After weeks of research, I decided on Revivifi for my new Rivian R1S. I reached out to Mel and my entire experience was incredible. He took the time to answer all of my questions and show me around the shop. Mel and Zach only do one vehicle at a time to give it 100% attention and it shows. I had some heavy scratching on the passenger side from some over zealous offroading right after I purchased. Zach got 99% of these scratches out perfectly and the couple that were through the clear coat are way less noticeable now. The paint correction and prep is incredibly important before a coating and they are absolutely the best there is in my opinion. The coating gave my vehicle an incredible gloss and an almost deeper/richer look to the launch green paint. It really is immaculate and I couldn't imagine a better finish. The paint literally glows, with every scratch and swirl mark now polished out to a smooth, better than "factory fresh" finish. The ceramic coating over the paint restoration means that in 15 minutes with some rinse-less car wash and a microfiber cloth, it looks just like it did the day Mel finished it, EVERY DAMN DAY! With all the contaminants in the air around here, (you know...you see it the very next day after a detail, that coat of dust and grime; and what is that mustard drops looking stuff anyway???) this is the ONLY way to go if you love your car as much as my wife does! I took my 2006 indigo ink pearl SC430 to Mel to see if it was possible to remove the heavy hologram that the previous owner had buffed into the paint. The paint also had 15 years of neglect resulting in various sap, water, and other contaminants staining the paint. The results Mel achieved are simply unbelievable. The dull lifeless paint is completely restored to better than original condition. The hologram and stains are completely gone. The depth of the paint is amazing. It looks like you could dive right into the paint. I also had the Revivify coating applied to the finish which added to the depth and gloss of the paint. The Revivify left a smooth protective coating that should protect the paint for years to come. I had a yellow bird dropping on the car after the coating and the bird poop simply wiped off with a microfiber cloth. To say I'm happy with Mel's work would be a huge understatement. I was referred to HB Detailing Pro for my Acura TSX. Yes, just an Acura TSX, so when I walked in to the shop, I felt a bit intimidated just because the shop looked like a specialty high end detailing place. However, what I want to share with the yelp community is that I was treated so well and felt welcome and not judged at all by both a gal that looked over my car initially and then by Mel, the owner. I was greeted warmly and the exchange of information was so sincere and there was a genuine interest in their desire to address the problems with my car. The shop was ultra clean and organized. Though I ended up not having my car detailed at this shop because I decided to pursue the other options Mel had suggested, I'd still encourage you to consider HB Detailing Pros if you are serious about getting your car detailed properly, especially, if your vehicle has unique challenging situations. Also, I read a few of the negative reviews on yelp, and his response seemed pretty solid and I would bet that he's someone that delivers and stands behind his work and really cares about quality work and is a man of good character. I have know Mel for over 17 years and have used dozens of detailer's over the years. I can confidently say Mel as leaps and bounds above all of them, in fact the others aren't in the same league. Mel has "Quality" detailed, pain correct and applied ceramic coated my 2009 Ferrari F430, 2009 GTR, 2 Viper's, Evo MR, Lexus SC430, and my Porsche 997 Turbo Cab need I go on! So I just picked up a Mercedes E63 S AMG (all my cars are black, all of them). I had issues with the last Detailer applying a ceramic coat. It horrified me when I saw my amazing new car with scratches, holograms and spider swirls all over the car! Holy crap! Mel spent 3 days and the car is absolutely amazing! Thanks a million as the car almost cleans itself. I use a California duster where it barely touches the surface to get the initial dust off then Mel's water-less car wash sparingly. Ok so long story short, two nights ago I sideswiped a yellow post in a parking lot trying to avoid a head on collision with some jerk barreling into the parking lot with no headlights on. I ended up with some nice yellow "racing stripes" all across my passenger side, front to back. I stopped by to get my car detailed and met with the owner. My hood and top of the truck are oxidized and i was hoping i could buff some of it out. He was honest and said it can't be fixed. He also showed me the plastic areas, that can and can't be improved. What i liked was simply being honest and not encouraging me to waste my money, which he could have and i would have done. Mel is literally the best in the business. Not even exaggerating. This man took my BMW M4 and made it look like an orange mirror on wheels. He took his time ceramic coating it and the attention to detail is impeccable. I brought it in with swirls, micro scratches, and contaminated paint. Not to mention, paint chips from my aggressive daily driving. He exceeded all expectations and I was really blown away when I picked up my car. The gloss is enhanced and the lines of the car are more pronounced. He did a full coating of the exterior, interior, engine bay, and wheels and it is well worth it. Recently took our Jeep Gran Cherokee here as we had some unknown substance sprayed on the side of the vehicle. Dried on and no idea what it was.
