Mash fit the bill (pun intended hah) and did the job just fine. The drink menu is pretty expansive, both as far as liquor selection and cocktails as well. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that they have a few standard mocktails that they're known for! I tried the raspberry mock mule, and I'm happy to report that it's a hit. Great flavor and super refreshing, plus it offers a fun drink even if you're not drinking. The bartender was super nice and helped break down all the options as well. The crowd at mash is more collegiate than I was expecting -- I thought a whiskey inspired bar would driver an older crowd, but the bar was packed with early 20-somethings on a Saturday night. If you show up past 9pm on the weekend, there's a good chance you won't find a seat and will have to wait 20 minutes to get through the line at the bar, but Mash serves as a great place to meet up with the crew. As we were leaving around 11, we spotted a huge line out the door trying to get in too; it seems like the collegiate clientele have really designated Mqsh as the place to be on a weekend night! Overall, I'd recommend Mash -- I'm looking forward to going back and trying out more of their menu!

If you're looking to party in the day time or people watch; the pool was awesome. Grab a lounge chair or jump right into the mess and you're transported to a Jersey Shore-esque atmosphere (but I'm told less Jersey Shore than some of the other swim up bars that Put In Bay offers). When we went on Sunday at 3pm, the party was going full swing and the DJ was great. There was no cover charge on Sunday and my friends reported the drinks as strong and reasonably priced. We stayed there for a few hours, danced in the pool, did plenty of people watching and enjoyed the escape from reality. One other complaint: I hate it when Hookah bars line the front of their store space with "other" smoking paraphernalia. I'm not a prude or anything but smoking a hookah pipe is equivalent to smoking a pipe or a cigar. That said I think there is a real marketing flaw in lining the store with expensive bongs and marijuana pipes. It projects a crap message: that hookah smoking is equivalent to smoking other things; I'm fine with pot smoking but it's a crap marketing move and it'll alienate some of your clientèle. Case in point: this might be the reason Matt C. describes the place as "sketchy," I don't know him so that's just my educated guess. All in all: it's okay.

They have a large selection of flavors to choose from, and tend to be attentive in adding coals. They additionally have a small selection of drinks to choose from, but no external drinks may be brought in. If you like smoking shisha enough, they even sell pipes and tobacco for you take home. While not my favorite place in town, it is opened late to appease the bar crowds. Since many people don't stay out too late on weekdays, this makes Six Lounge a decent place to study at night.

I love it when they bust out with some old school you forgot about (like "Candy Rain" by Immature!), or some of newer things that won't get that much air time on the radio. DJ Graffiti and Benny Ben deejay the event, and sometimes they have special guests. One time I got to see Monica Blair perform which was amazing because that woman has so much energy in her. She was even able to improvise when the venue had a sound mishap! Buff 1 hosts the night. He always cracks me up, especially when he calls out to the "V.I. Pretenders" trying to sit behind the red rope. They also have open mic where you can listen to some local talent. It can be hit or miss, but when it is a hit, it is a huge hit. Often they have spoken word, but they will also have musicians and beat boxers. I once heard a buy beat box Aaliyah's "If Your Girl Only Knew" re-mixed, complete with words.
