Mmm... pasta heaven... After a fun day with my neighbor, we decided we wanted to get something good to eat... and when we are together, we like to go all out. Pasquale's has been at the top of my list for a long time. It's located in downtown Auburn surrounded by other good places to eat and shop. The parking lot is tiny, but there is plenty of street parking available. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. When we walked in (close to 3), we were in awe of how beautiful it is in here. It was not busy, and we weren't at helped away, but that's ok because we were able to admire how gorgeous it was all around us. You can't help but notice the big cheese wheel in their display case. When I think of my favorite kind of pasta, it involves a cheese wheel... There is a bar top with high top chairs just waiting for you. They offer draft beers, wine and a full bar... but we decided we wanted a booth today. Inside Pasquale's is a brick wall interior with wooden flooring, where booths and tables are set up. It was cozy and very inviting. We barely glanced at the menu and knew right away what we were going to order. Now, I normally do not order anything with alfredo from anywhere... but something told me not to pass it up this time. I ordered the Salmon Fettuccine Alfredo, and Mary ordered the Lobster Ravioli. We also wanted a couple of Expresso Martinis to start. I think we were both starving, so we also ordered garlic bread to come out first. First, the Expresso Martini's arrived. They were in in a stemless martini glasses. They feature the same iconic, V-shaped as traditional martini glasses. I loved the way they were garnished with 3 coffee beans on top. The taste was rich with bold flavors that had a crisp kick of vodka. If I ever have an Expresso Martini from anywhere else, it'll forever be compared to this one. 5/5 Our garlic bread arrived shortly after we started sipping on our Martinis. They had the perfect crunch. The warm butter builds up with every bite to let you know it's there. Not overwhelming, or dripping, but it was just right. The garlic flavor was great 5/5 Mary's Lobster Ravioli was beautiful... the Ravioli was made with striped pasta dough; it looked stunning. The sauce on my Salmon Fettuccine Alfredo was gleaming, and looked so smooth. The salmon looked perfectly seared, seasoned with s&p and garnished with a lemon. slice. We were ready to dig in. My first bite was the delicious noodles... a savory, velvety cream sauce. It was like fireworks were going off. The Alfredo sauce coated every noodle flawlessly. Then I tried the salmon by itself... mmmm! Crispy, flakey, and moist!!! Now together... The contrast between the tender, buttery salmon and the hearty ribbons of pasta creates a spectacular mouthfeel... and the rich, buttery flavor of the fish went perfectly with noodles! Together, it was like the grand finale of a fireworks show on crack in my mouth. 555/5 Mary and I exchanged bites of our dishes. The Lobster Ravioli she ordered was delicious.. also garnished with a lemon slice. It was exactly how I felt like Lobster Ravioli should taste. This was a perfectly balanced dish as well, because it can be so easy to want to pack on the lobster to make a good dish, but then that's how you lose the rest of the flavor of the alfredo sauce and the tender taste of the pasta... but Pasquale's nailed that perfect flavor with the perfect amount of ingredients, getting us to crave the next bite. 555/5 After reading up on the history of Pasquale's, I found out it is owned and operated by Laura McGuire along with her daughter, Sophia. Laura was a former employee at the original Pasquale T's, which was a beloved Auburn staple in the 1980s and 90s. She brought the restaurant back to life in 2023, keeping it a true family-run establishment. If you're craving a rich and comforting meal, the Fettuccine Salmon Alfredo Pasta is my go to... it is one of my ultimate indulgences. Mama Mia, it's amazing! As someone who's part Italian and quite picky about Italian food establishments, I often wonder if they truly serve authentic Italian cuisine or just American-Italian dishes. Well, thanks to my cousins from Rocklin who introduced me to this charming Italian restaurant nestled in the hills of Auburn, I can confidently say: thank you, and well done! From the moment we walked into this family-run establishment, we were greeted by friendly servers and a wonderful ambiance. The inviting atmosphere made it feel like we had temporarily escaped the greater Placer area to an authentic Italian bungalow, perhaps in a quaint Italian neighborhood. The delightful aromas and the selection of Italian wines set the stage for a wonderful evening filled with delicious food and laughter. Everyone around us appeared to be enjoying their meals! We were quickly seated, and our server, Gina, did an excellent job explaining the specials and suggesting wine pairings. I opted for the spaghetti with meat sauce, which was fantastic, and their salads are superb, drizzled with an Italian dressing that only Mama could make. Updated review. This visit was more successful with a fantastic beef ravioli w meat sauce, custom built pizza and fettuccine alfredo. All three dishes were sensational. Beef ravioli w meat sauce was a combination of a tasty braised beef, with a tangy and hardy meat sauce - great flavor! Pizza was thin crust which is our favorite. Quality of the pizza outstanding! Mom's fettuccine was huge. A very creamy, flavorful sauce. Of course the garlic bread was as good as always. Our server was 5 star - very patient with the custom order. read more

The pros: The staff is really nice and its a cozy atmosphere. Chicken fettucini was the best dish of our table. It was really good with large pieces of chicken and lots of sauce. The cons: We ordered 2 cocktails, and 1 came out but after some time passed and we asked where the other one was we were told it would be a minute because they had no bartender on duty yet. Okay... The steak was underwhelming, but the fries were good. Then onto dessert... we ordered the caramel cheesecake to share and it was decent. Kinda rich. Between the two of us, we didn't even finish it. The bruschetta was also just okay. Its texture is like a crouton. I prefer it on a toasted bread. Friends told me they have good pizza. Maybe I'd try that instead next time, if I returned. read more

The star of this place is that penne alfredo with sausage and OMG the garlic bread is drenched in a pool of butter ( and i mean that in the best way possible ). Not where you should come if you're on a diet . This place was very solid and deserving of 5 stars. The food was yummy, hot and flavorful. Service was fantastic and our server was so knowledgeable, friendly and charismatic. We celebrated a birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the space! My only comment on the food would be on the lasagna - i would've liked a bit more tomato in the sausage. So.. I was in a mood for a Steak dinner. But it can be a challenge to find someplace in Auburn. I went to Pasquale's and was not disappointed! Great option in Auburn!! The staff is friendly and attentive--they make you feel right at home. I've been here both as a table of four and with a group of 10, and both times were fantastic experiences with great service. I was determined to try something new on my last visit. So many tempting options like the pesto gnocchi, lasagna, and mushroom ravioli, but I couldn't resist the lemon risotto with scallops. It was incredible--the scallops literally melt in your mouth, the risotto is perfectly creamy and tender, and the asparagus is cooked just right. Perfection! For dessert, the crème brûlée was outstanding--I loved how the caramelized sugar top was thick rather than delicate. That extra crunch was so satisfying--yum! On a previous visit, I tried the pumpkin crème brûlée, which was also delicious. And oh, the garlic bread--it's a solid 10/10! If there's any left over, an air fryer at home becomes your best friend for reheating. Starters are a must too! The Burrata Salad is creamy and fresh, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts are addictive (perfectly caramelized), and the bruschetta is a great lighter option if you're not super hungry--all so good! One note: They only have a wine and beer license, but they have a great selection of wines. (I always go for wine with Italian food, so I haven't tried their cocktails yet--they're made with wine-based alcohol and sound interesting!) Highly recommend--definitely going back! read more

We were looking for a restaurant in Auburn that neither my in-laws nor my wife and I had been to. A quick Yelp search and we were headed to Pasquale's. It was Mother's Day at 5:30 and we had no reservation. We were told it would be about 15 minutes. 10 minutes later and we were seated in a completely full restaurant. My wife, my father-in-law and I all ordered fettuccine Alfredo. My mother-in-law ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Each meal came with 2 slices of garlic French bread. My mother-in-law (who can be a picky eater) took a couple small bites of her Chicken Parmesan and then she really went after it. To say that she loved it would be an understatement. Our fettuccine Alfredo was also very delicious! Jason, our waiter, was very attentive and very speedy. I love the vibe inside the restaurant; lots of black and white photos on the brick walls and beautiful, traditional decor. Really enjoyed our visit here we sat at the bar with a super fun bartender she was a long time employee with a few regulars hanging out having dinner and they were just as much fun. The pac man arcade game was free!! I hadn't played pac man in decades and I had a blast! Turned out it was happy hour while we were there so we pretty much ordered everything on the HH menu. Cesar salad, pizza, garlic bread, mozzarella sticks everything was good we really liked the food. The beer was cold. Just finished dinner at Pasquale T's in Auburn, on June 4 2024. The service was great but the food was a disappointment. I ordered the Salmon Lemon' for my entree. The Salmon was cooked perfectly, but only came with one half slice of lemon and non added to the fish. The disappointment was the fettuccini pasta that was severely over cooked and had an abundance of Alfredo sauce poured over it. I did not taste and lemon in the sauce. The pasta was a gooey mess. I think that if you are an Italian restaurant the pasta should be easy to prepare. I was a frequent visitor of the old Pasquale's on highway 49 for years. The pasta dishes were always delicious and cooked to perfection. I think the owner should know an Italian restaurant with bad pasta is disappointing! read more

I've had my nose I mean eye on this place for a while and figured for my birthday I would give them a shot. I called ahead earlier in the week and a made a reservation for a party of 9. (gratuity included) they did inform us that they had no problem taking our party but made us aware of their closing time which we truly appreciate. We had one server who absolutely killed it! Let's not forgot about the food I mean it's the real reason we came in. We ordered a variety of items a couple of appetizers, chicken parm, seasonal pizza, rigatoni with prosciutto. After checking the reviews for this place on Yelp, my boss and I decided to have a late lunch here. It was on our way home from truckee to the Bay Area. We walked in, were told to sit anywhere we would like, we found a cute table. We review the menu quickly since we had already gone over it on our drive. We waited about 15 minutes to just have someone over to ask what we wanted to drink, I asked for water with lemon and my boss asked for iced tea, we asked if we could order since we were ready. The food took forever to come, I got Caesar salad with chicken, it didn't say chicken was cold. I personally hate cold chicken, well I had a couple bites of my salad and the dressing was too salty. My boss had cheese raviolis with meat sauce, she said they were good but a little cold. After the food came no one came back to check on us, I need more water and she needed more iced tea. She actually go up went to the bar area to find someone to bring us more drinks and to get us to go boxes. The lady at the counter doing nothing instead of getting us drinks went and found our waitress to do so, another ten minutes go by and we get what we asked for, at that point we just gave her a credit card and asked for her to take care of our bill since we were ready to leave. She didn't even asked why my salad was not even touched. This place was slow at the time we went, I feel they had more employees than actually tables with people. What a treat it is having Pasquale's Ristorante here in town. There are so many nostalgic dishes from the original Pasquale T's. The talented owner, Laura, has added her own delicious culinary additions to make this restaurant truly special. Her choice of location and the indoor/outdoor feel she's created is inviting, even with the hustle and bustle expected when visiting a favored community destination. Each time we've had a meal, our service has been outstanding. The servers are efficient, full of personality and make their guest feel welcomed. Additionally, the kitchen is being run by a truly talented young man. We stumbled across this place looking for another place. I think it's relatively new. The decor inside was super cute. We had amazing service and the appetizer we got was, oh my gosh! So delicious. It was a very unique dish that I want to drive all the way back up to get again. And again. It had cheese, beets, and blackberries. I don't recall the name, but I guess the chef created it. It is on the suite side, so if you don't like super sweet, it may not be your thing. But I could eat this all day long! Since I can't have gluten, I got a dish with gluten-free pasta. The waitress recommended, this chicken broth with mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. It was kind of bland. But the fact that I could safely eat at an Italian place, was great! I think I would just try something different next time. My boyfriend got the seafood pasta, but only with prawns in it. He liked his quite a bit. Nope. We had dinner at Pasquale's tonight &, unless you're into slow, inattentive service, I wouldn't recommend. We had to wait 15 min. just to get a water refill from our server who didn't check in once our whole meal & then took a day to get the bill to the table. I was also underwhelmed by the repeated, conversation-interrupting ask by the other staff, "Can I get that plate for you?" which actually meant "Why don't you keep handing me every plate?"even if it wasn't necessary/in our way, or, hey, my job.
