We are having to delay our remodeling project till next year, so I will update this review with…read moremore info when we move forward, but Teamwork Home Designs already deserves a resounding 5 Stars, and is absolutely who we would want to move forward with. Avi was an absolutely delight. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. Very thoughtful approach in our initial meeting. So many images from their highly impressive portfolio to help us think through options. Excellent examples of communication and workflow from previous projects. Instantly ready to share previous customers we could reach out to for references. A really good balance between sharing his ideas for our project, but also really listening to our feedback on what we wanted/invisoned. All the right insights for how to keep us in budget, and very generous with (we can add this/that for little/no extra costs since we're already doing XYZ). We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. We got a few quotes and would have felt confident moving forward with any of them when the time came, but the quality of their portfolio and Avi's attentive listening definitely put Teamwork Home Designs at the top of the list. Can't wait to work with them in the future.

My experience with this company was disappointing. Before hiring, I recommend asking to speak with…read moreprior clients and reviewing completed projects similar to the scope of work you are considering. The team appeared comfortable working on bathroom renovations; however, the shower diverter was not installed correctly, which caused the handle to be improperly aligned. We later hired a licensed plumber to inspect and correct the issue. Overall, the quality of work did not meet our expectations. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation. This project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, and I would not choose to work with this company again.

Our kitchen is a picture of absolute perfection - thanks for Alex and his team! He did an amazing…read morejob and went above and beyond to make sure everything - absolutely everything, was perfect and to our liking. I was in awe of his attention to detail, the care he showed from the beginning of the process to the very end and the precision with which everything was executed. A+ indeed!!! Here is the whole story for those interested: We are in the process of bringing our whole house into the 21st century and we decided to start with the hardest, but probably most exciting - our kitchen. It took several months for us to come up with the design and pick the cabinets. We knew we would most likely pick IKEA cabinets as they are about the only place in town that offers great modern-looking cabinets. We looked at Lowes, Home Depot and Cabinets to Go, just to check them off the list and decided to go with IKEA in the end, just as we thought we would. Another reason we went with IKEA was because they offer an online kitchen planning tool where you can do your layout and see how everything fits and IKEA will even verify your plan and create a shopping list for you so you order everything that's needed. We also liked IKEA's price transparency - you make your plan, you pick your cabinets and the program calculates the total price of your kitchen for you. We even thought we would get the countertop there and have everything installed by IKEA, to make the process super easy and simple. So once we designed the kitchen, picked our cabinets and were ready to move forward with installation, it turned out not everything was that simple. IKEA told us that we would not be able to get what we wanted because they hardly do any customizations - they don't cut cabinets, they don't cut doors, they wouldn't put a panel we wanted on one of the kitchen walls and they wouldn't even adjust an insert for a 12" cabinet to have one shelf instead of two! And every time we talked to an IKEA rep they told us a different thing! We were getting frustrated and after several weeks of trying to make adjustments and make compromises, we decided that we need to go with plan B - find someone else to install our kitchen. While starting looking for someone else, I remembered that one of my friends, who had her kitchen done recently, highly recommended Aplus. I found the phone number and called. I left a message and Alex promptly returned my call. He came over that same week to look at the space and I immediately had a good feeling about him. I emailed him the kitchen plan and he provided a quote a few days later. The quote was comparable to IKEA price-wise, but we were getting everything we wanted and more, so I told Alex that we, of course, are going to pick APlus! Installation was very smooth and I felt like it was more of a collaboration than a hired contractor doing an installation. I told Alex that there were some things I was not sure about and wanted to see how each version would look before deciding on the final one and Alex was more than happy to accommodate and he provided lots of invaluable advice, too. He also provided extra services per our request. We wanted to install laminate on all three walls in the kitchen to serve as backsplash and when I told him that I had trouble finding someone to do it, he agreed to install it and it looks perfect! He also installed the exhaust hood - and it's perfect, of course. I tell you - we would hire Alex to do EVERYTHING he would agree to do with the rest of the remodel - that's how much we trust him and appreciate the quality of his work. I know I am going to sound very sentimental when I say this, but I truly feel that he is a rare gem that we were lucky to find. The love and care he puts into his work is absolutely priceless!

When I got my receipt, I noticed that I was overcharged on a couple of lids, and asked the cashier to adjust the prices. He told me I had to go to the back of the line so that he could help the other customers first. He kept my receipt and items purchased in the 2 bags behind the register. After helping the other customers, I went up to the register. Without saying anything, he went to the adjacent register and was preoccupied doing something for several minutes. I went to that register to see what he was doing. He was peeling off the original price tags and replacing them with new price tags. He then smugly handed me the lids saying, "there, now these match your receipt". I went to a basket next to the original register and picked up two more lids with the lower prices, and said, "then, I'll take these two instead." He then shouted that I could not get those prices. That the prices are going up, and that if I didn't like the price I was charged, then I could return my purchases. I told him I did not want to return them and that I would like my bags and receipt. He refused to give them to me. I told him I had purchased those items, and that I wanted them now. He again refused to give them to me. He said they were now his. I went behind the register to get my bags and receipt. He then grabbed my right forearm and twisted it like he was wringing a towel. He also clawed my wrist with his fingernails, which cut my skin (cut was witnessed by the police afterwards). He then released me and ran to lock the front door, keeping me and two other women hostage in the store. When a young couple came to the door trying to enter the store, he told them, "sorry, we're closed right now". He then sauntered back to the register to pick up the phone. Meanwhile, I called 911, who contacted the Round Rock police. I told the dispatcher to please ask them to hurry, as I'm pregnant and am high-risk due to my condition. I was seriously starting to hyperventilate from the anxiety. A few minutes later, about a dozen police/security officers, some in uniform and some in street clothes, were lined up along the wall of both sides of the store. I believe the security called the store telling the cashier to open the door. He went to unlock the door, then went outside to talk to the police. A police officer came inside to let me know that I could now come outside for questioning. I told the officer what happened. He then asked the cashier who was standing nearby, "did she purchase those items in the bags?" The cashier said, "yes". The officer then asked, "is that her receipt?" The cashier said, "yes". The officer then asked, "why didn't you give them to her then?" The cashier said, "she wanted to return the items". The officer then asked, "but, did she cancel her return?" The cashier said, "yes". The officer then asked, "so those are her purchases and her receipt?" The cashier said "yes". After some more questioning, the police officer told me to take photos of my wrist, gave me information about the cashier so that I can press charges, and told the cashier "you cannot lock people in the store. If you feel that you need help, you need to call security, but you cannot lock people inside the store." Soon afterwards, I went on my way. The incident was absolutely crazy, and got crazier by the minute!
