if I could give 0 stars I would. I had a great dinner with my wife next door, the food, service and atmosphere was excellent. I can see why the restaurant gets so many awards. The selection of Bourbons are top tier. Then it went side ways, we wanted to spend the remainder of the evening dancing and listening to some good country music. We were escorted next door to the saloon as the cover charge is waived if you dine at the restaurant. Walking through the door we both had smiles on our face, the long drive and over night stay looked as if it would be worth it. The band was playing great music the crowd were dancing and the place looked humming. Got drinks at the bar stood looking over the dance floor and bouncer approached telling us to move, we proceeded to find another spot along the rail and again same bouncer approached telling us the only place to stand is on the lower level, which by this time was packed. We moved down, 10 mins later told that we were to close to the stairs leading to floor could we move again. Still hadn't finished 1st drink ! went to the side bar and squeezed in. Two -three tables had nobody sitting at them but had reserved signs, its now 9pm or slightly later. 2nd drink saw a group leaving their table asked if the stools where free, no problem sat down, approached again by same bouncer saying even though party was leaving we could not sit at table. Asking why, he said we can pay to sit, How much? it would be $250!!! I had just spent over $400 in the restaurant still had receipt in hand showed bouncer. Nope if i wanted a table its $250!! we finished drinks, walked out in disgust. We did not get one dance, watching the same bouncer pull beginners or hassle beginners on the floor in a very embarrassing way we were glad we did not try and dance. We went back to hotel bar. I could not recommend this bar / saloon. I could not call it a bar, given how stiff the atmosphere is. The website needs updated to show the prices to have a seat, describe the draconian approach by bouncers and this is run like a picture perfect nothing out of place never never land! Went there for my 30th birthday with about 13 people. They told us we all had to pay cover including the birthday boy with no exceptions. The drinks were good and they had water for people to drink on the corner of the bar. A water station if you will. Drinks are reasonably priced. Would go back. read more

We came to celebrate a birthday at the restaurant and came here after for the saloon. If you eat in the restaurant, they will comp the admission to get in, but you will still have to exit and enter in through the side entry. The dance floor is large and there is plenty of seating but in order to get a table, you have to accummulate $150(?) in drinks. AND there is a wait list for that too. We put our names down at apx 6 pm but did not get a table until past 10 pm once someone left. Line dancing classes are at 5:30pm. Its free but the instructions go from baby steps to full blown synchronized moves. A bit daunting for those who are beginners, but everyone looked like they were having a blast. I admit I was a tad buzzed but my OCD side was blown away by how in step everyone was with one another..at least from what I recollect. The drinks are not badly priced and my waiter was prompt and had a nice pour. I unfortunately did not get his name, but he has a LA Kings black wristband that he keeps the bottle opener tucked in. Look for him, he's great! :) p.s. Very important for the ladies: plenty of stalls and it is very clean! p.p.s. If you came for the restaurant and not for the saloon, they'll spot you right out. I'm actually not certain how to rate this review, so I'll go with something in the lower end. I came here with a small group of people late on a Saturday night. The place was packed and really lively. The band playing was great and we were all inspired to get on the floor and try our hand at some line dancing. Having little to no idea what we were doing, and after observing several other people on the floor with similar abilities, or lack thereof, to ours, we headed out on the floor ready to get our good time on! The first half hour was a blast and the band continued to play a great mix of music. It wasn't until a security guard named Mike tapped me on the shoulder and told me and my sister we had to get off the floor because we didn't know the moves. To which I kind of laughed and said there were several people who didn't know what they were doing either and to give us a break, that we were trying! This dude was adamant and not giving up. Now he's right, we didn't know what we were doing, but we were at the edge of the dance floor, not in anyone's way and not acting like a couple of fools impeding on someone else's good time. He told me three times to leave the floor. I finally told him that I paid to get in there, I wasn't leaving and to F off. Which, he finally did. What the hell kind of place tells a paying customer that they can't dance if they don't know how? Seriously? One friend had remarked earlier that he thought it would be a great place to take his Asian clients, who are allegedly, big into line dancing (who knew?), but imagine his embarrassment if they were told they had to leave the floor? Really a shame that this happened and I wouldn't say I'm going to let one a**hole ruin it for me, but I can't say that I'm planning my next trip back. The Ranch Saloon Hubby and I decided to stop by here after a fabulous dinner next door at the restaurant. Our cover charge was waived because of that. Standard procedure before we entered: ID check, head over to hostess desk, get our wrist stamped, head on in. Place was pretty packed and everyone seemed to be having a good time. We headed to the bar and tried to order the same drinks we had at the restaurant: Sage Brush and Cadillac Margarita. Bartender said he didn't have any sage. He mixed me a Cucumber Martini instead. Hubby's Cadillac was made with Jose Cuervo instead of Patron. We thought we could walk around and find a decent place to sit and enjoy our drinks, watch everyone dance it up, but no! Ev.Ver.Ry table was reserved. And forget about trying to just stand next to a reserved table to try to enjoy your drink. You'll be shooed away by security. Unless you've reserved a table, there is no way one could "enjoy" the Saloon. We couldn't even sit at the bar without the bartender telling us we couldn't sit there for very long because it would get busy soon and we'd have to make way for others coming in. Okay. We bought drinks at that bar and couldn't even sit there to enjoy the drinks. Hubby ended up leaving his drink at the bar, barely touched because the Cuervo was just gross. We stayed for maybe 15 minutes and walked out. The live band that played did a great job. That's all I'm gonna say about that. read more

They have a very strict dancing policy apparently. I took my wife on the dance floor to have fun and we were shoved by a regular and shoved off by two staff security guards for dancing. They do line dancing here but we were kicked off after they announced it was time to "free style" dance. Really disappointed! I've given this place 3 fair chances and every time I'm disappointed. First and foremost the bartenders have always been nice (first star) and pour decent drinks, however, apparently they are too busy to pour ice water for their patrons.. instead they have a "water station" where you must pour your own lukewarm water, Not that I'm against doing anything myself, I just think that if your bartender's are standing around they should be able to pour a glass of water for me... Secondly- their "staff" or security guards are too high on their horse enforcing the most ridiculous rules (don't you dare stand anywhere else than against the wall and if you don't know the dance, get off the dance floor)! Plus they're rude about it... Third- EVERY table is reserved...which is minimum $150-$300 (depending on the table), yet I see NO ONE sitting there. Literally all 6 or 7 booths were empty at 10pm!! And when I sat down at an empty table to fix my boot, it wasn't 5 seconds later that the guard was in my face telling me to move. There is no where to sit between dances, which brings me to my last point The dances -while I do appreciate the live band and the energy from them, (2nd star) 4 out of 5 dances that are called out are 2 step, or couples dances! Oh and out of the 4 hours I was there they called the electric slide 3 times!!! When you don't do enough line dances as it is...don't call the same ones every hour!! I'm really bummed because this place could be really fun! The people who go are a little uptight but if you go with a fun group you dont notice them too much. 5 STARS AND LET ME TELL YOU WHY! From the moment I and my wife walked in we were greeted with a smile and a how you do from the start. We have never been here before so after paying our cover (reasonable) we walked in and was immediately directed to Jerry who looked to seat us and with out hesitation gave us a prime spot because someone had cancelled on their table. Honestly if they didn't have that table he would have gone above and beyond and find us a table and make us feel welcome. Ashley is our server and definitely attentive to make sure we were taken care of. At the end of the day I have no negatives ... My wife and I have been coming to the Ranch for a couple year now and love to have our weekly Date Nights there. The staff are all fantastic from the waitresses to the bartenders and even security. The food is always on point and the bands and dancing are always on point. If there is anything that needs to change is dance instructor Shelly. She is not good at all. Friday night instructor, Dev, is friendly and gets all the newbies dancing in 10 minutes. Shelly talks and giggles more then she instructs. Very painful to take her lessons and just watch. Come on a Friday night early and have a great dinner with a couple of lessons but not Saturdays if you can help it. read more

Not the best place for a big party. I called and made reservations a month ago. I was originally told 2 booths were available for my party of 10, then 2 days later I was told that the booths weren't available but 2 tables were. I was hesitant on the tables and asked Veronica (in charge of large parties) where the tables were located. She said they were center of the restaurant not on the side and very close to the dance floor. She failed to mention they were high top tables with barstools farthest from the dance floor. Had I known this, I wouldn't have reserved them. Yes, we were in the center of the saloon but we were in the bar getting elbowed and knocked into the busier it got. Everyone in our party had to pay a $5 cover charge which seems questionable since we were dining there and spending $500 minimum for 12 people. I asked Veronica when I booked the tables if we could order of the restaurant menu but she said not on friday and saturday nights. The guests seated in the booth in front of us clearly orderd off the restaurant menu. Several of my friends noticed this so I asked our server if we could and she apologized and said not on weekends. The bar menu was small and a little disappointing. But the burger was excellent! Probably the best one I've ever had. The bathrooms were extremely clean! The Kelly Rae Band was great. It was difficult to hear the dances the dj was calling out. Usually there is a ton of line dancing which I love, but there was a ton of two stepping last night. Too much two stepping. Usually the bouncers do a great job of keeping the riff raff off the dance floor but I feel like they could have done a better job last night. It might have just been too busy. The dance floor was packed with a lot of crazy drunk girls not interested in line dancing but just flinging their arms and bodies around and stepping on everyone. I wish they would have played less non country music and free style songs and more line dancing songs and dances like watermelon crawl, god bless texas, slappin leather, etc. They called everyone out for the electric slide twice which was awesome! My best friends and I came here to continue my birthday festivities (which started weeks ago really). After dining at The Ranch, we hopped over next door to check it out. We really didn't know what to expect so we came in with open minds, I think. The staff is super attentive and friendly, the floor managers came by and checked on us several times and even ushered to the "reserved" section so we could sit. We unfortunately came improperly dressed since we all had heels on. We did, however, enjoy watching all the fun on the dancefloor. If we knew how to, we would have been down there too; however, at the risk if utterly embarrassing each other, we opted to hang back and watch. The bartenders don't skimp on the alcohol and the service was quick. Pretty sure we'll be back after learning a few moves via Youtube. read more

This is definitely an interesting place. I went here on a Friday night and this place was bumping (for a country bar). They have a huge stage in the middle with a ton of folks line dancing. I would have to say that I did not realize that there were this many people in Southern California that knew how to line dance. Overall the experience was A-OK. It is a pretty big venue and there was a live band that played pretty well. I don't go to that many country bars so I am not sure what to expect. There is a bar that goes around the entire place. I don't think it was as staffed as it should have been. On one side I had to wait a long time for a drink and on the other side it was fairly quick, only waiting five to seven minutes. I think if you enjoy country music, you will enjoy this place. For me it was little to big and open and I had to wait too long for drinks. I think if you enjoy line dancing and the two step on a weekend night, then you would really enjoy coming here. There were a lot of folks that really knew how to tear it up. Saloon review. My husband and our friend visited the saloon for some line dancing, drinks and appetizers on a Friday night. We arrived at the venue at 7:15pm for the line dance lesson. We were checked in quickly and got to the class. All was fine until we ended the class and started the open dancing. We almost immediately got yelled at for dancing around the edge while there was a half full floor of west coasters dancing. We didn't see any signs nor was there any verbal direction about the dance rules. Then, we got yelled at for standing in the wrong place after we excited the dance floor. Next, we tried to get a table and were told they'd have to check if it was available (clearly unoccupied and no reservation sign). We were given the table with a stern warning we could no longer order from the bartender. Then while finishing the two-step with my husband I tripped on the final beat of the song and we laughed. And there immediately showed up a "staff" member asking if we were okay. Given all the earlier events it wasn't clear if he was genuinely checking, or implying we had too much to drink (I hadn't had any and my husband had one $10 beer). Other things to note: the floor was hard and not dance friendly. They charge for Coke even when ordering a beer. The live band was good and it wasn't too loud. The facility is beautiful. The whole time I felt watched and judged. The overall feeling was inhospitable. I've never felt so unwelcome in a venue. I won't be back. read more

But really, I came here for the first time a few months ago and had a blast! I will definitely return for a good night. I came on a Friday. Cover is $5 before 8 and $10 thereafter. The cover changes for different days of the week. Your cover includes 2 line dances (6:30 and 7:30). Check their website to see which dances they will be teaching that day. A live band comes on at 8:00PM to play a bunch of catchy tunes to get your line dance on. There's someone that calls the specific line dance. The only line dance I knew coming into this was the electric slide, but everyone was pretty friendly and didnt mind if I tried to copy them. There's a good mix of line dancing, country 2-step and free dancing. There's a good mix of young and older folks. It was such a fun night! I came, I saw, and I line danced! Take a good look at me and you'll see a born-and-raised Asian girl who doesn't own a pair of cowboy boots - but all the same I sauntered up to the door of the Ranch Saloon (the dancing/music venue side), threw down my $5 for cover and jumped into a rowdy, honky tonk, line dancing, two-steppin', strobe-light fun town. I was definitely nervous at first - There is no shortage of cowboy hats, Daisy Duke shorts, & hair that rivals Dolly Parton's, but the music is a hybrid of country tunes and some random hip hop jams that couples are dancing to, or line dancing to. I came to line dance, and that's what I did - and I actually had a lot of fun! It was crazy-packed when I arrived at 8pm, so be prepared to stand. I wasn't planning on dropping cash for any of the tables and the bars were filled to the brim with folks, so you'll find a corner and end up drinking there. My friends got me a Blue Moon on tap, around $5-6 though I"m not sure. Later I returned to the watering hole for a Whiskey Sour (Knob Creek) which set me back $8.50. If you don't know how to do any of the dances, come early as they told me they hold lessons around 6pm. I just jumped in and danced to the ones I thought would be easy to pick up. Some friendly dancers even showed me how to do some of the dances, which was really nice! Southern hospitality at its best. So it's not your usual nightclub, and it's so new that of course it'll be crowded like crazy and will have plenty of readjustments to make but it was different than bumpin' and grindin' in a dimly lit club for a change. Here's a very thorough review for those of you who are petrified of coming here and would feel better knowing what's going to happen (I was in the exact same boat): First off, I must confess, I am a somewhat corny person-- I try to not take myself too seriously and must also admit I am also pretty easily amused. That being said, I had a fab time at the ranch and have been twice thus far. Now The Ranch is not a place that considers itself hokey at all. In fact with its dark interior, uplit colored lighting, and $5-10 cover fee (depending on when you stop by, check the website for the times and prices), The Ranch actually takes itself quite seriously. So where does the hokey-ness come in? Well for this little Asian girl and her band of slightly nerdy, 626ish, spiked hair, Asian friends, throwing us all into a saloon wrought with line-dancing, hat-wearing, 6-foot cowboys... yeah, that's where the hokey comes in. Definitely a step out of our comfort zone, but with a little booze for the boys, and an open-mindedness, I would say that nearly all of our friends ended up enjoying the night. Attire is a bit looser than what I thought it would be. I'd recommend close-toed shoes (cowboy boots anyone?), but for the ladies, sandals with back straps are welcomed. In the summer, I'd say most of the gals had shorts and a nice top (plaid of course more than welcome). For the guys, shorts are against the code. I'd recommend jeans, shoes, and a button down shirt, though v-necks and T's are allowed. In terms of the crowd, one thing I did like is that there was a nice mix of age groups. Definitely a lot of young people, but a good sampling of more "mature" folks who I must say were the ones who absolutely KILLED IT on the dance floor. I HIGHLY recommend going early for the line dance lessons (again, find the times online). This is your only hope to participate in any of the more difficult line dances. Lessons are fun and I didn't sense a whole lot of judgement from the other participants, which I did indeed appreciate. It also helps to see some swanky, cowboy lookers struggling a bit during the lessons too. During the actual night, the songs and types are announced: Line-dances are choreographed, individual moves-- feel free to jump in and learn some of the easier songs, though if you're getting too much in the way, you will be asked to leave the floor. Two-stepping is freestyle time for the couples. Ladies, stand just outside the dance floor to indicate that you are open to being asked to dance. Freestyles are chances to get your groove on. Finally, I didn't catch the name but there are also choreographed couple dances, which we had absolutely no chance to get in on, but enjoyed watching. Overall, as said, I thoroughly enjoyed The Ranch. Must say that you definitely cannot take yourself too seriously, or you will not be willing to jump in and give the dances a try. It does take effort to learn the moves. Try your best, have fun, and enjoy. So strap on your cowboy boots and give it a try! Yeehaw (har har)! read more

Open seating at the two bars and stool seating around dance floor but everything was taken and pretty packed the whole hour and half we there. If seems as if you needed to know the dance moves to be on the dance floor. They did announce that they taught people the steps earlier that evening.. Unfortunately we missed that. Drinks seemed pretty cheap. Blue moon beer was $6 and vodka soda was $6.50. Live band came on stage 8:30 and they were really good. Sang popular hits by Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum and Eagles. It would have been nice to have a table or a seat to sit back and watch. My friend and I couldn't even get on the dance floor and act like we can do the dance steps due to our large purses. My wife and other family members went there last night for a bachelorette party and they were treated very badly. They Actually had to leave after just over an hour because of how badly they were harassed and treated. Our family is very racially diverse, open to all sexual orientation and respectful of everyone, but they were treated horribly by some staff and other patrons. I have lived in California my entire life and honestly never expected to hear that any establishment would allow such treatment of its customers from their staff or other customers. I made reservations for a table of 6 for my future daughter n'laws Bridal Bachelorette a few days before and spoke to Jennifer @theranch. My daughter was receiving emails from and even spoke to her. Jennifer let us know we are not allowed to have more than 6 people sitting at any time and that she would put us in a booth at the end near the restrooms so our group could order drinks easily. So I told and explained to all my family in advance that we would order drinks and food through my credit card that I gave to the very rude waitress and we should rotate to take breaks because most of the girls would be dancing anyways. Immediately after paying our $10 entrance fee I noticed the girl at front spoke to security about our group. Our group of all 15+ WOMEN of different ethnicity and sexual orientation were immediately told over and over again "can't stand by the table" "can't walk by the table" "can't talk to anyone at the table if 6 people are there" "can't stand still on the dance floor" " if you don't know the dance you should not be on the floor" "why are you wearing a mask?" They followed us around, they literally had a security guard not more than 10 feet from our table at all times. In the hour and half that we were there we were totally bullied and harassed felt as if they never wanted us there in the first place. We were paying customers we ordered drinks and not one time was anyone every nice or respectful to us women. VERY UPSETTING, THIS BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE TRAINED ON DIVERSITY!! Pretty nice place for a bday party. We were placed in a private room with our own bar. Nice touch for party of 14. Plenty of parking,and super easy to spot location,in a visible location. We arrived 15min. Early so bar we went. Great bartendar Britney, gave us good customer service. Our party was greeted and sat right away.... NOW, lets talk food. Our waitress gave us a run down on what the Specials they had. Super quickly but very detailed. We were surprised she memorized all that. Hubby went for the prime rib, while others went for other choice cuts. All the plates were Huge, for sharing and had either a mashed potatoes or scalloped potatoes with soup or salad. Long review: Went with a large group to celebrate my dad's birthday. The place is cool even though the location is a bit awkward. Once inside, it's really nice. We were seated on time and service was great. The waiter went through the specials and I heard "Delmonico" steak. It was really noisy so I missed the price. I was thinking about the Tomahawk but, for $116, it seemed excessive. So, I ordered the Delmonico thinking it would be a reasonably priced steak. Everyone else ordered and we piled on the appetizers and drinks. We tried a ton of things: Crudo (ok), Ceviche (ok), Artichoke (perfect), and the Quail (my favorite). The onion soup was awesome. Their bread was just fine although cool to look at. Now, why only 3 stars? Well, as the mains arrived, this incredibly huge hunk of meat was set down in front of me. It looked amazing and I said so. One of my brothers said, "it better be amazing for $135!" That was when I finally heard the price. My bad. Regardless, I was ready to to conquer it. I sliced into the meat and it was a solid and tough (with no give) and light pink from the top to the bottom. Zero fat. I ordered it medium rare but I think this steak only has one temperature (done). Even in a filet there is minor marbling. Not this guy. I brushed it off and took and bite and I felt like I was eating a pot roast that had been thrown on a BBQ. It was inedible. It was a chewy mess. My sister and niece had ordered the same thing and also couldn't eat theirs. So disappointing. So, I tried my wife's short ribs and they were great. I also tried some of the NY Strip and a Tomahawk and I was pissed that I ordered wrong. However, I had enough of the appetizers, soup and bread so I was good. The manager came over to ask us how things were and I told him about the steak. He offered his apologies and asked if I wanted something else. At that point, it was too late in the meal and everyone was done. After reading all the reviews about the "manager with attitude," I was expecting an argument but the guy was cool and just took both steaks ($270!!!) off the bill. So, again, why the 3 stars? 1. It was at least 40 minutes from when the steak arrived when we were finally asked if we were enjoying our meal. I could have ordered something else. 3. It was $135!!! Anyway, I will be back and I will update this review. The rest of my family (except my sister and niece) said it was a 4-5 Star meal. The Ranch will be better next time. What can you not love about this place steak and country music. The food is what you would expect from a high end bar. The drinks are also well made and hit their mark. The bands playing are not great, but they kind of get better as the night goes on. You will easily spend 250.00 to 300.00 for dinner and drinks for a couple. read more

Came here with my parents for a few drinks and settled In quickly. We ordered a coconut rum with pineapple juice, a bottle of Miller lite and a titos and lemonade. Our first tab came to $25 for the 3. My mom then ordered her own rum and pineapple and was charged $7.50. My dad ordered his own beer- $5. So that left my titos and lemonade to be $12.50? So I ordered my own. $10. And then We all ordered again. A new total. $29. They were just making up the prices as they went. And i even saw the first guy tell the other guy to charge us more. Had my 32nd Birthday get together at the Saloon last Friday night...and I'm pretty sure we'll be back for #33. I chose to reserve 3 tables for the evening, seeing that I had 15 people coming down. Now, at first the $250 minimum per table had me worried, but between the amazing food and (many) drinks we all had that night, meeting the minimum wasn't very difficult at all. Our server (Apologies, forgot her name - longer hair, pony tail) was great and she made sure everyone in my party was taken care of throughout the night. Brad Johnson and The Killing Time Band was outstanding, mixing classics with current hits and getting everyone, including myself, out on the dance floor. I'm a country girl at heart but definitely have two left feet when it comes to dancing, lol. My girlfriends and I came to celebrate my 31st birthday and let's say it was one of the best birthdays, ever. We were in country fare, my cowgirl boots, flannel top, Levi jeans and pony tails. Hell, I even started saying "y'all", haha. It must have been all those amazing drinks folks kept sending to our table as a "happy birthday" gift. I think? Anyway, we inhaled the drinks like we were on Survivor. The ambiance to this place is upscale country. Beautifully decorated, clean, great amenities. No complaints. I do like the fact that you can call in advance to reserve tables. The surcharge at the door is affordable. Make sure to have cash. I will be honest here. We were a group of 28! We had ordered soo much food that it could feed an Army. I can't select one item that I enjoyed the best. Why? They were all damn delicious. The drinks however. Oh my god. The bartenders there are top notch. I had asked for a bizarre mix of flavors, lol. I admit I was a little tipsy since whisky makes a lady a little frisky, ya know? The bartender made this concoction with pineapple, passion fruit, apple, lavender and probably the kitchen sink. Served in a martini glass. I told him I hated olives. Instead he used maraschino cherries. My man! Lemme tell ya. Don't order shots of FireBall, then have a few AMF's and a Moscow Mule. You'll end up grinding the wall and thinking it's your SO, lol. I don't know how I managed to lose one damn boot but it was found and I had my girlfriend to the walk of shame to redeem it for me. She's a keeper. They have live music and have beginners lessons for folks like me. They invite you to join anddddddd everybody gets down. To all my single ladies if you want a HOT country man. This is your spot lol. They also have various evenings for dance lessons. I just may sign up so I can boogie down and not look like a drunk elephant trying to sway its trunk (legs) Lord help me. The waitress was a tad rude at first. I THINK the manager overheard her being snarky. She came back oh so nice and lovely. (PS a CO-worker had her engagement party or Wedding at this location. Whenever I'm in Southern California, I try and stop here for a visit. I love the music, food, and people watching. For food- the buffalo chicken sandwich, sliders, and nachos are my favorite go-to items The line dancing is so much fun and a great workout. Only downside is the seating. I wish there were more options for my friends who'd prefer to chat than dance. read more
