Came here last week after bar hopping around so we were already pretty tipsy. But we definitely enjoyed our drinks here. The decor is so cute! Felt like we were back in hawaii again! I do wish the drinks came out on the tiki cups though. Our bartender was super nice and told us to come back next week for the happy hour, but we have not made it out yet. We do plan on it. Came here with my wife, a fellow yelper and her partner. We all had a long week and it was a pre-bday turnup because my bday is 7/7. Our waitress was Erica (May be spelled differently). She was very attentive, knowledgeable, warm, and overall fantastic. We tried the seasonal corn appetizer. It was delicious. For my entree, I had the garlic chili shrimp (No pineapples and mild spice level). It came with coconut rice and that was not a match. I swapped the rice for regular. They were very accomodating to all my requests. My eye had the pork bowl (I think that's what it is called). The pork had a smokey taste. She stated it was delicious. We had some wings that they lit tableside. They were really good. For dessert, my wife had the pineapple dole whip with a shot of brandy. I received a birthday song along with Tiramisu cake. I did not eat the cake, but everyone said it was good. My wife had a regular mai tai and I had the ultimate. Both were delicious. Next, we tried the ...zombie. it is the highest alcohol level drink you can have. You can only order up to 2. It comes with a warning label....lol. Honestly, it was a good drink. I kept hearing about Tiki Tom's and decided it was time to go! I always love drinks at a tiki bar and this was definitely no exception. Great drinks, great food, immaculate vibes. It's a bit darker than some other Tiki bars, and a bit more cramped so it can get loud inside. But it was such a great trip. Such a cool place, I have known about this place for years and why I hadn't gone sooner I really don't know. Me and a coworker went after work for snacks and a drink sand wow this place is really cool, as soo n as you walk in your engulfed in Tiki vibes. The place isn't that big and it fills up super fast so try to get there early. We showed up at about 5:00 pm and when we left the line was super long and we over heard the waitress telling people the wait was well over an hour. The dude and I love niche bars, and this one delivered on atmosphere. The drinks were fire literally had one served on fire, which automatically earns points. Great music, fun energy, and the staff was friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. The food wasn't our favorite, so we'd come back more for drinks than dinner. So many great dishes and drinks! Came here for my friend's birthday lunch. Parking was not a problem in the garage behind the restaurant. We had reservations and got seated right away, but it took us awhile to pick from their extensive menu because everything sounded so delicious and fun. We ordered drinks and a few items to share. It was our first time visiting this week, and we knew it was going to be a great time when people were lined up 10 minutes before 4pm, when they open. It was such an experience walking in to a tiki room with beachy Santa vibes wherever you go. We ordered from the post card QR code menu, very cute, and because we'd already eaten we just ordered drinks, but the food orders smelled sooooo good whiffing past us while we were waiting for our drinks! I was stuck between the pina colada and the dole whip with rum. I went with the house made pina colada as is it was highly recommended by the staff and I'm so glad I did! I also ordered the Crimson Tide - a tequila based cocktail with lime, orgeat, strawberry and hibiscus. It was a cool drink to order, it came with a sugar cube on fire. My family had a fantastic time. We love tiki themed restaurants and Tiki Tom's has been our list for a while. So glad we were finally able to try it out. While there is no kids menu, there are plenty of items that kids enjoy so we had no issues. The service was fantastic we showed up at opening and everything came out fast. The inside is beautifully themed and my kids thought it was so fun they already asked to go back. All of the food we ordered was delicious and we would get it again. The only thing to watch out for is the walnut creeky tiki drink was different than I expected. I didn't think it would be creamy by looking at the ingredients but it was definitely more of a dessert drink. Still delicious though! We will be back soon. read more

I was just here on Halloween with my sisters and we had the time of our lives. My sisters and I were all dressed in our costumes. My older sister was Stuart from MadTV, I was Sangyeon from The Boyz Maverick music video and my younger sister was dressed as a Breaking Bad character. Anyhow, we went here for dinner and it was spectacular. Our waitress was super nice and even took our picture. For drinks, we got mocktails and I believe a cocktail too. I got a Castaway Cooler mocktails, my older sister got the Kunu's POG and I can't remember if my younger sister got a mocktail or cocktail. Surprises in life are hard to come by, especially good ones. This place was an amazing surprise. It was off to a good start the moment I stepped into the dark cozy themed tiki bar. I was taking a break from shopping and wanted to try something different from the generic restaurants and bars in the Walnut Creek area and this hit the spot. But, really the best part was the food! Don't get me wrong, the drinks were spot on tiki drinks but my shock was the delicious Kalua pork with mango cucumber slaw (pro tip, ask for more slaw and less rice). It's was gourmet quality!!! We wandered in on a whim while shopping and we're so glad we did. The place is decked out with vibrant tiki themed decorations and festive Christmas lights, creating an inviting atmosphere. River Jordan definitely deserves recognition for his hard work! This was our first time at Tiki Tom's, and I was craving island-inspired drinks and food--this spot was exactly what I needed. I also want to add how nice the decor is inside. It's dark, but it gives Tiki vibes. There is a parking garage nearby given that street parking is impossible especially during dinner and weekends. For drinks, I went with the Mac Makua Kane (The Mac Daddy), while my significant other chose the Benzombie. Warning: the Benzombie is no joke -- a sip probably would make me drunk. For the appetizers, I recommend the Loco Moco Gyoza and Puri Puri Pagan Wings. Both delicious and should've ordered more. For the main course, I tried the Ahi Tuna Bowl and my bf ordered the Loco Moco. Don't leave without getting the dole whip and haupia tiramisu! Fun place to have a birthday celebration! We saw many tables have a mini volcano with sparkler being presented where they shut most of the lights in the dining room, play a thunderstorm sound and loud Polynesian drum music. My friend's husband chose this restaurant to celebrate his wife's birthday & it's kid friendly too (their kids are 11 & 14) & there are menu items to please the kids too. No reservations are available on weekends so arrive early if possible. It's not a large restaurant so groups with more than 6 people may have a long wait. We waited about 25 minutes & walked around nearby bookstore until our table was ready. We shared coconut shrimp (easy to eat because they were on a skewer) & spam musubi to start. Spam musubi was nice & crispy & not too salty. Coconut shrimp was perfect crispy & flavorful too. I had the loco moco for my entree & it's served with a slice of spam & mushrooms, & the gravy is a bit different than the traditional loco moco I'm accustomed to in Hawaii but it's still good. The rice was not as fluffy as I'm used to but the gravy helped the rice out. For dessert, we shared the haupia tiramisu which had a light coconut flavor & the mango panna cotta. They added the sparkler to the tiramisu dessert for our birthday celebration. Service was warm & friendly. Had a pretty negative recent experience at Tiki Tom's despite having been a big fan over the course of many years. I made a reservation and arrived with a group of five people (groups of five or more include gratuity), and we were seated. Our server was a young woman who had quite a snappy behavior towards us. After we looked at the menu, many of us wanted to try the frozen piña colada. I joked with my friends that I had come to Tiki Tom's about four months ago, and that their frozen machine was broken, so imagine if it was broken again! When our server came to take the order she in fact stated plainly that their machine was broken. I said how funny, when I came here several months ago it was still broken. She was snappy and said it's still broken and that's how it is. Also, we are all an older and married looking bunch, but after the frozen piña colada exchange, she insisted we all show her our IDs. That's understandable, maybe we could have been sub-21-year olds dressed up as old folks at a tiki bar on a weeknight. Unfortunately for us, one of us forgot our ID (digital version not accepted), and we were told that none of us could order drinks. Fair enough, we decided that not having the frozen piña colada wasn't worth the stay, so we decided to leave. Before leaving, however, a group at another table of younger looking folks commented that it was ridiculous that we got our IDs checked, because they did not. Pretty ridiculous, did not feel worth a continued battle. Disappointing experience given that I've had several positive experiences here in the past. Not sure I will be coming back anytime soon. If you're going to have a broken frozen piña colada machine, maybe don't list it on your menu over the course of several months. read more

SO MUCH FUN!!! Came here for a girls night and it was the best choice we could have made!! Please note that the dining area is dim and they play loud sounds to celebrate birthdays and special occasions- it is super fun, but wouldn't be your cup of tea if you're looking for a quiet dining experience. Around us were lots of adult birthday parties and adult friend groups. We came Friday around 6:30pm. They don't do reservations on Fridays or Saturdays but luckily they still had a few tables available. The staff said they usually get busier around 7/7:30pm. The space is decorated all over and the tiki theme is executed perfectly. Their menu choices for food and drinks are plentiful- everyone can find something they like. The chili garlic shrimp was sweet and spicy and we loved it. The ribs were perfectly cooked and had the BEST crispy brussel sprouts on the side. The portions were good! The drinks were really good and mines came with some sort of flame! It's a fusion menu. The positions were huge and so many of us end up packing our food to go. Since we came after 10 PM, we got the "happy hour eats" menu (happy hour in spirit, but not in price). Got the Birria French Dip, which was so good! Beef marinated in birria, hashbrowns, cheese, and onions was like brunch rolled into a sandwich that you could dip in a delectable au jus dipping sauce. Haven't had anything quite a like it, but would definitely order again! Drinks-wise, the Walnut Creeki Tiki was a winner: banana, coconut, walnut, cocoa bitters, spiced rum, and nicely alcoholic. I downed it so quickly yet felt it shortly after. They really got the ambiance down. Not sure how it looked prior to renovation, but they utilized the space well and the screen displays make the place feel more expansive. Came here for a fun date night with friends. Super cute Hawaiian themed restaurant that's been here forEVER! They are under new management and is the happening place! Every table was taken and while we're were there, there was a steady crowd that came though. The food is tasty and they give attention to detail with cute decorations or flowers on the plate. Love their reuse of SPAM cans to hold the French fries. Although we had our dedicated server, it seemed like all the servers take care of everyone as we had multiple people checking on us and making sure we were doing well and enjoying ourselves.
