This spot is so cute! It has a charmping, hipster vibe. I tried the vanilla oatmilk latte which was creamy and sweet. The brown sugar sea salt latte was a lot sweeter than I prefer. We tried an asiago basil popover and oatmeal cream pie. Both pastries were delcious and tasted fresh. They have limited seating area.

Cute coffee/baked goods shop in Indian Village neighborhood! This place checks all the boxes for me. Single origin beans pour overs and delightful baked yummies? I'm there!! Mushroom savory hand pie: so good! Sort of like Thanksgiving stuffing flavor in a flaky pastry! Warm it up in a toaster oven to make it a hot pocket! Zucchini chocolate bread: zucchini thankfully isn't a dominant flavor here. Deep chocolatey goodness! Berry crumble: like a hand portable berry/cake! So good with coffee! I also got one of their ethiopian single origin pour over coffee which was delightful. Currently it's only walk up due to COVID but it looks pretty cute on the inside.

We've enjoyed visiting Red Hook Ferndale since moving to the area in 2014, so we were thrilled to learn that they moved into the former Great Lakes Coffee in midtown. The space is large and they've done a terrific job with the space-ample room between tables, cool vintage objects and plants create a comfy, welcoming environment. The staff are so kind and welcoming! Coffee and baked goods are of the quality we expect and there are gluten-free and vegan pastry options.

This is a must visit place in Mid-town. It has so much potential to be a really good local hangout. I loved the vibe and it's just a cool place. They serve coffee, tea and some food items. One recommendation is to add Skinny Syrup or Sugar-free syrup for non-sugar people. Perhaps Stevia packets could be added. Other than that I loved it!

This is the coffee baked goods bar where your order is taken, prepped, and served.

This is a hidden gem in an area of the city that has incredible potential to become a very cool district. They are a true coffee house. Their coffee is low acidity and not bitter. This place does coffee the way coffee should be done. Adding anything to a latte from Red Hook is like adding ketchup to a filet; It requires nothing other than consumption and appreciation. The staff is always kind and professional. The seating area is an awesome blend of original mid century construction with some modern clean-up. I would absolutely encourage everyone to check out the Red Hook.

Enviroment, drinks and staffs are combined pefectly. I took 30 mins to come here, but it's truly worthy. I'll be back . 5 Stars

Red Hook was a great spot to get to-go coffee! Though it's walk up only and cashless, the cafe au lait I ordered was absolutely delicious and the staff was fast and fantastic! The neighborhood is super cute as well, and can't wait to be back once open normally again!

The staff is very friendly here. I tried their bacon, egg + cheese biscuit and it was really good! Their pour over is also nice. What I liked the most is their chai. I had a hot chai w- oat milk and it's the best chai I've had in awhile. Would recommend!

Charming coffee shop located on a quiet street filled with beautiful art both inside and out (large floral mural across the street and beautiful bird paintings on the ceiling of The Red Hook). Where? Located in the Indian Village neighborhood. My recent visit to The Red Hook also marked my first time trying Golden Milk (which was delightful). The space has the custom cozy coffee shop vibe minus comfortable seating. Maybe that's so folks don't stick around too long? I really enjoyed the playlist during our visit and noticed that they stayed fairly busy the whole time we were there.

Today was my first visit to Red Hook and I would absolutely return. The shop is tucked away in a cute residential neighborhood of Detroit so you don't have to worry about struggling to find parking like you would at some of the other shops around the city. Parking is free in the back and there's also street parking available. The shop is small and intimate with a lot of single person tables. I wouldn't recommend coming here to spread out with books or work to do but you could definitely get some laptop work done. I typically drink vanilla lattes with some sort of milk substitute. Although they don't offer vanilla flavoring at this shop they did have Lavender flavoring and there were quite a few choices for milk substitutes: almond, soy and coconut. I've never tried lavender in my latte but the staff highly recommended it and I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed it. I also tried the chocolate zucchini bread and really enjoyed that as well. I think it's important to note that this shop offers plenty of vegan options!

They are really conscious of where they get their ingredients and try to stick to local Michigan farms. A great dining experience from start to finish. We sat outside on a chilly night but don't let that deter you. They have plenty of heaters outside to keep you warm. The menu was fantastic. Everything was really delicious and flavorful. I highly recommend getting the bone marrow and you can't go wrong with any of the steaks. They are locally sourced which makes them that much better. The steak was cooked just how I want it. Also the drinks were just as delicious as well. I got an old fashioned and it was mixed perfectly. This is a great new, unique, delicious restaurant that needs to be checked out while you are in Detroit.

Second, the food was amazing. While we were waiting for the food to be served, we got to try a little nibble of a hushpuppy with a creamy corn and crab sauce. They were only about the size of a Bing cherry, but the little fried morsal was so delicious. I could have definitely eaten more. Next, we were served the seafood. Honestly, I can't remember having seafood that tasted this fresh in Michigan. This was the first time I really enjoyed crawfish. The crab cluster was so sweet, and I was a huge fan of the clams and mussels. Marrow had seasoned butter for dipping all of the seafood in, and it was to die for! The dessert was a very surprising and delicious dirt cake, complete with gummy worms! The chocolate tasted elevated from the elementary school version, which I appreciated. My husband and I are definitely looking forward to attending another one of these!
