Great venue for luncheon/banquet event. We worked with event sales manager Janine to coordinate a lovely memorial luncheon in less than one week. She was very accommodating as we had many more guests attending than originally anticipated. The food was amazing and the room was clean and tastefully decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful as guests continued to arrive. The entire team were extremely patient, kind, courteous, and an absolute pleasure to work with throughout a difficult time for my family. Even the talented kitchen staff members were friendly, always smiling, and they created a delicious lunch and with impeccable service. The salmon, chicken marsala, salads, and desserts were fantastic! I'm so very grateful for everything, and I would definitely recommend the Radnor Hotel for future events. read more

Drab outdated tiny rooms. For 180 a night, I'd expect more. No mini fridge or any amenities besides a safe, luggage stand and ironing board. Bathroom in king room was tiny (we were in 304). Ice machine on the floor was broken. Interior was outdated, carpet was faded and wallpaper was almost peeling at the seams. PTAC fan AC in room barely worked and only worked when it wanted to. Clientele was rowdy wedding party patrons who yelled into the night until about 2am or families who let their children run the halls at 7am. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. All in all it was clean so if you have to and get a much better rate than we did, then fine. For reference, Best Western is much better. read more

I stayed here recently and was not impressed. The hotel was old. Things were broken, like the ice machine... But it was clean. However in our short stay the staff was pretty incompetent. The woman at the front desk was rude. An hour after check in, a different woman called our room and asked me if we attended breakfast we prepaid for? I explained to her several times that we had just checked in so she was probably trying to get a hold of someone that had stayed the day prior. She insisted she meant me (she didn't). I was on the phone with them for like 5 minutes. This poor lady hadn't a clue. OH and the rooms dont have mini fridges, which is kinda a deal breaker for me. Take pictures of everything before checking out. I was harassed by this hotel because they accused me of stealing a towel bar and a basket of stuff. I didnt steal anything and refused to pay but was threatened with a lawsuit if i didnt pay. They forced me to pay $62 for said items. Always liked The Radnor hotel. No complaints, room was nice and clean, view was boring, but it's not really in a location that would offer much of a view. Price? Mid pack not outrageous, but certainly not a bargain either. Amenities? A little shoe shine kit. Never seen that before, and a nice touch. Standard otherwise. Glenmorgan - in house dining, nice, very nice. Good bar crowd the night I was there, clearly as much a local hangout as a guest dining location, which speaks well for the quality of the food that people CHOOSE to dine there, and are not just hotel guests with no other choice. I understand the breakfast buffet is also good. Rooms? Apparently just renovated, but struck me as kind of a mid 1980's style, new, but not up to date. Bed was comfortable, but again, I just felt like I'd walked into a hotel from "Back to the Future." I'll stay there again next time I travel that way. read more

The Radnor hotel was the venue for our daughter's wedding 7/8/23 . So not only were we guests of the hotel but experienced the full services the hotel had to offer. The accommodations were well appointed and immaculate. (3rd floor). The convenience of having the ceremony, reception, after party, breakfast buffet all located within the hotel simplified the weekend especially since the forecast called for a hot, humid rainy afternoon. It was for that reason the ceremony was held indoors and not in the beautiful gardens. Regardless of the impending weather, the call was made early and the staff seamlessly worked in the background to make everything special. Lastly, I would like to thank the staff for their professionalism, and dedication to their job. From check-in, housekeeping, to servers they were hardworking, gracious and accommodating. I stayed at the Radnor for a full week. The front desk people were good and efficient. I had a decent meal at the Glenmorgan and every evening I enjoyed the company of colleagues in the bar. The overall hotel is a bit a tired and in need of an update. That is about all the good I can say about this hotel. On my last evening there, I came to learn that my room was within a block of people who were there for a wedding reception. By 1:00 a.m., I decided it was time to call the front desk so I could get some sleep. I heard the hotel employee say that the people in Room 310 were complaining. Great! That's when the fun began. Things quieted for a bit but quickly the party was on again. More calls to front desk and people knocking on my door at 2:00 a.m. telling me they were there to sell me Girl Scout cookies. It was a scary experience and I will never go back. Despite sharing my experience with senior management of the hotel, I have not received any sort of call or e.mail back. Really good brunch!!! I have hosted an annual Christmas Brunch for my family. We have 20 ish folks every year. This year we tried the Radnor brunch and all really enjoyed it!! The basics of eggs, bacon, sausage were very good - fresh and hot - often hard to do for a buffet. The carving station was also good - tasty turkey breast and roast beef (would have liked the beef to be a little rarer.) The hot entrees were enjoyed - a number had the penne and liked it. Heard good things about the mashed potatoes with the "fixings" - bacon, cheese, scallions, etc... The OJ, mimosas got rave reviews. The highlight for me was the fish. The cold stations were fantastic - in order of enjoyment: 1) Smoked Whitefish ;2) Lox ;3) poached salmon; 4) smoked bluefish (a fish nut in our group raved about the bluefish but it was a bit overpowering for me.) Would have loved to have been able to toast my bagel though. Folks loved the deserts - heard compliments for the cheesecake and carrot cake. Service was good! Only complaint was I was not informed we would be at two tables but that was a minor inconvenience. Definitely recommend it! read more

This review is ONLY for a wedding I attended. We did not stay in a room. The venue itself was quite nice. The garden where the ceremony took place was super cute and the flow of the wedding party was unique and beautiful. The banquet room where the reception took place was spacious, but the room was divided by the dance floor and it was really difficult to see the bride and groom's table unless you were standing on the dance floor. I wish we could have watched them while we were at our tables! The passed hors d'oeuvres were delicious. The spring rolls, spinach phillo things, and chicken empanadas were my favorite. The lamb chops were a little too big for me to eat standing up and the crab cake sliders could have done with smaller buns. The stationary appetizers were OK, but the food went very quickly and I didn't really end up getting anything to eat unless it came from a waiter who was passing things around the room. The buffet dinner was hit or miss. The mashed potatoes were really good, but the roasted turkey was INCREDIBLY salty. Oh my God, my husband and I almost spit it out it was so salty. It was like they brined it for a week before they cooked it up. Wow. Wowowowowow. The best part of the wedding was the bartenders. They were very fast and there was hardly ever a line for a drink. The waiters also offered you champagne and wine while you were standing in line for the bar, so I had the opportunity to double-fist it a few times. The bathrooms were right outside the doors, so that was nice, too. You didn't have to go far or leave for long to empty your bladder. Overall, it was a good time! read more

The Radnor Hotel was directly responsible for making all of my wedding dreams come true. I had my wedding reception here on 10/19/13 and the night surpassed all of my expectations! My husband and I fell in love with the Radnor Hotel the minute we arrived for our first meeting with the event manager, Lauren. She was kind and helpful and she made the process of wedding planning a breeze. The night before the wedding I stayed in a suite with a few of my bridesmaids and the accommodations were amazing. The room was spacious, clean, and simply beautiful. The morning of the wedding we got ready in the suite and it was a perfect backdrop for our pre-wedding festivities. The room had a lot of people in it throughout the morning and it never once felt crowded. After my husband and I celebrated our beautiful wedding ceremony, it was time to return to the Radnor Hotel for the reception. The bridal party went straight to the gardens for photos and the scenery outside was stunning. The flowers, and trees, and décor all came together to create the perfect background for our bridal party photos. We had the grounds all to ourselves while we posed, and laughed, and enjoyed every second of being with one another outside in the gardens. After the photos we were shown to a bridal party room where they had food and drinks set up and ready for us to enjoy. I also was able to sneak a peek into the reception room beforehand and it was so nice seeing everyone working so hard to make the room come together so beautifully! The staff made every detail special and they kept the night organized and wonderful. The chef is a gift from god! I swear. I am a vegetarian and I was looking for a little something more in terms of the entrée selection offered and so he created an incredible vegetarian entrée that just wowed me and all of my other guests who were smart enough to order it! The night continued and it was amazing in every way. I am still receiving compliments on our reception; my guests loved the food, the décor, the staff, and the overall energy you feel when you are in the hotel. Supposedly this is the top hotel in the area but you would think that people in Philadelphia's Main Line suburbs would have better taste considering the region is a bastion of old money. Stayed here for a wedding last month at a nearby country club and whilst the staff was friendly, the room decor was extremely dated. Rooms were clean and all but in desperate need of renovation. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express properties that were more up to date in terms of decor all the while being much cheaper (and throwing in free breakfast to boot). Also, the bathrooms were awkward with shower and toilet separated from the sink area by a cumbersome door that did not leave much room for getting ready in front of the mirror. Luckily my grandmother paid for the rooms because from what I heard they were not cheap. The one great thing is that the location is fantastic. Walking distance to the train into downtown Philly and also only about a 7 min drive from King of Prussia mall. The gardens on the hotel property (see pics) were pretty nice as well. If this hotel had lower rates I would consider staying again if I had a need to be in the area simply because the location was good and it was a clean place to lay my head. However, it is not worth the advertised prices. read more

Well forget about that here. They only clean the room after four nights which meant I was really looking forward to a clean room in day 5. Turns out they only clean the room if you ask. So now you not only get to be your own maid you have to be a psychic to get their policies because nowhere do they say upon request. We held my daughter's wedding at the Radnor Hotel and the weekend was over the top fabulous. The staff was above accommodating with all of the out-of-town guest we had. Everyone who works there was so helpful and respectful of all the guest and did not hesitate to try and make our stay the best wedding weekend ever. An older hotel with a lot of history. There were several wedding parties there, and ya know it's not bad. Unfortunately we stayed in the "basement" rooms, yep, one level below ground. It's very, very, very damp down there, exacerbated by the recent bout of heavy rains. The sheets and pillow cases were actually damp to the touch, and the older air conditioner just seemed to be pumping in my damp air. The whole place had that damp musty smell, and gave us both a raging headache the following morning. Overall the room was not bad, bedding was clean, air con did not cool down to the point we wanted. There is a smaller flat screen, teeny-tiny outdated bathroom. There was a full sized iron and ironing board. Wifi was o.k., but dropped frequently. The big compliment was the restaurant. OUTSTANDING!!!! Breakfast was about $20 each, and was exceptional. The buffet is all top quality, wait staff are great, and it's just flat out classy. Not sure about the dampness issue upstairs...but if they give you a room number from 1-29, say...no thanks! read more

I had reservations for 2 rooms at the Radnor for just a single night stay with my son and his friend after a sport tournament. We arrived late afternoon and needed to make a dinner reservation within 45 min. The friendly, kind receptionist checked us in efficiently and we were able to make our way to dinner with time to spare. I was even upgraded to a suite. The rest of the staff including the Glenmorgan Bar and Grill staff we came in contact were also friendly and helpful. Precautions were in place to for Covid 19. So toiletry amenities(bar soap, shampoo and conditioner) not provided in rooms but were offered to us, thankfully, because I usually do not carry those with me. It was nice to see the rooms remodeled from a prior visit about 2 years ago. Will definitely return when we visit our eldest son at Villanova University! Kelly read more

We hosted our law firm holiday party at the Radnor Hotel and could not have been happier. The room was beautiful, with unexpectedly warm touches greeting our guests. The food was *outstanding*, and they accommodated all dietary requirements without any hesitation. From start to finish, our planning team was exceptional - from Chrissy who handled our contract to the banquet manager who was on site and helping us all night. The staff was friendly and service was amazing. A few guests spent the night at the hotel and were thrilled. This is a beautiful, Main Line establishment, and we could NOT be happier. If you are booking a suite ($250/night when we booked) just be aware of what you're getting. It's spacious compared to their regular rooms. You're given a living space in addition to a bedroom and bathroom and a small corner of the living space serves as a kitchenette. However, the rooms are horribly outdated. The carpeting and furniture look like period pieces. We even noticed a beer bottle cap right under the sofa when we first walked in. For $250/night, you should be able to expect more. Their "room service" menu consists of bar food from the restaurant downstairs. We ordered some food and it was delivered promptly, however, our plates sat in the hallway outside our room for 12+ hours waiting to be picked up. It got to the point where I had to mention it to the front desk and ask them to send someone to pick up the plates. I would imagine having dirty dishes in the hallway for 12+ hours at a time could potentially attract insects and rodents, but that didn't seem like a concern for them. The woman at the front desk (I didn't catch her name) was very rude. There were about 100 people in the lobby when we checked in (waiting to board a bus for a pub crawl), so it was a little hectic. I walked up to the front desk and asked if I could check in here and she replied "well, this looks like the front desk to me, so I would hope so." OK, I get it, customer service jobs can be grueling and maybe it was the end of a long day for her. But then, while checking in, she told us that we "didn't look too happy to be there" ... probably because we were still shocked by how rude and abrasive she had been. We had a room block at the Radnor Hotel for our wedding guests and 2 of the groomsmen even told us that this same woman at the front desk told them "I used to think the Radnor Hotel was nice until I saw other hotels. You could have found a better place." So humiliating that our wedding guests had to be subjected to such poor customer service! Bottom line - the rooms should be less expensive, the employees at the front desk need a refresher course in customer service, dirty plates shouldn't be left out in the hallway for 12+ hours, and the furniture and carpeting should be updated to at least give the appearance they were made within the last hundred years. read more

The food was delicious but THE SERVICE AND THE FEMALE MANAGER ON DUTY WAS HORRIBLE. She did not ask the amount to be charged on each card before running our credit cards. She threw the folders with the cards on the table and said, "y'all give them out." Then she LIED and said loudly to my son's friend that his card declined, which was a bold faced lie, then turned around and asked if she could charge his card for additional monies. She NEVER apologized for her gross negligence and was as unprofessional as they come. This was my second time there but will not return. We had to wave our hands several times to get someone's attention to even refill our water glasses. Food is good but not enough to make me go back. read more

Called the police on us. We attended a brunch for my sister-in-law at the Radnor hotel. They told us we had to leave because the table had another reservation in 20 minutes. We were told we had to leave as there was a 2 hour limit but were not told this when booking the reservation and not told when seated. Some of our party had left and two were still eating. The manager Shiobhan came over and was extremely rude and said people were waiting in the lobby for our table and if we didn't vacate she would call the Radnor police which she did. In all my life I've never been treated so rudely by hotel/restaurant staff. Two police cars and at least three officers came in. They were not interested in hearing our side of the story. They didn't even take my brother's credit card when we got the heave ho. He placed her s card on the bill and it sat for at least 45 minutes before someone picked it up. Apart from this, the food was mediocre and service was poor. Never got my complimentary champagne and waiters would not refill water glasses. Did not get asked if I wanted tea or coffee. It was obvious that they overbooked the brunch and did not allow time for turnover of tables. My party was there two hours and ten minutes when we got our first warning that we had to leave. We were told that the next party was late and that we could finish our food in the next Friday fifteen minutes and then go to the restaurant. We didn't want to move as some people were still eating, and they hadn't even picked up the check. There were several seniors in my party and it was so embarrassing that they called the cops on seniors. What a disgrace! Did I mention that the food was nothing special? Stay away if you want to be treated like a human being. read more

*HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE* I actually despise using all caps, but this time it felt warranted. My family and I had reservations here for Thanksgiving dinner and will never be returning again. We waited over 45 minutes to be seated, despite having arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation, which was made three months ago for the main dining room. We watched people who arrived 10 minutes LATE for their reservation be seated before us. When we asked the host staff several times what was happening, they simply brushed us off and said "soon." Finally, we were told that the family seated at the table they had "specifically assigned to us" was not getting up to leave, despite being subtly told about the limited time frame for their meal. This was the first offense - what kind of antiquated system assigns a specific table to a family in such a way that a situation like this can occur? After a half hour, they said they had found another table for us and finally led us to the dining room. They sat us at a table where there happened to be a coat on one of the chairs. The assumption was that the family before us had left it there, but the second we sat down, a family appeared stating that this was their table. Second offense - they actually sat us at another family's table, which means they are entirely too disorganized. We were then asked to stand by the wait staff area while they tried to figure out a solution. It was horrifying to be repeatedly told "excuse me" as we were obviously in the way. The main host came back and said he would could seat us in the bar, but my parents are older and were not up for walking back and forth (including up and down stairs) from an entirely separate part of the hotel. Our reservations were for the main dining hall. We told them no and their response was to ask us to wait once again. Finally, they somehow managed to find a table and we were seated, but there were no grand apologies, nor offers to comp our meal. We explained how upset we were and the host "said" he would discuss the situation with his manager and get back to us. Well, we ate and this brings up the third offense - the food was not worth the price by any means at all. Some of the side dishes were served burnt and the desserts were still frozen (so glad we paid so much for thawed pastries). The last offense, however, is the worst. The host tried to avoid us, but I made eye contact, which prompted him to come over and say he would have his manager reach out the following week. We have received no phone call and no apology whatsoever. We paid the bill that night, but I would highly advise against anyone planning a holiday meal at this establishment. The hotel is average. The front desk staff gets mixed reviews from me as does the management. The wait staff for the breakfast and in the bar are excellent and the food in the bar is very good. The reason the front desk staff is mixed is that some were very friendly like when I checked in and some were rude, like when I let them know that there was no coffee during their free coffee times in the morning. I had an incident in the room where someone tried to get in but the management said their was no one. I was in the room and it was only the lock that swung across the door that I used that stopped them from entering. Good location. Rooms were clean but just ok. Stayed here on a business trip. The hotel is outdated in some areas but my room was clean and modern and comfy. Great bed. The bar and restaurant are also slightly outdated and nothing special in terms of atmosphere, but the service was fantastic and there were good selections on the menu... I enjoyed the hummus plate and portobello sandwich! Excellent selection of beers. There is free coffee for guests but it's very weak. Not good. Breakfast buffet is ok. Called front desk they assured me that was a mistake and won't happen again. Day 2. Ditto. I leave the do not disturb sign on the door. They enter room and clean it anyway. Call front desk talk to mamager. They apologize and assure me they will handle it personally. Day 3. Yep you guessed it. I leave do not disturb sign on door but the housekeepers disregard and enter the room anyways. Room was on and staff friendly. Overall quality of hotel is average. But it's clearly a one star when you can't trust hotel staff not to enter your room where you leave the do not disturb sign on the door THREE DAYS in a row. Bottom line...don't stay here. read more

Food: 5 Stars Very Tasty, Freshly Prepared, Very Seasoned Ambiance: 5 Stars Beautiful Room, Classy Staff: 1 Star The hostess (very tall, skinny) was not friendly at all even rolling her eyes at me after I asked very nicely if there was somewhere I could put our stroller. Her response (that accompanied the eye roll) was "Of course, onceeee (very condescending) you get seated." I asked because most restaurants prefer they be in the lobby, out of the dining room. Instead, she responded to me like I was a child. She even treated my mother rudely and seemed annoyed by our presence. And as I left brunch, I saw that she was the hotel front desk agent as well. I can only speak for the hotel service since I haven't experienced any of their other services. We booked a hotel here the other weekend because our friend was getting married on the main line. The rate was very reasonable so no qualms about the price. However, when we showed up to get our room it was not yet ready. I will say that we were trying to check in at 2pm when normal check in is at 3pm. The problem was that the wedding began at 3pm and we still needed to get ready. The lady at the desk that we spoke with was not at all helpful and basically gave us a "too bad so sad" answer about the room not being ready. Fortunately, another gentleman at the desk offered us the key to the gym where we could change and get ready. Listen, maybe this is just me being unreasonable about not being able to check in 1 hour early. I've been to many other hotels that have always accommodated early check-ins. In my opinion, if you are a hotel that blocks off rooms for a wedding, you need to make sure that those rooms are the first ones ready on that day. It's service like this that gives the main line is uppity reputation. read more

I probably stay in hotel rooms between 30 and 40 nights a year, so I think that I know what to expect from a hotel experience. The Radnor Hotel is not one that I enjoyed very much at all. This is probably a great wedding reception hotel, but that is about it. Which was the majority of my problem with the hotel stay. Forget that the rooms are "just okay" and that the bathrooms are tiny and not well appointed. Forgetting that the room service was fast but boring and tasteless. The real problem with this hotel is that it is a wedding reception hotel! The guest are there for one reason, to party at a wedding, and then when the wedding is over the guests make all sorts of noise at all hours of the evening, up and down the halls, slamming doors and talking and generally keeping the regular guests awake from midnight until 2am. It wasn't like I could even call the front desk and complain, because it was a recurring stream of people doing this every ten minutes when they'd leave the reception! They would get of the elevator, in large groups, talking loudly in the halls saying their good nights, and then slam their doors closed. Five minutes later it would be another group of partiers doing the same thing. These were basically people that do not stay in hotels very often and therefore were not appreciative that there may have been other people in the hotel that were NOT at their party and MAY have been trying to sleep. And it wasn't because I had a room near the elevator, because I didn't, it is just that the hallways are VERY noisy at The Radnor Hotel and the doors all slam shut! My daughter goes to VFMA and from now on when we go to visit her at school, we'll be staying someplace else. Sorry. And this was my second stay at The Radnor Hotel... We had a great experience staying overnight here. We weren't expecting any goodies such as breakfast since we knew what we paid for through Expedia. Front desk was quite professional. Our room was spacious, clean and smelled 'neutral', exactly how it should be. Was a bit taken aback by how small our washroom was though. Almost claustrophobic. Stayed here one night for a business trip, it was the most conveniently located to the Radnor Financial Center. The quality of the room was pretty average, I just expected a little more for the price that was paid. When we got there, their key card maker was broken so they had to let us in the room with a master key, that was pretty inconvenient in my opinion. The bar by the lobby was nice. The bartender and staff were all helpful. The worst part is the business express continental buffet. That thing cost $15 and all we got was some oatmeal, bagels, fruit, and hard boiled eggs. I was here for a wedding last weekend. While the exterior, amenities and general facilities of the whole place gave it kind of a historical/quaint feel to it...I pretty much agree w/ Statia's take on the whole thing. Just going by the rooms..you can't really justify the prices they charge for them. There isn't much difference here than a courtyard Marriott. A friend of mine noted they did offer an excellent selection of in-room porn though. The bar/restaurant is decent enough. Although Chimay was a whopping $14 a pop..the food was good and most drinks were reasonable for a hotel. read more

Stayed here because of it's proximity to the University and because the Convention Center was booked. However, not a good value for the price. Front desk was a bit snarky when asked about amenities (only a few) and no breakfast with limited coffee availability. And, do you want the coffee in your room restocked after using? The front desk admits that it is only stocked by housekeeping every other day. We will go the extra mile or so for value and customer service! Sorry, you didn't, Radnor! read more

A recent stay at the Radnor Hotel for 2 nights, and as far as I'm concerned, everything was just great. My room was spotlessly clean when I arrived, and stayed that way until I checked out. Friendly, courteous service from the time I checked in, all throughout my stay, and through my checkout. I also was at an event where I had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel. All the meals were prepared very well, with quite a variety to choose from. Are the rooms "out of date" as many suggest. Well, perhaps the building is "dated" but for me it's also some of the charm. Modern conveniences of WiFi, cable TV, HVAC controls, etc... was ample enough for me. All in all, a positive experience for me for my stay. read more
