I had the worst customer experience I've ever had with this company. I should have known when,…read morewithout any communication, the technician was late for the first appointment. I have an LG oven that was not turning on. When the technician finally did show up, it was the end of the day, and he seemed like he just wanted to go home. He said he knew the problem but couldn't find the serial or model number, but he'd "figure it out" and left. After a week with nothing from this company, we finally got someone to text back. My wife quickly found the serial number on the back, and we supplied the model number so they could order the part. I took another day off work only to have the technician not show up. For the third appointment, I confirmed with the office that the part would be in for our 3-5 pm appointment window. So, I took the afternoon off of work again. At 3 pm, I was told the part wasn't in yet, too late as I was already home, burning more vacation time. We scheduled ANOTHER appointment for Sunday at noon. Again, there was no call and no-show from the technician. VERTEX Home Services LLC even sent me a screenshot at 1:35 pm showing that the technician had "just woken up." I thought it was unprofessional to send me internal company texts showing their technician didn't even wake up until 1:35 pm, an hour and 15 minutes after our appointment. When the technician did show up, he was late every time. Whoever responds to their text is highly unprofessional, sending "thumbs up" to customer questions rather than actual answers, leaving the customer unclear if they mean, "ok, I read your message," or that they are confirming a question asked. Three days taken off from work, three weeks of frustration, and an oven that still doesn't work. Avoid this company at all costs. It is not professionally run, not responsive to customer questions, late for every appointment, and ultimately, it couldn't do the job.

I was not pleased with Vertex's service and would not recommend them. Initially I had a good…read moreexperience with the customer service rep, Monica, who scheduled my diagnostic visit. She was friendly and professional and explained the intricacies of the visit and the pricing. On the day of the diagnostic appointment, the repair man came and explained what was wrong with the dryer. He said the repairs would require two people and he would need to come back with another person. I scheduled the follow-up appointment for a few days later and was told that the service person(s) would arrive between 12-3. There was zero communication between noon and 2:40, so I called Vertex five times (with no answer) and sent two emails. At 2:53 a customer service rep called me back and explained that my dryer would not be serviced because the company was unable to secure another repair person for the job. I asked her why this was being communicated to me five minutes before the conclusion of my service window, to which she did not have a satisfactory answer. She simply said that they had been trying to contact someone (or pick someone up at Home Depot) but were unsuccessful. She then asked me if I would be able to assist the repair person with the job. I told her that if I was able to do the job, I would not have contacted their company. I also explained that the repair person during my diagnostic visit explicitly stated that two people would be needed for the follow-up visit and they had three and a half days to secure someone. So, it was completely unacceptable that they were informing me five minutes before the conclusion of my service window that they would not be able to assist with the job. Despite the headache I was willing to give the company another try and asked to reschedule. I was flat out told, no--they had no clue when they would be able to secure two service repair people. I have never communicated with a company that so blatantly refuses to accept business. I requested a full refund of my $90 deposit and was first told that I would only get 50% back. I pushed back and the customer service rep indicated that they would give me a full refund. Based on my initial interactions, I had high hopes for Vertex but was sadly very disappointed.
