I had the most amazing birthday experience at Tiki Tom's! My wife surprised me with dinner, so I had no idea we were coming, which made it even more special. The ambiance is absolutely incredible, but what truly made the night unforgettable was the exceptional service. Alicia went above and beyond from the moment we sat down. She recommended the perfect food and drinks, checked on us throughout the evening, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Then she completely surprised me by bringing out sparklers, dimming the lights, and having the music turned up while everyone wished me a happy birthday. It wasn't just great customer service--it was the kind of experience that creates lifelong memories. Alicia deserves to be recognized for the outstanding job she does. Employees like her are the reason customers come back and recommend Tiki Tom's to others. Thank you, Alicia, for making my birthday so incredibly special. We will definitely be back!

Fun place with lots of Hawaii style decor! It feels like you are on vacation here. Lots of different drinks and food options. I came for the coconut shrimp and lumpia and tried a mai Thai and banana hammock. Drinks are strong! Good friendly service. They do take a credit card right away to charge your order. Definitely going back.

Came here with my wife, a fellow yelper and her partner. We all had a long week and it was a pre-bday turnup because my bday is 7/7. Our waitress was Erica (May be spelled differently). She was very attentive, knowledgeable, warm, and overall fantastic. We tried the seasonal corn appetizer. It was delicious. For my entree, I had the garlic chili shrimp (No pineapples and mild spice level). It came with coconut rice and that was not a match. I swapped the rice for regular. They were very accomodating to all my requests. My eye had the pork bowl (I think that's what it is called). The pork had a smokey taste. She stated it was delicious. We had some wings that they lit tableside. They were really good. For dessert, my wife had the pineapple dole whip with a shot of brandy. I received a birthday song along with Tiramisu cake. I did not eat the cake, but everyone said it was good. My wife had a regular mai tai and I had the ultimate. Both were delicious. Next, we tried the ...zombie. it is the highest alcohol level drink you can have. You can only order up to 2. It comes with a warning label....lol. Honestly, it was a good drink. We were not left feeling tipsy tho. However, that's just me. We them all had some shots to end the night at this spot.

I kept hearing about Tiki Tom's and decided it was time to go! I always love drinks at a tiki bar and this was definitely no exception. Great drinks, great food, immaculate vibes. It's a bit darker than some other Tiki bars, and a bit more cramped so it can get loud inside. But it was such a great trip. Very nice service, and for my birthday we got the volcano with sparklers and some lollipops. All in all it was a lot of fun to go and I can't wait to go back!

Drinks were fantastic and food was better than expected - definitely gets crowded around the evening but walking in works just fine if you get in early enough without a reservation. Note: there is a convenient parking lot on the roof but you'll have to pay.

Such a cool place, I have known about this place for years and why I hadn't gone sooner I really don't know. Me and a coworker went after work for snacks and a drink sand wow this place is really cool, as soo n as you walk in your engulfed in Tiki vibes. The place isn't that big and it fills up super fast so try to get there early. We showed up at about 5:00 pm and when we left the line was super long and we over heard the waitress telling people the wait was well over an hour. Now I'll need to take the whole family back here the kids will love it and my husband is a huge Tiki fan! Just go early evening you gotta heck this place out!

This is my drink, sort of blurry. It's a Blue Mermaid.

We just had a delightful dinner at Tiki Tom's. What an experience! Alisha was our waitress and she was excellent. She answered all of our questions about drinks and dishes. She was extremely personable and charming. The food was outstanding and we ordered a lot. Way too much to list. The menu is extensive and you can't go wrong. Our drinks were exactly what we wanted. And we ordered two desserts to top off the evening. We were a party of four and had a wonderful night. Parking is easy as there's several structures nearby. We'll be back!! Thank you!

I love a good tiki bar, and not only was the tiki theme on point but the food was really good. Got some drinks (some on fire) as well as some food and was super happy. Super friendly staff and even left with a mug. Definitely will be back.

The dude and I love niche bars, and this one delivered on atmosphere. The drinks were fire literally had one served on fire, which automatically earns points. Great music, fun energy, and the staff was friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. The food wasn't our favorite, so we'd come back more for drinks than dinner. It is on the pricier side, but you're paying for the experience, not just the pour. If you're into themed bars, strong cocktails, and a good night out, this spot is worth checking out.

We had a reservation for 6 but arrived early. We were seated and attended to immediately. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The ambience is super fun and feels like your someplace far and tropical. The food was served hot and delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their dish and the drinks were top notch. I definitely will go back!

We had a great time! Food was delicious, drinks were fun, though they were a little light on the alcohol. I had the Dole whip with a shot of dark rum. It was very good, especially once I mixed in the rum. The wings were sweet and the presentation of them was spectacular! Service was fine, our server was attentive and nice. It was a busy Saturday night, so it can be hard to judge on those nights.

    Awesome drinks by River Jordon!

Food and drinks are fire. Service and ambiance were a 10/10. Tiki Tom's has really stepped up their game.

This bar is such a fun time, especially during the holidays. It was our first time visiting this week, and we knew it was going to be a great time when people were lined up 10 minutes before 4pm, when they open. It was such an experience walking in to a tiki room with beachy Santa vibes wherever you go. We ordered from the post card QR code menu, very cute, and because we'd already eaten we just ordered drinks, but the food orders smelled sooooo good whiffing past us while we were waiting for our drinks! I was stuck between the pina colada and the dole whip with rum. I went with the house made pina colada as is it was highly recommended by the staff and I'm so glad I did! I also ordered the Crimson Tide - a tequila based cocktail with lime, orgeat, strawberry and hibiscus. It was a cool drink to order, it came with a sugar cube on fire. Definitely come check this place out for the holiday season!

Ask the Community - Tiki Tom’s

    Do we need reservations?

Yes, we do accept reservations! We love being able to plan ahead for our guests, so reservations are always great to have. We also do our best to monitor our tables and availability throughout the evening so that everyone has the opportunity to come…

We are a group of 7 celebrating my son's birthday and my husband's. Is it possible to get a reservation for Feb 21 at or around 5-6:00? Thank you.

Aloha! For large party reservation requests please email us at tikitomsreservations@gmail.com

We are a group of 8, celebrating birthday for our friend. Is it possible to accommodate a larger group?

Aloha! Absolutely we can accommodate! Being we are a smaller establishment all large party reservation requests need to be sent via email. Our Yelp reservations are for smaller groups. Send us an email and we can help you out!…

    Are kids allowed?

Aloha! We are a full functioning restaurant from 4pm-10pm! After 10pm we become a 21+ cocktail lounge with a late night menu. We don't have a kids menu or high chairs, but we do have options lots of kids modify and booths to keep little ones close.

I have reservations on New Year's Eve at 5p for my mothers birthday. There will be five of us including my 14 year old. Will that be ok?

Aloha! Please email us at tikitomswc@gmail.com so we can adjust your reservation

    When is karaoke night?

Aloha! Unfortunately we no longer do Karaoke night since reopening in 2021. However we do believe there are a few places that still do karaoke in Walnutcreek!

So 2 teens can come inside sit and eat?

Yes, but there might be a time restriction as in after a certain time it's 21 and over only. You could call and ask. But during normal dinner hours it's definitely OK

Do you need to be 21 to go?

No, there are tables to order food.

What is your air filtration system like? HEPA/Covid19 compliant? Do you have outdoor seating area? With the uptick in infections of Covid variants, it's uncomfortable. We frequent tiki bars, but only if they have an outdoor area.

Spring, it's all indoors. It was remodeled during Covid, but it's much larger now. It doesn't seem stuffy but it's probably not the Bar for you since it is all indoors. Drinks are good and the staff is friendly. Try Torsap Thai Kitchen or Bounty…

How many people can this place hold?

Not counting the bar it's at least 50 people. There is a back seating area (8) and about 11 tables of 4. I think the bar seats 10 or so. I'll leave if to someone who frequents more regularly to give you an exact number.…

Such a cute concept! Are the owners Hawaiian or from Hawaii?

Hi, are kids allowed at Tiki Tom's?

Aloha! Yes! We run as a full restaurant from the hours of 4pm-10pm currently! However we don’t have a kids menu, but plenty of options that can be modified!

What time do the lights turn off and the attractive LED lights come on? Also, vaccinations are no longer required in Walnut Creek?

Aloha! Tiki Tom’s is always at an attractive mood setting from open to close! We follow all current CDC guide lines. As of right now we do not require vaccinations or masks for entry! Mahalo!

Do you have vegetarian menu? Few folks in the group are vegetarian

Very limited. It's more known for the drinks vs the food. I'm sure they do have a few options on the menu (online).

Do you have a happy hour?

Aloha! We currently have a happy hour everyday from 4-5pm!

Kid friendly? Vaccination required for younger than 12yrs old?

Aloha Rebecca! We are kid friendly! We don’t have a specific kids menu, but can definitely accommodate! (They will love our pineapple dole whip and we can make non alcoholic cocktails)…

    Is proof of vaccination required?

Aloha Maria! We keep up with the current CDC Guidelines!

Do you sell drinks to go?

    Don't think so. It's a sit-down bar.

Do you required vaccination cards to get in?

    Yes (December 2021)

Do you required vaccination cards to get in?

yes they do check vaccine cards against ID cards

I've gone to Fleming's in many locations from Palo Alto to Fresno and this was by far the most fun location. The restaurant managers are very attentive. The steaks and lobster did not come out at the temperatures requested, but were still quite good - not worth the price points; so that was disappointing. I'm absolutely blown away. I was surprised about how good everything was. Might have been the best…read morefood I've had this year. My family ordered 1 appetizer, 4 entrees, and 2 drinks, all shared, and all 4 of us agreed that EVERY single item was phenomenal. That has absolutely NEVER happened before. At most restaurants, there's always at least one thing that someone doesn't like, and often multiple things that multiple people don't like. Not the case here. The appetizer was the spicy basil wings. Very good to start. But little did I know what was coming my way. The drinks were Thai tea and lychee limeade. The Thai tea was normal. As in good, I liked it. The lychee limeade was amazing, had to order another one. I would like to try the mango next time (there will definitely be a next time). Very sour, which I love. I hate lemonade that's not sour enough. Oh and that too, I usually hate limeade, don't really care for lemonade, and don't drink soda. I usually only drink water, juice, or tea (no coffee, alcohol rarely). So that's saying something. The Laos fried spring roll entree was really good. I always liked fried rolls but something about this tasted better. They were Laotian rolls, so maybe that was part of the difference from the ones you get from Pho restaurants. The duck over rice was amazing. I'm not usually one to pick duck, I don't mind it but I usually don't order it, but this was my mom's choice and it was really good. I like the sauce too. The Panang duck curry was so good. My mom doesn't even like curry and she liked it. And the Chiang Mai soup dish, I've never had anything like it. It was still hot after, I don't know, 20 minutes maybe? At the bottom especially. We all ate this together at the end, while the other dishes were in the order I listed them for myself (mostly, kinda switched around a bit eating family style), and generally the same for everyone else. I tasted a tiny bit of the soup in the beginning and thought it was nothing special, like when my spoon was clean it was the first thing I scooped. Only the soup though, none of the stuff inside. Honestly I didn't read what was in it, some crispy noodle or something. I was not sure if I would like it but my sister said she had it in Thailand and liked it so if I didn't like it she could eat it. That ended up not being a problem. Okay so anyway, we started on the soup at the end. To start, it was pretty good. Somehow, every bite we took tasted better and better, for at least like 5-10 bites maybe. At that point, I was thinking it's the best thing I've ever tasted. (But of course that's probably not actually true, and I'm just falling for the recency bias, kind of like how my favorite song changes all the time.) Never had anything like it. I've been missing out. But wow, I have to come back. And I highly recommend this place. Life changing experience honestly. Like if you asked me right now if I wanted to get Japanese or Korean (my other favorites) food or this, I would go here. I honestly wanted more of every single dish, especially the fried spring rolls, duck over rice, duck curry, and soup. Wait a second... that's all the entrees we ordered! Also the limeade. I need to get that again. But I also want to try other stuff next time so I'm torn. I literally need all 4 of these dishes again so I don't know what to do. I hope these dishes aren't seasonal or otherwise temporary. I noticed the menu had a month and year listed (I think it said April 2026 and it's May 3 2026 today) so I believe they update it frequently. If I lived closer I would come 20 times in a row and try every single thing, but unfortunately I live in San Ramon so it's not like I'm trying to go to Oakland every day. Soon though. My sister lives there, if I were her I would go here every day until I was sick of it, if that could ever be possible. I don't know if I could ever enjoy other food this much again. I was also completely sober so it wasn't like I had munchies or anything (felt I should specify being a young adult who grew up in California). Hmm, that gives me an idea for the future though. Even the pricing is fair (no dishes over $30), and the place is nice. Great service too. The only drawbacks are small tables for parties over 4 people, and it's REALLY loud in the restaurant, but well worth it. If you are sensitive to noise I'd recommend earplugs, earmuffs, earbuds, headphones, or something. The place is also relatively small. I'd recommend making a reservation if you plan to go on a Friday or Saturday night. It got busy, very busy. Well our reservation was at 6 and it wasn't crowded yet, a couple tables open, but by the time our food came out the place was absolutely packed and I think people without reservations had to wait to sit. I'm not sure though, I was too focused on the amazing food to care. Anyway, once again, highly recommend and I will be back.

Finally had a chance to check out Luna Sea lounge last week. Location is perfect ... right around…read morethe corner from Walnut Creek BART but also plenty of street parking. The place was crowded but could still get a table. I got the "Syndicate" ... great blend of sweet and spicy. I planned on trying something else but it was so good I went back to it again. Highly recommend.

Cool bar hiding in plain sight on Pringle. From the sidewalk you would swear they were closed, and…read morethen the door opens and you are somewhere else entirely. Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.
