Dole whip with rum
Audriana N.

We had a great time! Food was delicious, drinks were fun, though they were a little light on the alcohol. I had the Dole whip with a shot of dark rum. It was very good, especially once I mixed in the rum. The wings were sweet and the presentation of them was spectacular! Service was fine, our server was attentive and nice. It was a busy Saturday night, so it can be hard to judge on those nights.

My family had a fantastic time. We love tiki themed restaurants and Tiki Tom's has been our list for a while. So glad we were finally able to try it out. While there is no kids menu, there are plenty of items that kids enjoy so we had no issues. The service was fantastic we showed up at opening and everything came out fast. The inside is beautifully themed and my kids thought it was so fun they already asked to go back. All of the food we ordered was delicious and we would get it again. The only thing to watch out for is the walnut creeky tiki drink was different than I expected. I didn't think it would be creamy by looking at the ingredients but it was definitely more of a dessert drink. Still delicious though! We will be back soon.

The lumpia delicious 8/10 on 02/13/22

The dude and I love niche bars, and this one delivered on atmosphere. The drinks were fire literally had one served on fire, which automatically earns points. Great music, fun energy, and the staff was friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. The food wasn't our favorite, so we'd come back more for drinks than dinner. It is on the pricier side, but you're paying for the experience, not just the pour. If you're into themed bars, strong cocktails, and a good night out, this spot is worth checking out.

One word to start this review, WOW!!!!! I did not expect Tiki Tom's to go this hard... The decorating here is QUITE incredible... For this not being on a ton of tiki nerd radars, I think it's just a matter of time before this place blows up. To start, the food here is pretty great, and there is a quite large variety of stuff. We did it family style, all ordered something different, and shared it like a holiday dinner. The drinks, TONS of options, almost too many.... Everything we got was solid, very boozy, and we left a little cross eyed... I absolutely will come back, give this place a try, even if you arent a tiki nut...

Lumpia

I was just here on Halloween with my sisters and we had the time of our lives. My sisters and I were all dressed in our costumes. My older sister was Stuart from MadTV, I was Sangyeon from The Boyz Maverick music video and my younger sister was dressed as a Breaking Bad character. Anyhow, we went here for dinner and it was spectacular. Our waitress was super nice and even took our picture. For drinks, we got mocktails and I believe a cocktail too. I got a Castaway Cooler mocktails, my older sister got the Kunu's POG and I can't remember if my younger sister got a mocktail or cocktail. Anyhow, other than the fact that our drinks were amazing, food was just as amazing. We got the lumpia, which was spectacular. I got myself the poke tacos, my younger sister got some kind of burger I don't recall which one, I think it was limited. Anyhow, everything about Tiki Tom's was amazing. I will come back for sure.

This bar is such a fun time, especially during the holidays. It was our first time visiting this week, and we knew it was going to be a great time when people were lined up 10 minutes before 4pm, when they open. It was such an experience walking in to a tiki room with beachy Santa vibes wherever you go. We ordered from the post card QR code menu, very cute, and because we'd already eaten we just ordered drinks, but the food orders smelled sooooo good whiffing past us while we were waiting for our drinks! I was stuck between the pina colada and the dole whip with rum. I went with the house made pina colada as is it was highly recommended by the staff and I'm so glad I did! I also ordered the Crimson Tide - a tequila based cocktail with lime, orgeat, strawberry and hibiscus. It was a cool drink to order, it came with a sugar cube on fire. Definitely come check this place out for the holiday season!

Coco Loco (Coca-Cola with coconut & lime)

We wandered in on a whim while shopping and we're so glad we did. The place is decked out with vibrant tiki themed decorations and festive Christmas lights, creating an inviting atmosphere. Christmas music filled the air, adding to lively vibe. At one point the lights dimmed and the sounds of Polynesian drums echoed throughout the bar as they brought out what appeared to be a birthday dessert. What a fun place to celebrate! As someone whose doesn't drink, I appreciate it when their mocktail game is on point. I loved the Coco Loco which consisted of Coca-Cola, coconut & lime. Simple but delicious! We definitely want to come back and try the food! So glad we came across this vibey lil spot.

Always a cool experience here that's local i love tiki bar vibe is so cool and have got lucky every time with waiting for table here. They have a long drink menu with fun drinks and cups and some food bites that are nice when your starving, good spot for conversations but no dancing music or space if that's what your looking for. I think it's always worth a visit especially if u have a visitor in town!

To start, a big shout out and thank you to our waiter, River Jordan. He provided excellent service throughout our visit and was very knowledgeable of the menu. River Jordan definitely deserves recognition for his hard work! This was our first time at Tiki Tom's, and I was craving island-inspired drinks and food--this spot was exactly what I needed. I also want to add how nice the decor is inside. It's dark, but it gives Tiki vibes. There is a parking garage nearby given that street parking is impossible especially during dinner and weekends. For drinks, I went with the Mac Makua Kane (The Mac Daddy), while my significant other chose the Benzombie. Warning: the Benzombie is no joke -- a sip probably would make me drunk. For the appetizers, I recommend the Loco Moco Gyoza and Puri Puri Pagan Wings. Both delicious and should've ordered more. For the main course, I tried the Ahi Tuna Bowl and my bf ordered the Loco Moco. Don't leave without getting the dole whip and haupia tiramisu! Our first experience dining here was fantastic and we are eager to return and try more of the menu items.

Spam Musubi

Fun place to have a birthday celebration! We saw many tables have a mini volcano with sparkler being presented where they shut most of the lights in the dining room, play a thunderstorm sound and loud Polynesian drum music. My friend's husband chose this restaurant to celebrate his wife's birthday & it's kid friendly too (their kids are 11 & 14) & there are menu items to please the kids too. No reservations are available on weekends so arrive early if possible. It's not a large restaurant so groups with more than 6 people may have a long wait. We waited about 25 minutes & walked around nearby bookstore until our table was ready. We shared coconut shrimp (easy to eat because they were on a skewer) & spam musubi to start. Spam musubi was nice & crispy & not too salty. Coconut shrimp was perfect crispy & flavorful too. I had the loco moco for my entree & it's served with a slice of spam & mushrooms, & the gravy is a bit different than the traditional loco moco I'm accustomed to in Hawaii but it's still good. The rice was not as fluffy as I'm used to but the gravy helped the rice out. For dessert, we shared the haupia tiramisu which had a light coconut flavor & the mango panna cotta. They added the sparkler to the tiramisu dessert for our birthday celebration. Service was warm & friendly. Parking is available in a nearby lot (you have to drive up a ramp) & pay meters are in front of each spot.

Came here to catch up with my girlfriends and we enjoyed it. Although a small space, it's super cozy and the energy is great- very lively. The drinks were really good and mines came with some sort of flame! It's a fusion menu. The positions were huge and so many of us end up packing our food to go. Service was a little slow but the server did let us know it's his first night. There was a small hiccup with additional charges but was resolved after a few days. Overall, cool spot.

SO MUCH FUN!!! Came here for a girls night and it was the best choice we could have made!! Please note that the dining area is dim and they play loud sounds to celebrate birthdays and special occasions- it is super fun, but wouldn't be your cup of tea if you're looking for a quiet dining experience. Around us were lots of adult birthday parties and adult friend groups. We came Friday around 6:30pm. They don't do reservations on Fridays or Saturdays but luckily they still had a few tables available. The staff said they usually get busier around 7/7:30pm. The space is decorated all over and the tiki theme is executed perfectly. Their menu choices for food and drinks are plentiful- everyone can find something they like. The chili garlic shrimp was sweet and spicy and we loved it. The ribs were perfectly cooked and had the BEST crispy brussel sprouts on the side. The portions were good! We all really enjoyed our drinks. The service was great and fast and we had a great time here. Already looking to come back and show this spot to more friends!

4.65/5 Extremely well done tiki bar in Walnut Creek! This spot has a lovely ambience and the service and attention we got were top notch. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer and the drunken noodles and honey walnut shrimp for entrees, per the recommendation of our server. Alicia, who was our server, did an excellent job in taking care of us. She was warm hospitable and welcoming. She definitely added to the whole overall experience! As first timers this definitely won't be our first time.

Yes, but there might be a time restriction as in after a certain time it's 21 and over only. You could call and ask. But during normal dinner hours it's definitely OK

To drink, we had passionfruit mimosas, the maitai (the non-classic one), the chi chi, and the painless (mocktail). All were delicious and beautifully presented. To eat, we shared the Spam musubi. Another lovely presentation! The ratio of Spam to rice to seaweed was balanced and came with a tasty sauce drizzled overtop and a different one on the side. For brunch entrees, we had the ube waffles (one as is and one with chicken katsu), the kalua pork breakfast sandwich? And the poke bowl. The ube waffles are unique and delicious! They are topped with whipped cream, ube syrup, and a fresh fruit salsa; all complemented the waffles well. The chicken katsu was perfectly coated in panko and fried well. The poke was refreshing and came with crunchy pickled vegetables, edamame, and avocado; which was a healthy and tasty brunch dish! The Kalua pork breakfast sandwich was hearty and savory, and the potato salad completed the plate nicely. We finished our meal with the Hula pie. Must get, even if you don't have room! Once we had the food they were often checking in on us and refilling water and drinks. The drinks were very good, the mai tai and chi chi were exactly what was needed! Now the food... very disappointed. The ohana beef stew tasted very bland, and didn't have much of a Hawaiian flavor or vibe, felt like it could have been an Irish stew with the chunks of beef and veggies in a dark brown sauce. The ramen was very salty, and it didn't have much going for it either. The teriyaki chicken we added onto it was fine, but the flavor got lost once it went into the broth. I'm used to getting mac salad at a Hawaiian place so I was interested and excited to try a potato salad and cole slaw. The potato salad had a lot of flavor, but it did seem a little salty. The coleslaw might have been the best thing I ate there ... the pineapple chunks in it were very refreshing. I'd come back for a drink, and maybe an appetizer but I don't think I'd get an entree again.

Our waiter, Zachary, was amazing and always looked to keep our spirits up with jokes or recommendations, etc. Since we were also celebrating a birthday, they offered complimentary chocolates & a framed picture that they took for us -- great keepsake! The food itself tasted amazing, seafood was fresh. Also loved the sauce with the crab cakes -- no notes there. My only suggestion would be for the restaurant to look more into presentation of the food. Since we were only a party of 2, we just didn't need a full size of the seafood tower or poke. The way they came out just made the dish look a little lacking, like too much ice and not enough food; I think a smaller plate/bowl can easily do the trick. As for the ribeyes, they were cooked to perfection. I love a good medium rare steak! Again, my only note is with presentation- both steaks that we got just came out looking very brown. The steak was brown, then we added caramelized onions & mushrooms which only added more brown to the plate. There were a few pea sprouts (?) that added some green but I think literally anything else to the plate would help elevate it so much more and bring more color to the plate when eating.

It was pretty frustrating at the start. Starting with the parking situation, couldn't find parking anywhere but what do you expect from San Francisco... When we got inside it was super busy and we couldn't find a place to sit, and no one really stepped in to help us. After wandering around for about 15 minutes, we finally snagged a spot at a long shared table. Luckily, a bench table right next to the piano opened up shortly after and we jumped on it. I ended up facing the opposite direction, so I didn't have much of a view, but at least my sister and girlfriend got a front-row seat to the show! The drinks were just mediocre, and it took about 5-10 minutes for them to arrive. For the price and the wait, I was hoping for something a bit better. Why it's a 3-star review: Despite the rough start, there were three things that really saved the night: The theme is awesome. There is so much detail on the walls; you can tell a lot of work went into the decorations. Our waiter was great. Even though the place was slammed, he checked on us constantly to see how we were doing and if we needed another round. The piano player was the highlight. He really knew how to hype up the crowd and his skills were top-notch. Overall, a cool spot for the history and the music, but the seating and drink wait can be a challenge. Glad the girls got to see the show, as they are more interested in piano bars than I am.

I'm absolutely blown away. I was surprised about how good everything was. Might have been the best…read morefood I've had this year. My family ordered 1 appetizer, 4 entrees, and 2 drinks, all shared, and all 4 of us agreed that EVERY single item was phenomenal. That has absolutely NEVER happened before. At most restaurants, there's always at least one thing that someone doesn't like, and often multiple things that multiple people don't like. Not the case here. The appetizer was the spicy basil wings. Very good to start. But little did I know what was coming my way. The drinks were Thai tea and lychee limeade. The Thai tea was normal. As in good, I liked it. The lychee limeade was amazing, had to order another one. I would like to try the mango next time (there will definitely be a next time). Very sour, which I love. I hate lemonade that's not sour enough. Oh and that too, I usually hate limeade, don't really care for lemonade, and don't drink soda. I usually only drink water, juice, or tea (no coffee, alcohol rarely). So that's saying something. The Laos fried spring roll entree was really good. I always liked fried rolls but something about this tasted better. They were Laotian rolls, so maybe that was part of the difference from the ones you get from Pho restaurants. The duck over rice was amazing. I'm not usually one to pick duck, I don't mind it but I usually don't order it, but this was my mom's choice and it was really good. I like the sauce too. The Panang duck curry was so good. My mom doesn't even like curry and she liked it. And the Chiang Mai soup dish, I've never had anything like it. It was still hot after, I don't know, 20 minutes maybe? At the bottom especially. We all ate this together at the end, while the other dishes were in the order I listed them for myself (mostly, kinda switched around a bit eating family style), and generally the same for everyone else. I tasted a tiny bit of the soup in the beginning and thought it was nothing special, like when my spoon was clean it was the first thing I scooped. Only the soup though, none of the stuff inside. Honestly I didn't read what was in it, some crispy noodle or something. I was not sure if I would like it but my sister said she had it in Thailand and liked it so if I didn't like it she could eat it. That ended up not being a problem. Okay so anyway, we started on the soup at the end. To start, it was pretty good. Somehow, every bite we took tasted better and better, for at least like 5-10 bites maybe. At that point, I was thinking it's the best thing I've ever tasted. (But of course that's probably not actually true, and I'm just falling for the recency bias, kind of like how my favorite song changes all the time.) Never had anything like it. I've been missing out. But wow, I have to come back. And I highly recommend this place. Life changing experience honestly. Like if you asked me right now if I wanted to get Japanese or Korean (my other favorites) food or this, I would go here. I honestly wanted more of every single dish, especially the fried spring rolls, duck over rice, duck curry, and soup. Wait a second... that's all the entrees we ordered! Also the limeade. I need to get that again. But I also want to try other stuff next time so I'm torn. I literally need all 4 of these dishes again so I don't know what to do. I hope these dishes aren't seasonal or otherwise temporary. I noticed the menu had a month and year listed (I think it said April 2026 and it's May 3 2026 today) so I believe they update it frequently. If I lived closer I would come 20 times in a row and try every single thing, but unfortunately I live in San Ramon so it's not like I'm trying to go to Oakland every day. Soon though. My sister lives there, if I were her I would go here every day until I was sick of it, if that could ever be possible. I don't know if I could ever enjoy other food this much again. I was also completely sober so it wasn't like I had munchies or anything (felt I should specify being a young adult who grew up in California). Hmm, that gives me an idea for the future though. Even the pricing is fair (no dishes over $30), and the place is nice. Great service too. The only drawbacks are small tables for parties over 4 people, and it's REALLY loud in the restaurant, but well worth it. If you are sensitive to noise I'd recommend earplugs, earmuffs, earbuds, headphones, or something. The place is also relatively small. I'd recommend making a reservation if you plan to go on a Friday or Saturday night. It got busy, very busy. Well our reservation was at 6 and it wasn't crowded yet, a couple tables open, but by the time our food came out the place was absolutely packed and I think people without reservations had to wait to sit. I'm not sure though, I was too focused on the amazing food to care. Anyway, once again, highly recommend and I will be back.

Came here on a Sunday night with my family, and we might have a competitor for our favorite Laos…read moreplace. We got the following : Lao Appetizers Plate - Everything had great texture with the sausage standing out the most to me. Very soft and not too salty. Garlic Pork Spare Ribs - Great flavor, but a little on the dry side. Still tender enough to enjoy. Duck Larb Salad - Bright flavors and everything worked really well together. Recommend adding this to any meal balance out the other fried items. Kao Piak - I find that most places over cook their chickens, but the meats here were cooked perfectly. Broth was a bit salty for me, and I usually like the broth thicker, but still good overall. Mango Sticky Rice - I liked the crispy fried rice bits that added a nice crunch. Mango wasn't quite in season right now, but it was still sweet and soft enough. Overall service was great, and there is a lot of parking in the area. Def recommend checking it out.
