We were told that there was a gym and a game room on the second floor as well as some outdoor activities, but we didn't get a chance to check them out because we were only there for one night. Our room was on the first floor, so it was easy to transport our luggage from our car to our room. Our bedroom had 2 queen beds, a large desk/counter space, and a bathroom with a tub/shower. We all enjoyed the Villanova-themed decorations in the room. There were several charging ports throughout the room, which was helpful because all 4 of us needed to charge our phones overnight. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and stocked with all the essentials. We ran out of toothpaste, but luckily the concierge provided us with some travel-sized toothpaste free of charge. The water pressure in the shower was nice, but the shampoo and conditioner made everyone's hair feel greasy. We had no problems with our beds, but there were a couple issues with the rest of the bedroom. For some reason, there was a wet patch of carpet near the desk that was there before we even moved in. Also, there are no overhead light fixtures, so we could only get light from the backlit headboards on the bed or the bedside lamps (I did like that you could dim the lights on the lamp, though). Finally, the TV kept losing signal and we could only reach 3 channels. Overall, the Inn at Villanova provided a good 1-night experience for my family, but I think I would choose to stay somewhere else if I was planning on being in that area longer.

Ryan greeted us with a friendly, warm smile and provided us with info on the area. Because we arrived early we had a drink at the bar and enjoyed a conversation with Patty who was so kind and personable. Once we walked to the party at the gorgeous Montrose Mansion (which is attached to the Inn) we had a fabulous time. The following team members went over and above to ensure a good time: Bruce Mullen, Dean, Brie, Amir, Justin, Mel and BJ. Attention to detail and smiles overflowed by these individuals. We were treated with "over and above" hospitality. Oh, and how can I forget.....the almond croissants at the bar/cafe. They are totally worth every calorie. Thank you to everyone who made sure we had a memorable time!

In fact- all my interactions with the front desk were favorable. The room was beautiful and large! Spotless, cozy, and first class is how I would describe it. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. I had occasion to use the gym. It had all the basics and the equipment I used was in good working order. I did not use the pool. The continental breakfast had a large variety of foods to choose from. The area was spotless. There is a welcoming lounge area where you can enjoy your food too. The hotel was decorated in Christmas splendor! Location is tucked away-in walking distance to J Alexanders and The Melting Pot! SSSSCCCCOOOORRRRREEEE!!! I would definitely stay here again! It isn't cheap though and my room was over 250 dollars per night!! You get what you pay for though and it was worth it to me.

Staff is nice and accommodating. Pretty much the standard Hyatt House layout. One thing is that you have to bring a second ID because apparently booking hotels under a false ID is a thing according to the staff at the front desk. Only negative is the distance from actual city of Philadelphia. The decor in the hotel displaying the history of baseball in the Philadelphia area is awesome. The last time I was here, they gave me a complementary upgrade on my room.

We stood outside for about 2 hours while firefighters addressed the situation. Eventually, the hotel was deemed uninhabitable. Most of that is outside of Marriott control, so we can't really hold that against them. However, once we were cleared to go in and get our stuff from our rooms, management essentially threw us to the wolves. They didn't find us rooms at nearby hotels at same rate or give us vouchers or offer to pay for the nights it was uninhabitable for something that wasn't our fault. They just told us we have to go find another hotel while competing with hundreds of other people at 10 at night. We eventually found a room at a nearby residence inn which is also owned by Marriott. They, nor we, could get in touch with the original Marriott Friday or Saturday to transfer us at same rate. We had to pay for that room out of pocket so now we're paying for 2 rooms. Saturday morning and afternoon were spent trying to figure out if we had to go back to the original hotel since that was what was in the system and we didn't want to pay 2 nights at 2 hotels and be left holding the bag. Phones were not being answered and we had to have a place to come back to, so we were forced to pay for 2 rooms for a second night. It's still not resolved. Nor have they reached out. Customer support is not able to fix the issue because they don't know how and are not empowered to do so. Nice hotel but if something goes wrong, don't plan on management or corporate addressing the issue quickly or correctly. Stay here at your own risk. Heaven forbid you have a wedding party stay here and something goes wrong. Your entire wedding would quickly turn into a nightmare. My guess is they want everyone to roll over, capitulate to frustration, and eat the cost to save what I'm guessing is costing them around $50k in losses on guest stays. There's obviously other losses but I'm sure insurance handles most of that. If you have an event like a kids sports tournament, funeral, wedding, or conference that requires reliability stay here at your own risk.

The pool was clean and warm, the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower pressure was amazing. Great location near shopping and a very comfortable stay. Highly recommend it.
