Had lunch here with the family since we were craving "burgers". Wife and I had the veggie burgers, my daughter had the hot dogs and we shared fries and onion rings. The food was fresh and well cooked, everyone enjoyed their food. The lady who took our order and made our food was nice and friendly. The place was clean and very diner like. The one complaint was from my daughter about the ice machine being loud, but that could also have been because we were the only ones in the restaurant.

Yesterday, the crew from Bob's Burgers decided to check out the local competition. We headed over to The Red Onion in Concord. We were welcomed by our fellow burger flippers. The burgers were delicious, and the service was terrific! The onion rings were so good, too! Seven of us really enjoyed our burgers; we were chowing down within ten minutes of ordering. This is an old-school diner with a great vibe. I'm adding this spot to my regular rotation. Let's show this hamburger joint some love! They made great burgers and took wonderful care of this crazy crew! Was in concord and looked up burger spots near me and this place came up. Looked homey diner style and thought to give it a try. Super clean and nice people seems family owned . Order ready less than 15 minutes . Daughter and wife loved it . Good portion would come back

Another well deserved 5 star review update for one of my absolute favorite Bay Area burger spots! I love this place with all of my damn heart. The Red Onion is my favorite burger spot in CoCo county, period! I can talk all damn day about how delicious their burgers are, but another big reason why I've consistently come here for years is because of the excellent service. Silvia and her family are some of the kindest and most hardworking people in the game. I have so much respect for them and their business. I stopped by to pick up dinner this past week, and I was pleasantly surprised to see Silvia (the owner) working there that night. She usually works at the El Cerrito location now, so it was nice to see and chat with her. Her daughter was there too and she's always been super pleasant. They always remember me even if it's been months since I've come in. There have been times when I've come in on my cheat days when I'm dieting, and we always talk about our weight loss journeys and dieting. I feel like this family is an old friend at this point. It makes me so happy to see them when I come in. What more can I say about their burgers that I haven't already said time and time again? They're just friggin' scrumptious. Huge, meaty, juicy, and fresh. And every single damn time too. This is one of the only spots that I'd prefer over an In N Out burger. And if you're a diehard In N Out fan like myself, then you know that's really saying a lot. The consistency is just bananas. They've got it down to a science. Burgers and fries are just too damn good here. Always grateful to have this wonderful burger spot around, and I'm so glad that they didn't fall victim to COVID. And, now I've just worked myself up a craving for one of their burgers. Guess I better get up and order me one! Mmmmm :).

Can't really see but hours at 10am to 5pm 7 days a week.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Only reason this doesn't get a 5 star is because the business hours are inaccurate and not updated. Other than that the food is amazing! Essentially the place is a high quality food version of nations. Juicy burgers, big in size and amazing French fries. Very old school feel but it's comforting. Reasonably priced and overall a great place to eat.. Please fix your hours!!! *picture for reference*

I grew up on Red Onion Burgers and ate at the original one in Pinole. I moved and saw one in El Cerrito that was closer to home and went there several. Recently, I found this Red Onion in Concord. I swung by for lunch and got a cheeseburger and an order of fries. My buddy went for a cheeseburger and onion rings. The burger comes on a nice fresh, soft and chewy bun with a fresh not frozen hamburger patty, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, American cheese, miracle whip and mustard. It is a very fresh and tasty burger. I think they put less produce and the patty is a bit smaller than the Red a Onion in El Cerrito or Pinole but still a very good burger. The fries were hot, fresh and crunchy. Sadly the onion rings seem to have a heavier older oil taste but crunchy. Red Onion is on my go to burger list, it looks OG but it is very clean, comfortable setting and the people are very nice. If you are in Concord, stop by for a fresh tasty burger and nicely cooked fries. I'll be going again.

This past weekend I got a chance to try it with my boyfriend, who's already had it once before. We decided to go in around 8pm on a Saturday. We attempted to call beforehand to check in with how busy the restaurant was as we were both starving and wanted food asap! We weren't able to get past their automated answer choices, so we decided to take a risk and go in. Upon arrival, it was a joy to see that there was not many people eating as well as no waitlist to be seated. We got seated immediately by what seems to be the restaurant manager. He was nice and made us feel welcome. Our server for the night whom I forgot the name of, was sweet and responsive to our needs as well! We were pleasantly surprised by how empty the restaurant was. We both ordered burgers, which my bf had recommended to me based on the one other time he came. Our food came out so quickly, I would say just around 10 minutes! I got their "Eureka! American" with cheddar cheese rather than swiss. Oh my gosh, it was one of the best burgers I've had! It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. My bf got the Bacon Jalapeño Jam Burger which he liked, but said the bread was almost too sweet for his liking. It's also worth noting that their bathrooms were super clean and taken care of, which is usually not the case at these type of restaurants. I can't wait to come back and try their truffle fries next! I definitely wish I tried them that night but it just gives me an excuse to come back!

We arrived right at 3pm when HH starts and were greeted immediately by the host who told us we could sit anywhere at the bar , once we sat we were greeted by Julez who was such a great help and let us try a few beers until we found one we really liked. The food came out and it was great , we tried the pizza, the ahi tuna nachos, and the wings . Everything was great. Good sports bar with a ton of TV's definitely recommend to sit at the bar for HH

I hate to write a negative review. I didn't even get a chance to eat…read more My partner and I went here at 4:30ish pm on Sunday for a nice early dinner. A rush of people had left the restaurant at the same time because a sports game ended. The time to get seated was incredibly short, taking less than 5 minutes for us two. Once seated the hostess did not offer us anything, instead saying someone else would come help us and she hurried off. We sat for over twenty minutes without a single server speaking to us. In that time we had four separate parties of 1-4 all be seated around us. They all were given drinks either by hosts or servers. Two of them had orders taken. We were not asked how we were. Even after activating the "need waiter" mode on the tablet every single server ignored us. I know mistakes happen, a rush had ended and we may have been lost in the shuffle. Every server who looked at us and the tablet could have checked in. It was clearly bright and alerting. The restaurant wasn't incredibly busy, as our section was mostly empty when we entered. As we were getting up one of the servers looked at both of us, the alerting tablet on the table, and then towards the table next to us and asked if they needed help. I have to mention that all the people who were served before us were white. Most of their servers were. The hostess who sat us down also was. We are an interracial couple. I am very visibly middle eastern. It felt incredibly targeted. We would tip as much as any other party. We wouldn't treat the staff poorly. All we did was have a brown guy at the table. When we went to hand our menus and unused utensils back to the hosts the only host who showed any concern and attempted to help wasn't white. She offered to get us reseated and immediately helped. Considering the racist treatment towards us by the other staff we declined. We left promptly. I would love for someone from the management team to reach out and look at any footage of the incident to clarify what might've happened. Our reservation at check in was under my partners name and placed at 4:34pm.

You might want to get here early because it fills up quick and has limited tables available. Clean and sleek design with an efficient kitchen and staff. I ordered the majestic which consists of braised spare rib with a sauce, carrots and mashed potatoes. Our waitress was pleased when I gave her the order because she knew it was impossible to have a negative review on this establishment when you eat this dish. Outstanding quality, freshness and taste. We also ordered the fried rice with sirloin and French omelet. The chef must have spent a season in Paris because the omelet was textbook French, impressive. The sirloin was good too but my wife didnt really care for the rice. I liked the rice but it wouldn't hurt if they gave a steamed rice option. Next time we'll request that instead for a 10/10 dish. We also had the crown drink and the garden of Versailles. Both were worth trying if you come here. The presentation for the crown drink had every neighboring table turning their heads and ordering one for themselves. Our wonderful waitress suggested the drink and also got elated when we did because she knew we were gonna leave with all smiles. I can't give this place enough credit, and I cant wait wait to come back to try other items on the menu that I had my eye on.

I believe they're owned by Lapisara Eatery which is also a well-known spot in SF. I originally wanted some classic brunch items, but their étouffée and the majestic sounded really good. Both dishes were soo yummy. The étouffée had a good amount of crab and crawfish, and it was hearty and comforting. The majestic was THE STAR. A little after they set the dish down, the meat literally just slipped off the bone. The short rib had a nice crust on the outside and was cooked perfectly inside. It was so good. My only complaint was how little mashed potatoes we got. Other pictures seem to have gotten a healthy scoop, but we got what looked like a a smear of mashed potatoes. Considering the price I wish they added a bit more. Regardless, our meal was amazing. Everyone was so kind and the inside was very trendy. I loved it!
