Rob and Jerry checked it out promptly, and Rob called a couple of hours later to let me know it was a false alarm. Not only that, but he took the time to give me a detailed education about this car and transmission which will be extremely helpful in the future in deciding how long to keep this car on the road. Could not have been more informative! PLUS - he refused to take any money since he didn't actually need to do any repairs! Transmissions are not something I (or most people) know a lot about. If I was told it needed expensive repairs, I wouldn't have known any different. You can trust them!!! Jerry, Rob and crew are good people. They are competent, professional, prompt, reasonable and just plain nice. You can't go wrong here! p.s. over the years with those three previous cars, two of them had real transmission issues and Jerry recommended NOT repairing them; the third was also a false alarm. So - they have never actually billed me for anything. Scary honest people!

The Hyundai dealership noted that I needed to get my transmission serviced a few months back (car is around 78K, and I had already serviced it once before around 55K). I was skeptical, so I wanted a second opinion. I called Jerry's and they explained the policy- bring it in early morning, give them time to look at it and we'll go from there. They called around lunch with good news- nothing wrong with the car! I was curious why I would be told that and the simple answer was, " they wanted to make some $$$ off of you, but your car is fine." I will only go here for transmission issues from now on. I just wish they did more than just transmissions. Rare to find honest, affordable mechanics these days.

Anxious and bummed I took it in to get it fixed. I was preparing myself for the worst a new or rebuild transmission which 3 other shops quoted me over 6g. if I needed one. They could've said anything, any price they want. The car doesn't move right?? Even getting a rebuilt transmission would be a lot less than a new or used truck. But, they came back to me with such an honest quote that not only they fixed the issue they also fixed 4 other issues and replaced the battery which I knew about btw And also cut a couple of hrs of labor because it didn't take as long as it was quoted. I mean NEVER in my 40 years of owing cars have I experienced that. Needless to say I will be going back for all issues. these guys rock! Ohh an I ended up paying waaaaay less than I thought just for the initial problem. I was extremely happy with their attention and the honesty they showed was unreal. We also had a water leak issue on the back passenger side floor. whatever they did to take care of things only took a day or so to fix. And to our surprise he not only fixed the water issue's but also re-programed and got the rear camera to work. [ we bought this car used and did not think it actualy had a rear camera , only line sensors that showed up on the screen] . And they did not charge any extra to get this done. To say we were happy is an understatement, they we up front , honest and professional with everything that needed to be done, and we highly recommend this facility for all German and other vehicles. I can't say enough nice things about this shop and their crew. Last fall my trans started making…read morenoise until it failed. New Subaru transmissions aren't cheap and sadly they can't be rebuilt (thanks for nothing Subaru). That didn't stop them from looking at every option for me. We worked together and found a used unit with low miles. The cost was higher than I was prepared to put into the car (what major repairs aren't higher than expected?). But it was still nearly half the cost of a new unit from Subaru and "Ruby" is running beautifully. I can tell the negative comments left here are by people not used to the high cost of car repairs. They can't handle bad news so they put blame on the shop. Sorry, repairs cost money. If you want to stay on the road you need to put work in from time to time. I'd rather give that money to a shop that works WITH their patrons to come up with a solution that makes (almost) everyone happy in the end. Thanks guys!
