This spot is so cute! It has a charmping, hipster vibe. I tried the vanilla oatmilk latte which was creamy and sweet. The brown sugar sea salt latte was a lot sweeter than I prefer. We tried an asiago basil popover and oatmeal cream pie. Both pastries were delcious and tasted fresh. They have limited seating area.

Cute coffee/baked goods shop in Indian Village neighborhood! This place checks all the boxes for me. Single origin beans pour overs and delightful baked yummies? I'm there!! Mushroom savory hand pie: so good! Sort of like Thanksgiving stuffing flavor in a flaky pastry! Warm it up in a toaster oven to make it a hot pocket! Zucchini chocolate bread: zucchini thankfully isn't a dominant flavor here. Deep chocolatey goodness! Berry crumble: like a hand portable berry/cake! So good with coffee! I also got one of their ethiopian single origin pour over coffee which was delightful. Currently it's only walk up due to COVID but it looks pretty cute on the inside.

We've enjoyed visiting Red Hook Ferndale since moving to the area in 2014, so we were thrilled to learn that they moved into the former Great Lakes Coffee in midtown. The space is large and they've done a terrific job with the space-ample room between tables, cool vintage objects and plants create a comfy, welcoming environment. The staff are so kind and welcoming! Coffee and baked goods are of the quality we expect and there are gluten-free and vegan pastry options.

This is a must visit place in Mid-town. It has so much potential to be a really good local hangout. I loved the vibe and it's just a cool place. They serve coffee, tea and some food items. One recommendation is to add Skinny Syrup or Sugar-free syrup for non-sugar people. Perhaps Stevia packets could be added. Other than that I loved it!

This is the coffee baked goods bar where your order is taken, prepped, and served.

This is a hidden gem in an area of the city that has incredible potential to become a very cool district. They are a true coffee house. Their coffee is low acidity and not bitter. This place does coffee the way coffee should be done. Adding anything to a latte from Red Hook is like adding ketchup to a filet; It requires nothing other than consumption and appreciation. The staff is always kind and professional. The seating area is an awesome blend of original mid century construction with some modern clean-up. I would absolutely encourage everyone to check out the Red Hook.

Red Hook was a great spot to get to-go coffee! Though it's walk up only and cashless, the cafe au lait I ordered was absolutely delicious and the staff was fast and fantastic! The neighborhood is super cute as well, and can't wait to be back once open normally again!

Enviroment, drinks and staffs are combined pefectly. I took 30 mins to come here, but it's truly worthy. I'll be back . 5 Stars

The staff is very friendly here. I tried their bacon, egg + cheese biscuit and it was really good! Their pour over is also nice. What I liked the most is their chai. I had a hot chai w- oat milk and it's the best chai I've had in awhile. Would recommend!

Charming coffee shop located on a quiet street filled with beautiful art both inside and out (large floral mural across the street and beautiful bird paintings on the ceiling of The Red Hook). Where? Located in the Indian Village neighborhood. My recent visit to The Red Hook also marked my first time trying Golden Milk (which was delightful). The space has the custom cozy coffee shop vibe minus comfortable seating. Maybe that's so folks don't stick around too long? I really enjoyed the playlist during our visit and noticed that they stayed fairly busy the whole time we were there.

Today was my first visit to Red Hook and I would absolutely return. The shop is tucked away in a cute residential neighborhood of Detroit so you don't have to worry about struggling to find parking like you would at some of the other shops around the city. Parking is free in the back and there's also street parking available. The shop is small and intimate with a lot of single person tables. I wouldn't recommend coming here to spread out with books or work to do but you could definitely get some laptop work done. I typically drink vanilla lattes with some sort of milk substitute. Although they don't offer vanilla flavoring at this shop they did have Lavender flavoring and there were quite a few choices for milk substitutes: almond, soy and coconut. I've never tried lavender in my latte but the staff highly recommended it and I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed it. I also tried the chocolate zucchini bread and really enjoyed that as well. I think it's important to note that this shop offers plenty of vegan options!

One of my favorite places close to home. Honestly between Detroit and Ferndale, Detroit has the best Chai Latte!

Brooklyn street local you have finally won me over…read more I've been here several times but every time it wasn't my decision. When you have brunch with the girls it's hard to get a vote in and tbh I plan everything else we do so I'm happy to take a break on Sunday because I am god after all. Anyway I went on my own accord today. The service was beautiful. I really don't love having to order off of my phone because it limits the server to customer experience but despite that my server Mary made me feel super connected to her. She had great recommendations and knowledgeable descriptions of the menu. I sat on the patio with a nice breeze and minimal bugs. Seating was spacious and delightful. I got the brekwhich and it was soooooo delish. Mary could tell I was a freak so she had the crazy idea to put their locally farmed 3 berry jam on it. I told her it reminded me of that one episode of SpongeBob and I lost her :/. The savory plus the sweet was heaven in my heart. If he could he would, and apparently everyone's afraid of heaven. I also got my fav a BM (Bloody Mary). I didn't ask what mix they use like I usually do, I had faith. And I was right to do so. McClure's! MY FAVORITE TIED WITH VIVIOS! It came with a spicy peppery rim which was aight but that's not really my thing, I'm not that freaky! But I don't yuck anyone's yum. I also got the NEW lavender mimosa. Fragrant, festive and fastidious. It was a bright light that woke me up in a way only summer light is able to do. Angels are blinding, I hope Mary can still see because she took a peak in my heart to deliver the best experience. 10/10 will be back Side note I really don't get poutine for breakfast but I appreciate people sticking with brand. And I don't have to order that :)

I ordered the Vegan Breakfast Sandwich and was genuinely impressed by the portion size for the price, you definitely get great value. I also tried the Vegan Poutine, which was absolutely delicious and something I'd come back for on its own. With Detroit being so close to Canada, we don't have many poutine options. However, this spot really delivers for vegans looking for that poutine experience. The interior has a cozy, often busy vibe, and you can tell it's a well-loved local spot. We'd happily come back again to enjoy the food, service, and classic diner-style ambiance.

Full to capacity, I found a couple leaving and slid into their table. Started with free salsa, pico de gallo and chips. High quality. A Margarita as well, made from scratch ! Mains were ground beef tostadas and a steak and guacamole burrito. I was very hungry. Then another Margarita to finish the night there. Outstanding. Service was excellent (they were swamped). $40 all in..... this would be $75 in Toronto. I left a big tip and said I will be back next time I'm in town. A true 5 Star rating. Only minor complaint would be that the lighting is too bright. But they close at 9pm, so maybe they don't want to encourage the drinking part of dining.

We were greeted right when we walked in, and we got menus, chips (with salsa and pico), and water soon after. For entrees we had 1) heuvos con chorizo, with hot flour tortillas on the side; and 2) Mexican shrimp. Both were decent. For drinks we went with safe choices: a mango margarita on the rocks and mojito. It's a funny thing - this place isn't really special or notable. But the staff were responsive and everything we ordered was quick and as expected. The final check was not eye-popping, but very reasonable. So in that sense it is kind of special. Staff did a great job and food/drinks were pleasant enough. This place saved our evening.

I had a Taco Salad grain bowl which consisted of brown rice, chili, guacamole, salsa, pico de gallo, jalapeños, tomatoes, and a choice of cheese (I picked cheddar, which was perfect). I also added ground beef. This was an amazingly hearty, filling, and delicious meal, I could barely finish it. I like that they put all the toppings in side containers so you can add them just before digging in. It also came with a little bag of tortilla chips, which I wound up crushing and throwing into the bowl with everything else. Yum! Only suggestion I have for the owner is to replace the old carry-out menus with new ones reflecting the current prices. Other than that, I highly recommend this place and remember - shop local!
