I had to go buy a mask at the dollar store down the street because I forgot mine. Because a shirt pulled up won't do...buuuuurrttt I can buy a shirt with a built in collar mask. Strike one. There should be something offered to customers who inadvertently forget masks- it happens. Disposable masks are cheap enough and easy to get these days. It's about customer service- especially when the manager on site (Joanie) is rude. Strike two: we had to request someone come and wait on us after sitting at our table with no drinks or even a greeting after about 10 minutes. Strike three: they got one of our orders completely wrong after we waited forever for our food. Brought something entirely different than what was ordered. Strike four: they forgot toast with another order Strike five: they had no hp brown sauce/chef's sauce for the Irish breakfast. (The third dish ordered between us...so ALL of our orders were unsatisfactory.) Done. Won't be back. read more

I go to the Ridley house more than twice a week for dinner and the service is nothing less than attentive and officiant. The bartender Paul & Shawn are clearly knowledgeable in mixology, and strive to make each drink an experience. The food always comes out hot and made with passion & you can feel it with every bite. This place is great for a simple Friday night chill spot. My girlfriend was celebrating her birthday over near the bar and we ordered drinks and food. We had a large party starting from 5 p.m. until after 9 and wasn't crowded. Drinks were good, nice selection of beers, seltzer, and cocktails. Stopped here for dinner with my wife. We were seated quickly in the dining area. Our server was courteous and on point. He answered my questions and a couple of menu items and, which helped me decide what to order. Our appetizers were delicious and came quickly. I ordered the brisket for the main course. It was absolutely amazing and the sweet potato fries and shredded coleslaw were perfect sides. My wife had the braised short rib with roasted veggies and mashed potatoes. She said it was also very delicious. The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend as a great intimate dinner location. read more

Went for breakfast randomly and while the apple cider mimosas are good I didn't order anything to eat because when I asked to substitute a special waffle platter for pancakes instead of waffles the server said " it's a special menu day and he doesn't want to irritate the chef". I do not eat waffles so I didn't order anything. I get special menu days but they wanted to charge an extremely high price but unwilling to adjust to accommodate. I would've paid more to fit my needs but the "I don't want to irritate the chefs" threw me off. As a consumer, I do not want to pay for anything I will not eat in full. The service was horrible. We went there to watch the Eagles game and the waiter spent more time watching the game than we did. We had to chase him down for drinks and again for our check. He's only been there a week, which was obvious. He didn't know the beers or even how much they were. He's definitely in the wrong profession. The bill came and it was $166 for 4 people. I found The Ridley House through a search on google. I had been looking for a place to have a brunch event. Most of the correspondence was through emails and they were not timely responses. No one ever called me, I always initiated the call. There was no sense of urgency whenever I called, and they always had to find the manager Mr. Kennedy, it seems he was never available or no one bothered to try find him to take my call. I stopped by one day and they didn't even bother to try to look for him or even call him. I was not at all pleased with the brunch menu for the event, it was very scant. I had to choose one item or the other...why not both as I am paying for a group brunch and there should have been more offerings. The day before my event I was trying to contact the event sales manager Mr. Kennedy to finalize the event and of course I had to call a few times in order for the staff to look for him!! He never responded to an email sent a few days before. All in all the correspondence was lacking and I don't think they even really cared about my event...as he stated there were numerous events that day. I was happy to have found a place for the event, but the happiness turned to concern and I finally cancelled the event the night before. Of course they kept my deposit. I wish I had followed my gut and cancelled earlier, I actually kept thinking that it would be fine. But it was not. Mr. Kennedy, you need to be more responsive to your customers who book events, you should pick up the phone and speak to them, you should also instruct your co workers to let you know when a customer calls so that you can give them the courtesy of a return call. I hope you do better for the next customer because I was very disappointed with your lackluster attitude. Thanks for nothing. read more

While I am glad they are still open they did not do a very good job with my meal. Not only was my burger cooked incorrectly. I asked for blue cheese on the side (which they failed to give me) and no cheese on the burger and they decided to put cheese on the burger. The website's menu is NOT the same as the one in the restaurant, while the items may be the same they do not match up. The cheesesteak egg rolls were absolutely disgusting, they were over cooked and lacked the side of spicy ketchup. I honestly wouldn't go back even if they gave me a free meal. Went with friends for a fun night out on a Friday night. Saw on their Instagram they were having an ugly sweater Christmas party with a Miller lite special (automatically sold us). This isn't our usual delco bar but we thought we'd try something different and I'm SO glad we did!!! Taylor and Sean were our bartenders and they were absolutely incredible. Honest to god best bartenders I've ever had. Ended up getting free Miller lite scarves and socks from the staff that made our night. 10/10 drinks, DJ and staff.
