We got 6 tasting options and they were great. We ended up leaving with a bottle of OPM sparkling wine (I think it's a sangria), we loved it. It's very spacious inside with quite a few tables so you can eat inside away from the sun and heat. They also had tables outside for bigger parties, and chairs set up along the windows outside overlooking the vineyard. It was gorgeous and we got some nice pictures. Service from everyone who helped us was fantastic! If we lived nearby I think this could become a regular spot.

I tend to make a half day out of it and enjoy my free glass of wine and then open a bottle while enjoying lunch at Meritage. The food is excellent. I try to eat something different each time because love goes into the food. First time I had the burger and fries (duh). This time was different. Started with the Heirloom Tomato and Burrata. Plump juicy tomatoes, creamy burrata, and the crostini was perfect. Added balsamic glaze was so delicious. The waitress brought out an octopus dish, and I forget what it was called. It was chilled. Never had octopus before but she insisted that it was Chefs specialty. (Perks of a being a member). Interesting. It was very tasty, I'm just not a fan of octopus. I ordered the beef bourbuignon. The beef was so tender it fell apart barely touching it with my fork. The potatoes were creamy and the carrots/onions were like they just got pulled from the garden. Such a hearty and delicious meal with great gravy. Finally, my girlfriend got the pesto pasta (again). Same thing she got last time because she liked it so much. The pesto was some of the best I've had. Really earthy taste to the mushrooms and pesto. The pasta was perfectly cooked. Oh! And since it was my birthday, I got a bread pudding as compliments. That was wonderful. Sat a great little table near the window overlooking the vineyards. If you come here, make sure to treat yourself and order food AND wine.

On weekends, they forgo their typical menu for a buffet brunch for $36 dollars per person. When we arrived, we were seated outside per our request. Despite the Temecula heat, we were pretty comfortable due to adequate shading. The patio wasn't crowded, as possibly we came after the main brunch crowd, since our reservation was at 1PM. There was a lovely cover artist singing and playing music while we were there. Only a few tables were filled. For drinks, my friends chose the Bloody Mary bar. They enjoyed their drinks, as the bar had a nice selection. I chose the bottomless mimosas, as it was worth it if I even had two. I ended up having three, one raspberry, one guava, and a traditional orange. The buffet, though not huge, was very nice and still rather large, and very reasonable for only $36. The fruit was fresh and delicious, and they had a lovely spread with smoked salmon and lots of toppings for the bagels. I chose the made-to-order omelette station and had a full veggie omelette with lots of mushrooms. I also really enjoyed the sopes, something I don't often find these days. They were great, with slightly crispy bottoms and delicate toppings. The food was so good, I would have gone back for seconds or dessert pastries, but one can only eat so much. All servers I've had have been friendly, very attentive, and accommodating. This last trip, they had to close the bistro early for an event, and kept the kitchen open for us when we showed up after they had shut it down. (Who does that?!) We came to this place on the Saturday after my official birthday which was good because my palette was fresh and ready to try new wine. They have been open since 2010 and they The property itself is gorgeous, but the coolest part is definitely the main tasting room. They have this massive glass floor where you can look straight down into the barrel cellar. It's such a unique vibe and makes for amazing photos. And on this day you can even see the set up for a wedding they were having later on that day. We did the premier tasting flight out on the patio by the water and the wine was fantastic. We also ordered some food from the bistro-the strawberry salad with chicken and Parmesan truffle fries-which had great portions we really didn't even need the fries. The salad with the goat cheese went perfectly with the wine we were drinking. A huge shoutout to Matt, the Operations Manager, who took such great care of us. The entire staff was super welcoming and really made my birthday feel extra special. Highly recommend stopping by whether you're doing a couples trip or a girls' weekend! I can't wait to come back!
