The dining room exhibits a "sports bar-like" feel, as it showcases many television screens and overlooks the scenic golf course. From the "Starters" section of the menu, I began my lunch with an order of "Kettle Chips." This was truly the way a way to start today's lunch! The menu describes the "Kettle Chips" as "Sliced Russets tossed in Parmesan cheese with chipotle lime aioli." Such a simple description for a delicious appetizer... The Russet potato chips were thinly cut, seasoned, and deep fried to perfection. Surprise... skin was left on the potato chips which added an "earthy" goodness and texture. The chips were tossed with shredded Parmesan cheese with diced parsley, which made for a combination to die for... or better yet, to live for... The "Aioli" sauce made for perfect dipping for the chips, as it was tangy, seasoned, and had the perfect touch of garlic, and it made such a great addition to this wonderful appetizer. From the "From The Grill" section of the menu, I went with a "Pastrami Reuben Sandwich," and "House Fries" as my side dish of choice. The menu describes this amazing sandwich as, "Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, 1000 Island dressing, on a grilled marble rye bread. I describe this sandwich as simply delicious. Where do I begin to describe the goodness of this sandwich? Alright... with the pastrami, grilled to perfection, tender and juicy. Ridge does not skimp on the meat, as there was lots of pastrami on the sandwich. The rye bread was grilled, buttered and toasted perfectly, which made for a great foundation for the meat. Perfectly melted Swill cheese complemented the pastrami, along with sauerkrat - oh my! - and "Thousand Island Dressing" to complete the sandwich. Like a perfect burger, the combination of meat, bread, sides and dressing worked wonderfully, and the meat-to-bread radio worked out perfectly. How many ways can I say this Rueben sandwich was way above "par" in every way? The "House Fries" were simply amazing, as they were not simply fries, as the fries were "loaded" with shredded Swiss cheese, diced parsley and sliced red jalapeño slices. Loaded to perfection! The fries were grilled to perfection, as they were crispy golden brown on the outside, and tender, white and juicy on the inside. The presentation of the fries, and the entire meal, was so beautiful that I hesitated in taking a bite, as not to spoil the beauty. Almost... The small cup of ketchup was a welcome addition, as it made for a great dipping sauce for the fries... not that they needed any enhancement. One bite into the sandwich was simply "heaven," as it was so delicious! The buttered, toasted rye bread, sauerkraut, 1000 Island dressing, Swiss cheese and pastrami... what a sensation! Friendly Debi mentioned the "Pastrami Reuben Sandwich" was a favorite from the menu, and I understand, as this sandwich was simply amazing. I love this place! It is centrally located off of Bell Road and about 7 minutes to highway 80 in Auburn. First of all the grounds are impeccable! Even though we have had heavy rain for several days there was still quite a few golfers enjoying the sunshine today! This place holds alot of golf tournaments AND Weddings. Beautiful decor. Indoor and outdoor seating ( outdoor seating is always busy during the warm days). It may be pretentious when you walk in but it is quite the opposite! I like to go here on my way back from Roseville to enjoy a nice lunch in their restaurant or sit outside and enjoy the views. Prices are all almost under 10 dollars on many popular items. Very relaxing atmosphere! They also have a pro shop on site. They offer a fulll bar which is totally budget friendly! Daily specials. Tons of parking (including a full row of handicapped parking). This is a great place to play golf OR hang with your friends with great food and cocktails ! If you are looking for a place to relax this is it! First time visit, as we entered the Golf Clubhouse lobby, a light unpleasant odor caused us almost to consider another lunch venue but had dissipated by the time we entered the restaurant. The server was pleasant, the fare was nothing spectacular, fairly standard salads, fairly fresh lettuce but the patty melt was plated as a regular burger, not the usual laid out version I'm accustomed to. I ordered the onion rings to accompany it and I had 7 small ones.. It's great for reunions, weddings, and conferences, and they have a wonderful shop for golfing items, and little treasures. I personally love their menu for the salmon, chicken, and burgers. The Ridge Bar and Grill has a statue of President Reagan out front!! I have stopped in to the Ridge for a quick lunch on a few occasions with coworkers. It is an elegant setting and can be quite beautiful on a nice sunny day. The grounds are dotted with bronze statues. Did I mention that they have a striking statue of President Reagan out front?!? I love eating at The Ridge. My food has always been delicious. It nicely prepared & beautiful presented. The wait staff is extremely nice. I think they have the best happy hour in town- it's from 4-7, everyday-When I get their steak tacos & a glass of wine my bill is under $10!!! Tonight I had the salmon with garlic mashed potatoes & grilled asparagus--so good. I don't know why this isn't the busiest place in Auburn--but it still seems to be a secret. I always rave about the Clam Chowder at the Ridge so I make it a habit to call to ask when it was being offered. Now they are serving Fish N Chips every Friday so I got that with a side order of the Chowder to take home for later. OMG! These were the best Fish N Chips I have ever eaten! I have ordered them every where but no one can match the flavor and texture of the Ridge's Fish N Chips. The beer batter was thin very crispy with tons of flavor while the healthy chunk of fish was moist and perfectly done. I will be going to the Ridge every Friday from this point on. Absolutely no one was wearing masks. Including the waiter and waitresses. In fact, they were looking at us like we were crazy for wearing masks. I can only imagine the chefs aren't either. Called ahead and asked about their COVID precautions and they simply said "we don't enforce masks because it's hard to". It's a state law at this time. Sad because the staff was very nice and food was great. But I will not be returning and I suggest if you are high risk or are still practicing social distancing do not come to this place because they aren't taking safety precautions seriously. Let me start my review by saying that I'm a very big fan up to this point of the ridge. I always take out of town guest here because I think so highly of the rate of play and course conditions. Haven't played in 8 months due to the price hike over Covid. I'm currently playing, just reached hole12 and over 3:30 on course. We have been backed up since hole 3. Sometimes 4 groups on a single hole. Called the clubhouse on hole 3 and nothing changed all day. I get slow rounds, but this is crazy. Course conditions have also dramatically changed. Greens are slow and bumpy. Apron of the green spotty of some holes. Fairways are not in great shape. Hope to see them get back on track. Why have a marshal with no follow through. read more

Not sure what server SHANES issue was/is but hospitality and costumer service are not his strong suit. First, the place and grounds are beautiful and inviting, but this service is NOT. Second, we were a rather large party, so I understand the frustration, but there were no more than 4-5 other tables seated in the whole place. Shane, our server made us feel uncomfortable from the start with his demeaning, snarky attitude. Not only was he rude, but ignorant as he did not know the menu and proceeded to argue with one of us about something not being included in the meal when the menu clearly stated it was. After he acknowledged we were right he proceeded to say "if there's a problem here I can get my manager." We're paying customers, it's not like we walked in expecting a free meal. Never coming here again, and if you choose to I hope you don't get Shane. Seems like he has a lot of bad days and takes it out on your customers. read more

I had another great Happy Hour meal at the Ridge tonight. They must have the best Happy Hour menu in Auburn & it's from 4-7p -7 days a week!
