Scam. Absolute horrible customer service. Came out for an inspection to assess an appliance that was faulty and not broken. By the time the serviceman left the appliance was not in working condition. Customer service representative is combative...didn't take accountability and hung up the phone with no resolution. Read their responses to other negative reviews (O accountability or solutions and are combative). They charge more money for a repair than the actual appliance is worth. It seems their business model is based off scamming customers for the assessment fees, breaking the appliance and then charging 2x as much as the appliance is worth. Save yourself the hassle go with a different company or just buy new. Never dealt with such rude people...I was actually shocked. Looking at all these reviews it's noted others share the same experience. Absolutely unacceptable. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and making a report to their licensing agency. This was by far one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. The technician had to come out three times just to fix a basic issue with my ice maker. After it was finally "fixed," it started leaking -- something that had never happened before. He was consistently rude, dismissive, and acted like he was doing me a favor. On the last visit, he demanded extra payment because he said I had "wasted his time," even though the problem was caused by his own bad installation. To make things worse, he refused to accept Zelle and insisted on cash only, even though he never once mentioned to me he only accepted cash, speaking to me with complete disrespect when I didn't have cash on hand. We had a broken heating coil in our dryer. We had them come out to take a look. They did not open the dryer or take a look at anything. They turned it on then off and gave us a price of about 500 with the part being 290. We looked online we found the part for considerably less and told them we would not be paying over what the part cost. I was in a bind when one day out of nowhere my GE Cafe dishwasher started flooding. First I tried the YouTube route and tried to replace the flood sensor myself hoping that will fix the flooding issue. Unfortunately it did not and that point I was scrambling. That brought me here on Yelp and a search for highly rated dishwasher pros led me to Royal Appliance Repair. This was Saturday night. I left them a message stating my issue. Sunday morning I wake up and their was a response from them waiting for me in the inbox. A few quick exchange of messages and we were set with an appointment for Monday afternoon. On the day of the appointment Royal Appliance Repair was running behind and they let me know in advance and asked me if I am still okay with them arriving a little late. Royal Appliance owner Mr. Jaskinder Singh himself along with another tech showed up at the revised time. Once they arrived it took them less than 10 minutes to diagnose the problem. It was a faulty inlet valve. I shared with them that I already changed the flood sensor and I am worried that I might have damaged the harness. Even though this would have meant spending additional time on diagnosis they gladly checked the harness for me and confirmed that it is perfectly fine. After the diagnosis they provided me with the estimate which was very reasonable. They waived the diagnosis since I decided to go with the repair. At the time of the diagnosis, Mr. Singh suggested that the part will arrive in 3-4 days. However, after only couple of days I received a message from them that the part has arrived and they will show up in the afternoon to make the repair. They came right on time and repair took less than 30 minutes. Mr. Singh made me aware that the part wasn't as expensive as he had estimated. As a result my final invoice was less than the original estimate. I really appreciated this honesty. Not many pros will do that. They will instead pocket the difference and charge the original estimate. After the repair dishwasher started operating like usual and I was super happy with the repair. However, there was one thing I noticed. Top shelf of the dishwasher got a little misaligned and it took a little wiggle to push it in completely. I let Mr. Singh know of this. He asked me to not force it in and he will be back to take a look. He was back in a couple of days as promised and took care of the issue with no extra charge. Again this was extremely appreciated. Other pros would have charged extra for this additional visit. All in all I am extremely happy with the responsiveness, expertise, honesty and customer service of Royal Appliance Repair. From now on they will remain on my speed dial for any appliance issues, be it refrigerator, ovens, dishwashers, microwave, cooktops or washer and dryer. read more

My Thermador oven stopped working. I called Royal Appliance. The Service man came out diagnosed the problem and gave me a charge of $3890.00 to fix it. I agreed and gave him a $900 deposit. A week later they sent a different Service man to replace the control panel which included removing the oven from its location in the wall. The guy had a really hard time removing the oven and he started violently rocking it back & forth but he couldn't get it out so he called someone who talked him through it and eventually the oven was removed from the wall and the part was replaced. He then replaced the oven in the wall and told me he was done & wanted payment for the balance. When I inspected his work I discovered the upper oven was not flush with the wall and the cabinet below the oven would not close. He told me he couldn't do any more and for me to get a carpenter to fix the cabinet. I told him I was not happy and that he should call his supervisor and send me a carpenter to fix the damage & put the oven back the way he found it. A carpenter came a few days later and fixed the problem. When i went to pay him I said I'm giving you the balance of $2990.00. He said no it's more because you have to pay tax & shipping which was an additional $358.00. I said the total amount I was given was $3890.00. He said look at the paper it says plus fees. Nobody told me about any additional fees & the carbon copy I was given wall illegible. Anyway, I paid the total of $4,148.00 and I WILL NEVER CALL THESE PEOPLE AGAIN. read more

I don't often leave reviews, particularly for poor experiences as I know everyone can have an off day. I called this company on a Saturday afternoon after finding out my microwave, which appeared to otherwise be functioning normally, wasn't heating. I called the number listed and a man answered the phone "Hello". I wasn't even sure I had called the right company, and sounded like I had woken him up from a nap. After offering an appointment time two days later, and me asking if they had availability over the weekend, he said he did have openings later in the day. When the tech arrived he asked me to put on a mask, which was no problem at all and totally understandable, but neglected to take off his shoes inside my home which I indicated was my preference. He needed me to find a step stool as he did not have one, and spent a total of 4 minutes in my kitchen before staying which piece was faulty, and quoting $250 and a turn time of 5 days to complete. I let him know I would be replacing it with a new appliance, as $250 and 5 days seemed pretty absurd. $50 "service call" fee charged for 4 minute visit and absurd quote for replacement part and labor. Washer died before the spin cycle. Full of water and saturated bath sheets and mats. I went to Yelp and within ten minutes Royal messaged back to arrange a service call that day. The tech arrived well within the window I was given. The problem was quickly diagnosed (the drain pump was dead) and fixed. The cost was reasonable, especially considering it was the same day.
