This spot is so cute! It has a charmping, hipster vibe. I tried the vanilla oatmilk latte which was creamy and sweet. The brown sugar sea salt latte was a lot sweeter than I prefer. We tried an asiago basil popover and oatmeal cream pie. Both pastries were delcious and tasted fresh. They have limited seating area.

Cute coffee/baked goods shop in Indian Village neighborhood! This place checks all the boxes for me. Single origin beans pour overs and delightful baked yummies? I'm there!! Mushroom savory hand pie: so good! Sort of like Thanksgiving stuffing flavor in a flaky pastry! Warm it up in a toaster oven to make it a hot pocket! Zucchini chocolate bread: zucchini thankfully isn't a dominant flavor here. Deep chocolatey goodness! Berry crumble: like a hand portable berry/cake! So good with coffee! I also got one of their ethiopian single origin pour over coffee which was delightful. Currently it's only walk up due to COVID but it looks pretty cute on the inside.

We've enjoyed visiting Red Hook Ferndale since moving to the area in 2014, so we were thrilled to learn that they moved into the former Great Lakes Coffee in midtown. The space is large and they've done a terrific job with the space-ample room between tables, cool vintage objects and plants create a comfy, welcoming environment. The staff are so kind and welcoming! Coffee and baked goods are of the quality we expect and there are gluten-free and vegan pastry options.

This is a must visit place in Mid-town. It has so much potential to be a really good local hangout. I loved the vibe and it's just a cool place. They serve coffee, tea and some food items. One recommendation is to add Skinny Syrup or Sugar-free syrup for non-sugar people. Perhaps Stevia packets could be added. Other than that I loved it!

Red Hook was a great spot to get to-go coffee! Though it's walk up only and cashless, the cafe au lait I ordered was absolutely delicious and the staff was fast and fantastic! The neighborhood is super cute as well, and can't wait to be back once open normally again!

This is the coffee baked goods bar where your order is taken, prepped, and served.

This is a hidden gem in an area of the city that has incredible potential to become a very cool district. They are a true coffee house. Their coffee is low acidity and not bitter. This place does coffee the way coffee should be done. Adding anything to a latte from Red Hook is like adding ketchup to a filet; It requires nothing other than consumption and appreciation. The staff is always kind and professional. The seating area is an awesome blend of original mid century construction with some modern clean-up. I would absolutely encourage everyone to check out the Red Hook.

Enviroment, drinks and staffs are combined pefectly. I took 30 mins to come here, but it's truly worthy. I'll be back . 5 Stars

The staff is very friendly here. I tried their bacon, egg + cheese biscuit and it was really good! Their pour over is also nice. What I liked the most is their chai. I had a hot chai w- oat milk and it's the best chai I've had in awhile. Would recommend!

Charming coffee shop located on a quiet street filled with beautiful art both inside and out (large floral mural across the street and beautiful bird paintings on the ceiling of The Red Hook). Where? Located in the Indian Village neighborhood. My recent visit to The Red Hook also marked my first time trying Golden Milk (which was delightful). The space has the custom cozy coffee shop vibe minus comfortable seating. Maybe that's so folks don't stick around too long? I really enjoyed the playlist during our visit and noticed that they stayed fairly busy the whole time we were there.

Today was my first visit to Red Hook and I would absolutely return. The shop is tucked away in a cute residential neighborhood of Detroit so you don't have to worry about struggling to find parking like you would at some of the other shops around the city. Parking is free in the back and there's also street parking available. The shop is small and intimate with a lot of single person tables. I wouldn't recommend coming here to spread out with books or work to do but you could definitely get some laptop work done. I typically drink vanilla lattes with some sort of milk substitute. Although they don't offer vanilla flavoring at this shop they did have Lavender flavoring and there were quite a few choices for milk substitutes: almond, soy and coconut. I've never tried lavender in my latte but the staff highly recommended it and I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed it. I also tried the chocolate zucchini bread and really enjoyed that as well. I think it's important to note that this shop offers plenty of vegan options!

The theme was "Yes, Chef: An exploration of culinary icons through a cocktail lens." Each drink was inspired by or dedicated to a famous culinary icon, and you can read about each one in the index. We each ordered one drink from each section. From the Opening, I chose the Diaspora Club, which was so refreshing and delicious. Then from the Principals, I chose the Chingona, which was a little bit spicy and savory but still so refreshing. To Finish, I chose the Chocolatier Cosmo, which came with a tiny house-made salted dark chocolate. I loved all three cocktails I ordered, especially the chocolatier cosmo because it was perfectly sweet and went so well with the small piece of chocolate. For food, we started off with the crispy pork belly milk bread. For my entree, I ordered the miso butter gnocchi. It was kind of on the salty side but I still really liked it. The apple sofrito added a bit of sweetness to it. For dessert, we had to get the rhubarb coffee cake, which came with strawberry ice cream. Omg one of the best desserts I've ever had!! I never thought of combining cinnamon coffee cake with rhubarb or strawberry but it's perfect, and I might have to make something like that soon. Service was great and we were seated right away at 8pm on a Saturday despite not having a reservation. Food and drinks came out promptly and timed perfectly. We spent about 1.5 hours here and we never felt rushed.

Sadly, we got a message that they changed us to inside due to possible rain. I understand, but it didn't end up raining and the outside area looked incredible. I added a photo. Oh well. Every item was fresh and flavorful. We definitely will come back - though not all the time as that is cost prohibitive. Tucked in the Chrysler building is the Dime Store restaurant, this is a small establishment with about 20-ish tables and bar seating. Entrance is through the Chrysler building. I must mention there is ample street or structure parking in the area. Dine Store is casual feels with BIG flavors! Plus the Staff were friendly and welcoming. At our table, we started with Chai Lattes. They offer milk alternatives-Yaay! The Chai was good sprinkled with cinnamon and steaming hot. It could have used a bit more chai, which I'm sure they would have supplied but it was good that I sipped away. To note, they do offer cocktails and beers, as not all brunch places do. We tried the Mushroom and Goat cheese Omelette and a Build your Own omelette. Our table was pleased as the omelettes may appear 'small' but don't let that fool you, they were packed with flavor. Also, the dishes were made to order. The cubed potatoes were delicious along with the Zingerman's Toast with strawberry jam. Oh yes, we also got a side of the chicken sausage and no disappointments. Everything was cooked to perfection. I must point out that the ingredients were fresh, we could taste the difference with the farm to table ingredients and the potatoes and omelettes were not greasy at all! Can't wait to visit again-recommended!
