We stopped here after picking lavender and we really enjoyed it. It's not a large place but it was very clean and had quite a bit of seating. The menu isn't huge but it has a good variety of food to choose from. I had a burger and it was very good. It was a little pink but I didn't ask for it well done. I cannot remember what it was called but it had jalapeño peppers and teriyaki sauce. I omitted the cheese. Others in our group had BLTs and fish and chips. The homemade fries were very good. My husband and I stopped in on our way to a more northern spot in vt and had two of the best salads we have ever had. I recognize this sounds ridiculous, but we have literally been talking about the tender curly sweet juicy lettuce the used for days now, so much so i am prompted to write this review. He had the working mans steak tip potato skin salad, i had the the blueberry pistachio feta with shrimp and Italian dressing and will for sure be making it back for more next summer when we visit new england. I was driving back from a morning on job sites and wanted something much better than McDonald's. I had the black and blue steak bowl over rice with their Caesar salad which was very good. The staff was very friendly and the space is really cozy and cute. Definitely hop off the highway and find this place. read more

I'm not a local, but I can see how Reed's North could be a beloved local spot. It was the perfect ending after a day on the slopes. The waitress was very sweet, and service was great as our food came out very quickly. I had been craving chicken tenders all day, and the tenders appetizer hit the spot. They weren't overly fried, too greasy or salty, had plenty of chicken, and you can get all the dipping sauces if you want. The working man's salad was well balanced on the greens/protein, wasn't drenched in the teriyaki sauce, but the steak tips were a bit chewy (not too bad though). Overall, cute and quaint spot, affordable, and has live music around 6 pm! I'd probably be a regular if I lived close by. read more

Met a friend there for appetizers and drinks yesterday. Very friendly service and no pressure to leave. We started with chicken wings, which were very good, but we were still hungry after those. We ordered the nachos with pulled pork. They were very tasty and filled us up. They have a nice selection of beers on tap, wines, and an extensive shelf array of hard liquor. After several visits (because the service and food is decent), I've witnessed that the atmosphere seems enjoyable (at least for the locals). Unfortunately, the acoustics are deafening. Too many hard surfaces making it wayyyy to easy to hear every occupant all at once, along with utensils clanging, and even bodily noises. If they upgrade ceiling tiles to acoustic quality or add wall absorptive panels, then I'll be back & recommend to friends. read more

We stumbled across this hole in the wall restaurant in Warner NH and I'm so glad we did. This small restaurant had a homey feel with home cooked food. I had a pasta and veggie dish, it was good I just wish there was a little more veggies in it. My husband had the Texas Roadhouse with pulled pork and he said it was delicious. He also had a mixed drink that he loved. Even though it was trivia night and the place was packed the service was friendly and prompt. I stopped in for dinner at Reed's North (formerly The Local) in Warner very recently on a rainy night. They just had their soft opening last week and it was very busy especially over the weekend. The owners of the Flannel Tavern in Chichester opened Reed's North which serves up new American fare in a welcoming setting with an open dining room with tables and a full bar with seating and one TV in the corner. The place is bright and clean with a few framed old pictures of Warner hanging on the wall. As for the food, the menu is limited with appetizers (chicken tenders, wings, popcorn shrimp, nachos, steak & cheese egg rolls, pretzel), salads, haddock sandwich, flannel burger, main entrees, and desserts (changes weekly, they had cheesecake). The bar offers eight beers on tap and a selection of mixed drinks. The price is here are pretty fair. When I arrived, I was greeted at the door and I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar or a table. I asked for a table and was told to sit at a two-seater table in the back corner which is fine with me. Menus for food and drinks were brought over and I started out with a ice water and Buffalo Chicken Nachos ($10.95) as an appetizer. The nachos came out quickly which were piled high on an 8-inch plate, breaded pieces of buffalo chicken tenders, tri-color crispy tortilla chips with melted cheddar jack cheese, onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños with pico de Gallo and sour cream. Next for dinner, I ordered the Lasagne Rolls ($13.95) served with side salad and buttered garlic bread. The basic side salad served chilled was comprised of a mix of lettuce, shedded carrots, cucumber, red onion, crunchy croutons, and dressing on the side. The Lasagne Rolls entree was served hot, two rolls of lasagna noodles rolled up with ricotta cheese filling and top with a thick hearty sweet meat sauce and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. The 2 thick garlic toast slices were buttered on both sides. As I was finishing up my entree, the waitress suggested pumpkin cheesecake or NY cheesecake for dessert which was the only thing they had. Those desserts were not made in-house and I was hoping they had their apple crisp with vanilla ice cream, but maybe next time. The total check with tax and before tip was $27.02. Overall, the food I had was very good and very filling to eat. The service was prompt and friendly and I was presented the check on a digital screen which I can pay at my table with my credit card or leave them cash. Nice location with good standard pub fare. Large alcohol selection to include extensive bourbon list. There was one lady working the lunch hour and she did a great job. Normally we like Reed's. Food is decent American pub fare. Usually reliable. Tonight was the exception. Sorry, Reed's, but in the year 2024 in an American pub there is just no excuse for bad french fries. This is not the first time. We haven't mentioned it before because, as stated above, we normally like Reed's and consider it the best option in the Warner area. But wow guys-- over-cooked, stale fries? And they were cold. We'll try Reed's again because usually it is better, but this would have been much easier to take if it wasn't something so basic as french fries that were bad. Were these re-warned from lunch? I had lunch/Early Supper, here recently! First rate corn chowder and a mushroom and swiss burger! Great local beers at a premium price for a small local spot! Reed's North has been open for a few months now. They did a wonderful job renovating the space and it's bright and airy feeling. They started off with a smaller menu, but have started to expand their menu quite a bit. The service is great and everyone is friendly and kind. The burgers and salads are tasty and well made. Nachos are giant and yummy. We also like the fish and chips. There is a pasta dish that sometimes is terrific and sometimes is liquid like tomato bisque soup. Also, it's over angel hair which is a strange choice with a pink sauce like that. Penne or fusilli would hold the sauce better and be much easier to eat. They have daily soups and creative drink specials. On Sunday they have live music which is terrific. I definitely recommend Reed's North. read more

My family and I came in at 5pm on a Saturday and the place was not too busy, just right. My 2 girls shared a kids chicken tenders but they're little kids. My partner had the flannel burger and it was really good, cooked perfectly. I had the fish sandwich and it was yummy. Loved the coleslaw and the dill tartar sauce. The decor was lovely. We've been here maybe half a dozen times since it opened. The food is excellent, the prices are good, the waitstaff is happy and attentive, and the patrons are friendly. It checks all the boxes for me. Tonight my wife got the mac & cheese topped with pulled pork, which was excellent. The portions are generous so we brought home what she wasn't able to finish. I got the fish & chips, which might be the best I've ever had. I've been to restaurants all over the country and I honestly can't remember a better fish & chips. Also the tarter sauce is homemade, which is important to me. I don't know how the desserts are because we've always been too full to try them. So- I have tried to like this place- and the burgers are very good...as is the Reuben-but the service is just terrible-every time-take out -which went on for a while- has been clipped and rude. When I called to ask about it during a dinner hour-I was rudely put off-with a no- I can't do take out-I 'm in the middle of the dinner rush. Living so close to this place and given their location- local folks who would like to patronize but just can't go and sit--should be seen as another revenue source. I am writing this review for my 83-year-old mother, who went this past weekend for brunch with a few of her equally-aged friends. I'm giving the place a 2-star on her recommendation based on the quality of the food. However, my mother was charged $32 fo two chocolate chip pancakes, a side of bacon, orange juice and coffee. The others in her group ordered a breakfast burrito, a waffle, and an omlet, with similar sides, and were charged $14-$16 each. My mom actually questioned the server, and was told the pancakes were $10.95 EACH! Not $10.95 for two, which apparently was misleading on the menu (doesn't matter to me, $11 plus tax for a single pancake is outragous). I'm wondering if it was a server error, or if the place needs a menu adjustment. read more

wonderful place! both my wife's "Flannel Burger" (Burger topped with corned beef, pickles, mustard on a brioche roll) and my "Chicken Caprese" (Buttermilk grilled chicken with fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, mayo and balsamic reduction on a fresh brioche roll) were excellent. Food was ok. We had the fried scallops, a burger which was very bland and nachos which were ok. Service was good and prompt. Vibe was weird - way too bright - like being in an operating room.
