The theme and ambiance of this place is very distinct. I ordered the shrimp and garlic appetizer along with the chicken tacos and two sangritas which were perfect. All the food was well seasoned. The garlic shrimp is some of the best I've ever had. Very filling for $12. The tacos were huge in size and also very filling. However, I noticed one individual who I would assume would be the manager or owner because he inquired about service to the patrons around the restaurant and bar area. Moreover. I distinctly noticed that he skipped past my table conveniently and did not ask about our service and I have a huge issue with this as it was very obvious. Nonetheless, wait service was fantastic and very attentive. This place is very retro themed with specific food catering to the "south of the board taste." My favorite things on the menu are the tacos and the Steak Nachos. I have to say that the fish tacos are the best that I have ever had... from any place EVER. I've brought multiple friends here and they have expressed the same. The food here is wonderful, if you can ever catch it open. They are the most unreliable restaurant around. There is no rhyme or reason for when they are open or closed. There website will say they are open, their sign will say they are open and they still will be closed. Make sure you call before you venture out. read more

We never really try this place before 1)The food fresh amazing 2) The drinks We're OK but to me they were kind of slacking on the alcohol 3) The shots that they had that night we're pretty good 4) If you were going to this place you are going to spend money the price I paid for just Three people and that only ordered Three Shrimp tacos and a three chicken taco and a stake with side of Vegetables In total there were Six alcoholic drinks Two club soda and Vaca Two Pineapple and vodka And two rum and Coke Three orders of shooters shots ... Not much of a savings but there is a healthy portion of complimentary chips and salsa. The bartenders are very attentive and friendly. Now let's talk about the food! The fish tacos were so tasty! The fish was plump, flaky and fried to perfection. I didn't get the tartar sauce on it. But the meal came with shareable rice and black beans. I added the beans to the tacos. Amazingggg. I'll still come here from time to time.... when I have a taste for a strong margarita and to have their complimentary salsa and chips. YUM The main food is hit or miss.... however Last time I was there- I had the specialty mango fish tacos and they were BANGIN' Their decor is unique ... I love it. This place can be very busy. Personally I don't like the big dining room in the back. It gets very loud from talking from large parties that are sat there. I like to be able to be able to hear and hold conversation with my company. I like the dining area near the bar. The bar is small and tight. I love how it's decorated. A lot of candles that are melted and lit. Kinda sexy. The older guy with white hair has been a consistently great bartender thru the past years. I prefer for him to make my drinks. Always on point . A repeat visit to Red Cadillac, this time i got there too late and the kitchen was closed for the night but i saw still served chips and salsa which was a nice touch. There was live music going on when I was there which was a nice touch. Came here yesterday for a late lunch . My guest and I got seated in the bar area and shortly after got greeted and served water from a gasoline tank , which was cool . they give you chips & salsa to start off with as well . I had the spicy margarita , which could've been spicier but it was good (I had 3) For the main course I ordered the shrimp fajitas , and my guests ordered the steak burrito . we both enjoyed our food and pretty much ate it all . Great drinks! Good food! I came here with fellow yelper, Robert D., on a Thursday evening. It was an unusually hot day in March and it felt fitting to dine here. Their parking lot was full at 5:30pm but the owner was outside and told us to park across the street at TD Bank. It was fine without incident. I personally found live music by singer Dave Alen pretty pleasant and sometimes, amusing. That evening, he sang a mix of 90s "alternative" songs by REM, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, etc. plus some Eagles tunes... especially, "Tequila Sunrise". Service started off a little slow but soon improved. I ordered a "Mag Wheel Mango Rita". It came in a tall glass (see picture), was very mangoey, and LOADED. I thoroughly enjoyed it. We sampled three appetizers instead of entrees for dinner: "Chicken Quesadilla", "Abuelas Empanadas" (filled with pork), and "Muscle Car Mussels" (green New Zealand mussels in a tomato-based sauce). All were more Tex-Mex than Mexican but very tasty and satisfying. The quesadillas were better here than other places in the area. This food is exactly what you want while you're drinking. read more

Finally got to stop in with the wife on a date night ! Just a short 20 minute wait on this Friday night . A good time to test out the house infused tequilas at the bar while you wait . Wife said it's the best jalapeño marg she ever had . Infused tequila is a world of difference from flavored tequila . The tequilas we had were delicious and surprisingly smooth . As you walk, or drive up to--like i did, to The Red Cadillac you will be greeted by a red cadillac right in the front of the restaurant. what a surprise! its permentaly there, and its guarding what looks like a very small house--possibly something you'd find out in Cali or New Mexico. Once inside, your eyes will immediately move around in a frenzy, to try to catch a glimpse of every possible item that is inside. Although dark, it is intimate and romantic. Theres splashes of red, dark lights, candles, framed pictures all over---even waxed candles melting down and pouring all of the place. The bar itself is small, but hidden off to the side. Theres even retro seating and a couch area to lounge on when theres live entertainment. Instantly i was in love with the decor and felt excited just to be here. Once at the table, you will be forced to stuff your mouth with the free salsa and tortillas. which were fresh and hot- along with a tangy but slight spicy salsa. It was deff. a nice treat while waiting for our food. My usual drink to drink is water w/lemon, and unlike other estalbishments---the water comes from non other than a red gas tank holder. looks a little crazy, but it deff brought a little chuckle to me. Friday nights are the best here! They have live music skmetimes and it gets pretty crowded. Came for an early dinner before the crowds started coming in. If come with a group i recommend RSVP. Food: i had the chicken enchiladas topped with avocado and special mole sauce. The enchiladas were really good. I dont think i fell in love with the mole sauce like i was hoping to. I love homemade tortillas so i enjoyed them. Their tbone steak was also cooled perfectly and tasted really good. Service was good....they came around a few times to check on us. Drink: margarita boat which comes with a beer. This is a strong drink so caution and its a big jar! Parking lot is available with valet parking for free! Water arrives in what is supposed to be a kitschy jug but just looks dirty and wait staff seem to be in no real hurry to help out. Such a great hidden gem. I haven't been to this restaurant in over seven years and came back because I had an event in the area. Upon my surprise after entering, the place had some renovations and some new decor and seating arrangements. We arrived around 4 PM and it wasn't too crowded, but noticed that they were now only offering valet parking in their parking lot, which was unusual. Luckily we were able to find street parking, because valet parking isn't necessarily can a convenience for everyone. We started out with their classic margaritas and they did not disappoint. The chips and salsa were also a great addition and tasted so authentic. We then went on to try their special of the night which was jalapeño dumpling poppers. The sweet-and-sour sauce was out of this world. Additionally for our dinner entrées, we had the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos. Both entrées came with rice and beans, however they served us one serving of rice and beans to share for the table, which I thought was a bit unusual. I also saw that there was another table that arrived after us and they got served their dinner prior to us, so I'm not sure where the heck up was, however we weren't in a rush so we didn't say anything. The fish and shrimp were extremely fresh very tasteful. We enjoyed our visit to Jersey and I definitely will be back whenever we return to the state. read more

Ah... the red caddy. It's so fun the first time you go, a feast for the senses with the hub caps and car theme. We used to love it here but the fun theme wears off over time when the food doesn't keep up. The menu has shrunk and what's left isn't always the best. Killer food, quality drinks and a cool retro vibe, this place is great! Food: Between all of us we tried the burrito, enchilada and fajitas. The quality was really impressive! Everything was very fresh, the steak in the fajitas was perfectly tender and it wasn't all drown in cheese like some places. The drinks were good, we had some margarittas and then asked if they could make a spicy version, which came out fantastic. The staff were fast and like everyone else is saying, it appeared as if we had one waitress for drinks and one for food so we diddnt really have to wait long for anything. The atmosphere was also lively, a retro vibe but the live music on Friday night was great and had half the place singing along. Came here on a Saturday night with two other people and got seated right away. There was live music playing, and the interior is decorated pretty cute going along with the theme of red Cadillac (obviously). Parking was hard as there is a small lot, but was valet. Pros: - Vibes are really cute. Definitely a place to grab drinks and food with friends. - salsa and chips were good. - service was amazing and our waitress was extremely attentive. Even upon leaving someone working at the restaurant opened the door for us. Cons: - we ordered the shrimp fajitas, pork tacos and fish tacos. All were subpar, which is why I give this place a 3/5. It wasn't horrible, just wasn't amazing and a little bland. - very pricey for what it is. Our three tacos were $18. That's $6 a taco!!! That's not even what I pay in NYC!! A margarita was $12 which is also pretty expensive. Overall I probably will not come back here as the food just wasn't good enough for me to return. However, I would come back if I were grabbing drinks and maybe just to have chips + salsa/guacamole. But with these prices I'd rather just go to NYC and get a cheaper, better tasting taco. read more

Great place for Tex-Mex food! Been here quite a few times, only once have I felt it being a four-star experience, rather than a full five-stars. Let's begin: Parking: Nice little place located both next to a busy street, and a quiet residential street. I usually come from the West, so I make the turn into the side street where I can either curb park, or make the left turn into the parking lot and park myself into an empty space of the car repair shop next door or let the valet of Red Cadillac take care of it. Your choice. If it's busy on the weekends, the side streets might be your best bet. Ambiance: Automotive. When you get to the front, there's a Cadillac by the entrance. Then the door guy/girl opens the front door for ya, nice touch! Inside, automotive themed decors adores the whole place, I love it! The color red is rampant through out, gives it a nice vibe. If you want to have a cozy dinner with your honey bunny, this is a good place for it! They can also seat bigger groups, so not to worry. The bar is kinda small though, but they do have smaller tables by the bar. Food: Phenomenal. I haven't had a bad meal here yet, and I hope they keep it that way! I usually get whatever the special is, save for one time, I got the regular tacos dinner. I got the pork shank fajitas this time and it was great! Very flavorful, and tender. Red Cadillac spices their dishes well in my opinion, so if you want bland, this is not the place for you. The rest of the party enjoyed their meal as well so this is for sure one of our favorite places. Almost forgot, I got a white bean soup to start, and it was delicious! Also nice and hot just the way I like it! HOT! People from other restaurants take note: Don't let your customer's soup linger on the kitchen counter, getting cold... Get it out asap! By the way, cool story: This one time I was there, the margaritas and your boy was not getting along at all, I got some serious heartburn like that feeling when Dez caught it, and the zebras said he didn't.
