for weekday lunch. I thought the food was alright, nothing special. I got the fried fish sandwich and the one piece of lettuce in there was a little wimpy. Service was also fine. Fork had some dried salad on one of the prongs, which was a little disconcerting. The biggest plus was that the space was much bigger and brighter than it appears on the outside. I hear the nachos are good and it's one of the few places to gather with coworkers in the Longwood area.

Came here for brunch and had a great experience. Good food and service. I ordered avocado toast which I loved, it was the best I've gotten in this area. Others at my table ordered the eggs Benedict and the breakfast sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food. We all especially loved the potatoes that came with their dishes, they were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Service was quick and our server was attentive. I would come back.

Lexington- Kentucky Bourbon Ale. Very tasty.

I stopped in for a quick beer and bite. They have a good selection of beers, ales and ciders on tap. I chose the Lexington Kentucky Bourbon Ale. This was very good, but at 8.2 alcohol content I only had one. I ordered their Mission burger which is a bacon cheeseburger and fries. It could have been cooked a little less as I like my burgers medium rare. However, it wasn't dry and tasted pretty good.

Mission Bar & Grill has been on our list for some time, and we finally stopped in to try it out! It was very crowded at 5:30 on a Tuesday which surprised us, but it definitely boosted the moody atmosphere of the restaurant. I think the location of the restaurant keeps it busy at most times in the evening! The service was a little slower than what I prefer but they seemed a little short staffed for the evening and I can't blame them. The food was really great which made up for it!! We ordered fried pickles, steak frites and fish tacos. The servings were plentiful, the food was tasty and executed well, and the prices were appropriate! :)

I came to mission b&g on a Saturday for brunch. The visuals of this restaurant are gorgeous. Effectively floor to ceiling windows with light pouring through. Our server was prompt and helpful. She also was nice enough to put a wedge under our wobbly table. For a drink I had the paper plane, a well balanced sourish bourbon cocktail that went down real easy. For brunch I had the vegetarian skillet. It needed a bit of salt, but that was readily available. The home fries on the bottom were well cooked and I appreciated the adornment with two fried eggs. Overall feeling great about this place and will definitely come back. Strong recommend!

POV: $20 bucks later... Caesar salad add steak tips. Portions = 2 pieces of meat, lettuce, croutons, and weak 2oz Caesar dressing.

A solid 4 stars! Came here with a big group celebration and split a bunch of apps, including their pretzel, nachos, and hash browns. Everything was great except I thought the guac in the nachos could have been more fresh. For an entree, I got their salmon, which was the highlight of the meal for me. The flavors were perfect - lemony and fresh, over a bed of rice and spinach. Felt both healthy and delicious. Some of my friends got drinks and seemed to enjoy them. The interior of the restaurant gives off old English pub vibes - dark and broody, while at the same time relaxed and neighborhood friendly. It's a nice casual spot to relax and grab some food and drink with friends.

Tex Mex salad and it was light and refreshing. Great service for a quick lunch, was seated and served within 15 minutes of arrival.

I am on day 3 of a hunt for the best bowl of clam chowder in Boston. Today, we are at mission bar and grill and they delivered. This is a traditional American bar that honestly gave me a lot what I am asking for in a bowl of chowder. The ratio of potato to cream is perfect, allowing for a smooth, thiccc soup. My only complaint? There isn't enough clams for the play of textures of chunky potatoes, silky soup and chewy clam blending in my mouth. It is still a solid bowl though. So solid that I got another item in their menu to try - their shrimp scampi. While the dish is perfectly cooked and they knew how to use acidity to make it really pop the balance was unfortunately lacking. Will still be back for their chowder thk

    Blackberry marg Strawberry smash

I grew up literally around the corner from here but hadn't really been around Mission Hill as an adult, so my cousin and I decided to check this place out just for some drinks. I really liked the blackberry marg, and my cousin enjoyed the strawberry smash. The environment was lively and I liked the pubbish feel. Unfortunately the nachos were incredibly meh, not enough toppings, and too dry in my opinion, but we didn't try any of the other food so idk if I have enough info to have an opinion on that.

    New England Breakfast

I've been here a couple times before for dinner, but today was my first time coming for brunch. I was with a large party (14 of us in total), so making a reservation was necessary. We were seated in the back along the wall. I ordered the New England Breakfast, which was 2 eggs cooked any style, toast, home fries and ketchup, and either bacon, ham, or sausage. The kitchen staff did a great job ensuring all our food came out at the same time. The Mission is definitely is an affordable and approachable option for weekend brunch. I would definitely recommend, especially if you are making reservations for a large party.

Husband and I had a lovely Monday night dinner on our last night visiting Boston, we chose The Mission. I ordered a fancy blue cocktail, he ordered a beer. We got the fried calamari appetizer even though I fully intended to have a seafood entree. It was crispy and delicious. Service is very attentive, water is always kept full. I had the seafood risotto with mussels shrimp and calamari. There was a tiniest little hardness to the rice grains, otherwise this is a marvelous dish and I would highly recommend it. Husband had the fish and chips which were very tender and flaky, inside of a rigid crispy crust. No complaints and he could hardly finish his plate.

We started with margaritas which were just so-so. My spicy marg was not spicy and generally we found them to be a little on the sweet side. Fine, but to me it was more like drinking some nice juice. We ordered the nachos to share (you must get these) and a variety of entrees. Food came out so quickly! There was also SO MUCH. I made another two full meals out of leftover nachos and fajitas and could have stretched to a third. It's definitely Americanized Mexican but it really hits the spot! The bartenders were super nice. This is a good spot to kill time before a show or if you're just strolling by. I could tell there are some local regulars. Loved the rotating welcome sign at the entrance. My only complaint would be the ladies room could use a makeover. A nice paint job and new doors as one stall had no lock..
