The sandwiches are stuffed with a mound of Deli meats and check out the daily specials. They also have real Taylor ham, not the no name pork roll. There is also a drive up/pick up window for convenience. There is plenty of room for dine in with a nice and neat country theme. What a great place. The food was delicious. The decor was fun. The workers were friendly, helpful, and kind! The prices were reasonable. They speak Spanish as well. The kids enjoyed all the roosters big and small. We ordered pancakes, a black and white cookie, a breakfast sandwich with Taylor ham(pork roll) egg and cheese, on an everything bagel, and a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Absolutely outstanding!! Stopped by here after dropping off my boyfriend at work, he is an avid reckless rooster patron and I had to try it for myself. It is so delicious I am definitely going to make the hike back out that way again! The bagels were fresh and chewy and delicious. I did a bacon egg and cheese on an onion bagel toasted(added jalapeño cheddar cream cheese too because it sounds yummy) and it was so beyond satisfying. The jalapeño cheddar cream cheese was actually spicy which isn't always the case. Staff is also super friendly and engaging! First experience here, about 6 months ago, was extremely positive. Today, not so much. Aside from unadvertised price increases, because everything that makes a good bagel sandwich increases price, the bagel was burnt, the premium jalapeño bacon was burnt and almost non-existent. One of the worst burgers I've ever had. The burger was so small it got lost in the kaiser roll it was served on and it was like eating a hockey puck. Ok. Gave this place another chance. Cannot get past how genuinely nice everyone is here. Friendly and down- home vibe; nothing is a hassle or a problem. Staff is there to make sure you are comfortable and will listen patiently and try to accommodate you any way they can. When my wife and I were leaving they insisted we take as many "bagels" as we could carry because they were closing down for the day (around 2pm after lunch) and giving away any leftover bread. They weren't really bagels, just bagel-shaped bread but it's the thought. Now the food - I ordered a NY sandwich; a steak sandwich with Swiss cheese and mushrooms on Texas toast - utterly and absolutely tasteless. Like eating air. Even after dumping ketchup, salt, pepper and hot sauce - barely a whisper of flavor. Like they took packaged roast beef from the cold cut aisle and fried it. Horrible sandwich. My wife had the chicken and fried egg (cock-a-doo?) breakfast sandwich and somehow they managed to remove all the flavor from that as well. I didn't believe my wife that you could somehow manage to make a fried chicken and egg sandwich tasteless but they do it at the Reckless Rooster. So this place gets an average of 2.5 stars after two visits only because of the people working there and their marvelous service attitude. The food is atrocious. Bagels were great and very fresh. We also did an online order for lunch for curbside. The app they used asked for vehicle color, make and model so they could bring it out to you. I also added order notes for 2 of the sandwiches to be plain. My son went to pick up the order and we never received the 2nd text to say the order was ready, nor did they ever bring it out. I called after 40 minutes and the lady reviewed my order and I reminded her of the 2 plain chicken sandwiches. She said "oh we can't see any order notes here" but the order is sitting right here. I told her I didn't want the two chicken sandwiches if they weren't plain so she finally offered to fix them. I had to send my son in to pick up the order. Decent food but they shouldn't use an online app for ordering if they don't know how to use it properly. Hopefully they will either discontinue it or get instruction on how to use.
